  1. Hey all, so it’s the end of the road for this thread as I am here now posting my final 12-month results photos. I have been completely off minoxidil for the last 2 months and occasionally use Pura d’Or to shampoo the hair. I want to thank everyone for their feedback and motivation during this incredible journey and wish everyone who is considering having a transplant much success. Based on the final photos, I am sure many will agree this is a transplant worthy of publicity on the Hair Restoration Network Instagram page, however as we know that is unlikely to happen I also want to thank @ASMEDMANUALFUE for doing a fantastic job, especially where no finasteride was involved (yes, I know this surprised you too!) I am sure people will agree this is an incredible home run , one of the best seen on this forum. Tagging the crowd who followed this thread and gave much needed feedback and support! Finally, am also tagging @Melvin- Moderator I realize you probably had to distance yourself from Asmed related posts but you should be aware that the clinic still produces great results . Proudly No Fin, just a little Min… (ps ignore the back of shirt stains, probably hair dye :)) @Gatsby @BaldV @Navthedon @Pbaird98 @Gramatik @Aus1980 @Jackhair @StillAlive @Jackdaniels @davidn @ITA @JayLDD @botchedguy95 @jerseyman @BRITA-XL
  2. Photo taken last night by my better half.. not a bad angle!
  3. Hit the 10 month mark over the weekend and am including photos with various lighting . Overall the hair has filled in nicely in the last month and the few gaps in the back are pretty much gone . One interesting feedback I am getting is hairline doesn’t look even, but wonder if that is just a function of the way the hair is brushed to the side . Am starting to brush it back more straight line and it does look a bit more even .. anyone has experience targeting the hairline as a follow up transplant ? @Gatsby @Britalian @BaldGuy @botchedguy95 @Jackdaniels @Navthedon @Pbaird98 @Gramatik @Aus1980 @Jackhair @StillAlive @davidn @Melvin- Moderator
  4. FUT is usually recommended for candidates with weaker donor areas as it yields more hair to transplant and leaves more room for future surgeries. I recommend you get a consult done with one of the Thailand surgeons, they regularly perform FUT and can explain more. Dr. Pathomvich is on this forum, also Dr. Sorapong in Chiang Mai.
  5. @magn1fikusbased on the feedback on your donor area, it sounds like you could look into FUT (instead of FUE)...
  6. Barber. Pre-transplant, a cheap and cheerful barber who only used clippers (as there was not a use case for scissors given the lack of hair ). Now, a fancier barber who does a scissor cut and only uses clippers for the sides/back.
  7. Yep got a good result so no complaints. Though was a bit concerned after reading all the negativity about this clinic on here..
  8. had my procedure done at Asmed in April 2022. I paid the premium for Koray, but according to my understanding, he just handles the incisions so technicians understand how/where to place the grafts. the rest of the work is still done by others. Given how many botched cases Asmed has had since 2018, I am guessing it is because he was not involved in those procedures at all (unless I am missing something).
  9. @botchedguy95 are these the photos you are referring to?
  10. @honey21790I do not have the answer for that as it’s been 9 months only. But I don’t believe in taking finasteride.
  11. @botchedguy95Sure . Let me find and come back on that
  12. I’m sure it will @StillAlive. Though I don’t agree it’s time to graduate just yet. Plenty more info to share on other clinics, experiences etc ..
  13. Hit the 9 month mark today and some updated photos. Overall super happy with the progress. Have been told by many transplanters that it was a home run months ago . Didn’t really believe it myself until recently .looks like only some gaps around the crown which is normal. Feedback welcome . @Gatsby @BaldV @Britalian @Navthedon @Pbaird98 @Gramatik @Aus1980 @Jackhair @StillAlive @Jackdaniels @davidn
  14. Transplanted hair looks so much better after a hair dye, wash and hairdryer treat ..8.5 months today .. 😄
  15. I went to the same clinic Apr 2022 and shared exactly your concerns.. my graft calculator looks eerily similar to yours .. in the end it turned out just fine so far , you can check out my thread at your convenience. Happy growing!
  16. I believe so ! You can check it out on the link below .. incidentally usually diet, drinking etc are just guidelines .. I usually drink 1-2 glasses of wine every other night and didn’t stop that either before or after the surgery .. nothing happened.. though I believe you are advised not to as it can thin the blood ..
  17. I wolfed down a huge bag of Haribo gummi bears right after the surgery...definitely helped ease the pain!
  18. @BaldVsure, as soon as we get some sunlight back here...
  19. Thanks @Pbaird98. Any thoughts on the curly hair part? Tagging a few others now as well in case you guys didn’t see my questions .. thanks all! @Gatsby @Gramatik @Aus1980 @Britalian @Jackhair @StillAlive @Jackdaniels @davidn
  20. Hey all - month 8 today (time flies fast!) . Instead of posting the usual “clean” photos, thought I would share unflattering shots just a few minutes after waking up . Though taken under strong light, I have noticed that the hair is very curly, which is unlike my natural hair as I remember it (when I had hair:) curious if other people have had similar experiences or if it is to do more with how the grafts have been placed/ angled.. thanks all!!
  21. good luck to you. I did a consult with Eugenix (on the spot, as you say) and decided I definitely did NOT want to go there. I will be posting on that separately in a topic called "Why I chose NOT to go with Eugenix" - stay tuned!)
  22. @Needadvicepleaseif you have dried sebum it’s a sign of an unhealthy scalp usually caused by scalp hygiene issues , diet and /or too much DHT. Since you take fin you can probably rule out excess DHT. Maybe try to wash your hair more frequently with warm water and a mild shampoo (chemical free / baby shampoo). Then take a look at your diet , could be due to too much sugar/refined carbs. Scalp scrub should help too..
