Who do i talk to for meds?

Theres a couple ways. Try going to your doctor. He can either prescribe them to you or give you a referral to a derm who can prescribe them.

You can also try via online places like Keeps. Beware though it is plan based and it will auto renew unless you cancel.

They will also try to upsell the crap out of you. Shipping is slow/unreliable.

How long post-transplant would you think one should wait until using Nizoral?  I'm talking twice a week, not overuse.  It seems Niz is a controversial subject here.  Personally, I've found using it 2-3 times a week (under normal circumstances) thickens hair, but some people here swear against it.  It's worth mentioning that Niz is used by people to treat folliculitis (which can and does occur on the forehead of people who haven't had a hair transplant), so perhaps it would be useful in lessening folliculitis in the recipient area?  I've been told by my doc it's ok to use it 1-2 times a week starting several weeks post-op - I'm not really asking this for my own circumstances - I'm just curious to see if there is anything resembling a general consensus on the matter here.

Nizoral doesn't thicken hair. It dries the crap out of it, making it seem thicker.

Once you're all healed up I don't see a problem using it?

Be sure to leave it on the scalp a good 5-10 minutes.

It didn't do much for my folliculitis. Washing 2x a day with simple head and shoulders helped though.

    What's the peaky blinders look?

When the doctor fails to extract grafts in a manner that results in a homogenous appearance. The contrast between the patches/gaps in hair. This can also happen with the best possible extraction methods because the patients donor is simply too thin.

Did Eugenix say you were a candidate, or was that your call? They've said they could operate on me no problem, but I'm wary...

    I'm a diffused NW 3V.

Yes Eugenix accepted my case. Eugenix would operate on just about anyone as long as you agree to take Fin. Oral or topical.

You have to respect Eugenix for that. Not everyone is a suitable candidate. But everyone has a chance at Eugenix.

    PRE-OP AND POST OP PICTURES!

    Hello All!

I had the pre-op and post-op photos just sent through by the Eugenix Post Care team via WhatsApp and wanted to share them. I'm also hoping to get the full high resolution images a bit later because i do think the very fine up close quality isn't showing as clearly as it should with the lower compression.

So, i hope to share the pics again soon but here's what i have right now :)

One thing i have certainly realised having gone through this and buzzed my entire head, i could technically go bald BUT i don't like the head shape at the back personally for it. It's a little too flat to my liking and i'd prefer to keep the hair on my head fingers crossed

Very clean work. This should be a layup for Eugenix considering your situation.

Also your lower scalp...I mean beard, looks pretty solid if you want to harvest that thing.

    Good luck!

Evening guys...... im just over 3 weeks in and yet I've got redness (to be expected). However, the area front centre is still a little numb and I can still feel a low level pain. Is that normal??

Seems pretty normal to me. You just had thousands of micro stabbings on your dome. Maybe post a pic for the forum if you want to be safe.

Unless theres signs of infection I wouldn't worry.

  6. Transplant or no transplant - your hair, including the donor will thin considerably faster than without fin.

Your donor looks pretty thin, thinner than mine. I put my surgery on pause with Eugenix for this reason, even with taking fin for 2 years.

My hair rarely gets longer than 1.5 inches, so in my case, surgery would be very tricky.

If you're comfortable wearing your hair 2-3 inches long go for it.

Or if the peaky blinders look doesn't bother you, even better.

    Good luck.

    Hi all,

Hopefully this is the right sub-forum for this type of question.

I'm 33.5 years old with balding on the crown and a receding hairline. I also have a pretty thick donor area. (Pic attached). I am hoping to get in for a transplant with Dr Nader in the next few months.

My question is this: I really don't want to go on Fin/Min. Mainly because of the side effects, hassle, and long term costs. I know this topic gets a lot of opinions swirling so I'd like to avoid the "Most people don't get side effects" discussion. What I would like to discuss is peoples thoughts (And personal stories) on avoiding Fin/Min after a first transplant and just planning to get a 2nd done later on with perhaps some Micro Pigmentation to add the appearance of thickness. It sounds like 6000 grafts is what's needed for a decent full head of hair, and with prices in Mexico/Turkey being lets say 1.35 per graft that's only $8100. I understand this wont return you to full native levels of thickness, but add in some Micro Pigmentation and it seems like you're good to go. No risk of side effects, and cheaper long term cost than a lifetime of Min/Fin but also without the daily hassle.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this plan?

I think you're taking a massive leap of faith by implying a cheap clinic will give you the result you want, or a great result even, which would allow you to forgo fin/min etc.

It's the biggest risk, infinitely more risky than medication. Not saying you MUST go to Dr. Konior and the like but let's not kid ourselves here.

Also, everyone's donor looks thick when it's 1+inch long. Can it handle 6k grafts? Let's see a better picture.

Well guys, i've arrived mostly intact lol. The driver has picked me up from the airport and despite the now problematic knee just happy to finally have got here.

Hoping to get checked in and get some sleep. I definitely think the knee problem is only something i can address once i get back to the UK.

I also forgot my bag with my Dutasteride, contact lenses and prescription glasses. So if the problems so far weren't enough, add to that me almost losing my only right eye contact lens. I don't know why or how it happened, but one blink wrong and it popped out. Gave me a really big scare. Found it luckily in my face mask whilst looking extremely carefully and managed to put it back in albeit making my eye water horrendously and go red.

I literally am at the mercy of god right now lol. I hope he chooses to bestow upon me much smoother sailing than i have had getting here :D

    Stay tuned guys!

    Lol

Like you said, you just have to laugh at the absurdity of it all.

    Good luck!

All good. Well, I did send them many more and closer-up pictures than I shared here, so they have the full evaluation. I also told them I want to be aggressive as possible with the donor area. I don't mind that it would look depleted to a degree. In fact, this is a question I keep asking in my head, as I don't understand why it seems like the majority of high NW transplants do not sufficiently result in uniform density across the entire head (from my observation). It seems that in most cases the back and sides of the head remain thicker and more dense than the entire top, and I personally disagree with this. The goal for me is to completely eliminate the ring pattern on my head. Uniform density across the entire head is preferable because it doesn't draw attention to any one particular area of the head. Personally, my donor area becoming more transparent is not a concern of mine. I am okay with that happening and I don't quite understand why so many people start out as implying that that's a problem. Hair on the top of the head is far more important for attractiveness and overall aesthetic in life than hair on the sides and back of the head. Just my opinion but it's the one I'm probably going to proceed with no matter what journey I end up going on.

There will be nothing aesthetic about a patchy donor. Achieving uniform density will be next to impossible with a completely bald vertex and below average donor (nw 6-7).

Nonetheless, I wish you nothing but a successful outcome! You will be in good hands with Eugenix. 👍

    You're talking about beard, right?

My mistake, I didn't see your donor in the first post.

I'm not sure your donor can handle 3700 grafts without looking see-through/over harvested.

Eugenix are always ambitious with their approach and I will likely have my procedure with this clinic, but I just don't see 3700 grafts with your donor and a homogenous/natural looking appearance when all is said and done.

    Just my 0.02 cents!

I had a transplant on the hairline a few years ago while on finasteride, I have thick har everywhere except on the hairline where I did the transplant and I was thrilled with the results.

Two years after the surgery, my finasteride ran out and being in a different country, I got a different prescription(brand), a few months after that, my transplanted hair fell of(only transplanted hair), regrew and fell off constantly for two years, being very distressful for me.

After having no clue what it was I suspected maybe the finasteride I've been taken wasn't legit, I got sent the original finasteride from the farmacy that I took years ago.

Within a week I felt sensation on the breast area which tells me there is estrogen levels rising which I didn't feel for the 2 years taking the other pills, and now at 4 weeks after I am experiencing again an overnight shed of transplanted hairs!

Could this be possible if I had been taking expired or placebo fin and now that I got the legit one?

What is the name of the manufacturer of this suspicious finasteride?

since i have some small hairs on the hairline from my treatment and hair fibers hold on them, so my hairline is fixed by hair fibers, is there point to make an transplant 1000 grafts?

Even though you have been on fin for 6+months I still think at 24, your loss is fairly aggressive and you should hold off for a few years. (Easy for me to say since i'm not in your shoes.)

I also think your donor while it holds some grafts, is pretty thin and you might hate how it appears after even a small FUE procedure.

    All the best bro.

    Hi,

Planning to get a Hair Transplant done at Eugenix, I have reached out to them and they got back with the pricing.

I am struggling to decide between Premium package and the exclusive one. There is a signficant price difference and was wondering what the risk is if i decide to go with the exclusive package ?

Can anyone share some pros and cons if possible please ? Thanks for your help !

With the premium package a portion of extractions are done by Dr Arika, exclusive package 100% are done by techs.

Both packages have the incisions done by doctors. Dr Das and Dr Arika respectfully.

Both are led by either Dr Das Or Dr Arika.

    Both have techs do implanting.
