If you want FUE and want to stay in NYC, then Dorin and Wesley are the best surgeons. Bloxham basically only does FUT and Bernstein used artas, which sucks.
Interesting. I have heard that cortisol levels increase for long operations. I've noticed most ethical/good surgeons perform like 2,000 to 2,500 grafts max FUE on a single day. One of the surgeons I consulted with told me he stopped doing higher graft cases in a single day because a patient had a seizure (this was done by another surgeon and he thought higher cortisol levels contributed to the seizure). This is why I'm so leery of a lot of Turkish clinics that do mega-sessions in one sitting.

Glenn Charles in Florida. Mohebi in California. I can personally attest to Dr. Charles' excellence since I had surgery with him about 12 years ago and will be getting my 2nd surgery from him soon. No shave FUE is a lot tougher and takes a lot more time.
I've seen lots of cases of people going abroad for stuff like cosmetic work and other things and getting botched. Once they get home, their health insurance won't cover anything as a result of the botched job.
Konior, Gabel, Charles, and Mohebi. I went to all 4 for my consult on my case and they were the most thorough. I probably consulted close to a dozen surgeons.
From what I have seen, H&W use too many grafts. There was actually a recent result posted showing this and I've seen other results too from them. Out of Rahal and Bisanga, I'm not sure who is "better." Both are excellent.
From what I have read, doing a few FUT sessions and then going the route of FUE yields more grafts over a lifetime. I don't know if this still holds. Someone else can chime in. Both these surgeons are great.
I think in the hands of a great surgeon about 1,500 for the crown can be down. The 2,500-3,000 grafts for the front makes sense. Yeah, oral minoxidil is better. Have you tried finasteride? If not, get on finasteride ASAP.
To fill in the sides and front and to advance the hairline a little is about 2,500 grafts. I think the crown needs about 2,000 grafts. Have you had any consults yet? If so, what did the surgeons say? Are you on oral minoxidil? How about finasteride?
Definitely. I've noticed H&W use too many grafts in their cases. The results look great. However, another surgeon can get similar results using like half the number of grafts.
