  1. Dear NARMAK, Dang, it doesn't appear as though the Norwood reaper came for you. You seem to have a maturing hairline. Even if you do experience balding, it would not appear to be an issue for you - thick hair, low contrast between hair color and scalp color and thick beard too. I might post my review with Eugenix too since you posted yours so I can get some feedback.Tempting... I hear good things about Dr Das on this forum. She seems to be an up and coming surgeon. You are on your way to having a nice hairline and temporal points. Since you're in India, you can go to a pharmacy and purchase medicine such as dutasteride, finasteride or whatever you want without any prescription. Also, it is very inexpensive there. Lastly, presciption glasses are not costly at all.
  2. I think some doctors prefer their patients to be 25 or older as a minimum. Being on finasteride indefinitely will help sway their decision to operate on you though.
  3. So, I was googling Eugenix and I came across several articles that suggest Eugenix will be opening clinics in Dubai first, then Philadelphia, Chicago, 2 offices in London and Australia. Scaling might entail some hiccups. Spencer from BT said he might be concerned. However, he said if you stick with Dr Bansal and Dr Sethi, you should be fine though. Lastly, the show mentioned the founders will dropping in to NYC for consultations in June.
  4. I read a story where a guy had his hair transplant from a Turkish mill and he stepped outside to enter his pickup vehicle. He bumped his head on the headliner and a bunch of grafts were stuck there. Thus he had to go back to the clinic to get more grafts transplanted. You lost just 1 graft so it's not bad. Also, you mentioned you're height advantaged. You should be careful when you fly back home. On the aircraft where there is very limited legroom and where you're sitting, you might lean forward and bump your head against the back of the seat in front of you. That's what happened to me and I flew back about 6 days later from India. There was a little blood but I had no hair transplanted there, so I was good.
  5. Thanks @Melvin-Moderator for the explanation. I guess I'll wait a year until my second HT grows and matures and if I can do a search and find this poll, I'll vote.
  6. Beautiful work @Dr. Felipe Pittella! If don't require your patients to be on finasteride, what is your protocol to ensure your patients from future hair loss due to androgenic alopecia? Thanks.
  7. To be honest, it is difficult for me to cast a vote. The choices are too extreme. If the selections were, let's say, 5: satisfied, 4: somewhat satisfied, 3: neutral, 2: dissatisfied, 1: hell no; then it would be easier for me to decide. At this point, I am unsure yet. Moreover, I had just had my second HT with Eugenix last month, April 2022.
  8. Finasteride is off patent now. Big pharma has much less to gain than in the past because you can purchase generic version for dirt cheap. In US, you can buy a years worth for less than $9. Also, finasteride was the drug that halted or slowed down my hair loss. I have been taking it for more than 10 years now. Lastly, many reputable hair surgeons strongly recommend their patients to take finasteride such as Dr Couto, Dr Sethi, etc.
  9. Dear NARMAK, Good luck with your HT. I was just at Eugenix last month. Everything in India is cheap. Street food could be had for 50 rupees, which is less than 1 USD. Try not to drink the tap water though. If you are staying at the Westin, there are 2 shopping malls within walking distance. One about 20 minutes, another about 25 minutes across the street.
  10. Let's say a person is only a Norwood 2, 3 or 4 and the person hates the idea of a scar. Why don't hair transplant surgeons perform an FUT first and then several months later perform an FUE of a hundred or so grafts on the linear scar? Won't that be the best of both worlds? High graft count and minimal visibility of scar?
  11. Looks natural and all those pictures from different angles and conditions show the good density.
  12. Finasteride is FDA approved for hair loss. It is safe and effective. Why won't you take finasteride?
