I think it looks on track so far! It's reassuring to hear that your confident about getting skin fades in the future as I had the same worry.

I have noticed that some of Dr De Freitas's patients area of transplant is very pink and quite obvious that they have had a transplant (even a few months after). I wonder why this is and with some other doctor's patients this isn't the case 🤔

Does the pink/redness bother you much? I have my transplant with Dr De Freitas in March so hopefully you post some more updates by then 😀

Id say the flash definitely exaggerates the pink, it doesn't look anywhere near as pink in real life so it doesn't bother me at all. I think it might be the case of lighting but I am not sure, il keep the thread updated on the redness as we go on in the journey. Goodluck in your journey man! You don't have anything to worry about

Thanks guys for your comments. I know 7 months is early and multiple surgeries may be needed. However, ambi right to regret i didnt go for the top tier package? because my planning stage was rushed and i was told that area would be transplanted. I am giving it the full 12 months and hoping for the best because the care and effort eugenix put in is amazing. Looking back now, if i was consulted properly i wouldve said main area needing grafts was crown and midscalp just make sure that is done and for the sake of an extra 1000 grafts i feel inwould have had a full head of hair!

7 months is not early, the issue here is the planning and miscommunication. Hair is not going to grow where it was not implanted. I am not sure if buying a higher package would have yielded a better result if I am honest. Id expect some variation in skill between different packages but the planning process should be the same across all packages?

Dw OP this isn't too much of a disaster, you have already responded well to a hair transplant the only downside is that you will have to go through this process again

  4. 1.5 Month Update

    • I changed from 5mg oral minoxidil to 2.5mg oral minoxidil as I wasn't enjoying the puffiness I got near my eyes and forehead. Admittedly my diet hasn't been great and I have been binge eating so maybe that played a role but I have scaled back and that has eliminated the puffiness. I plan to go back up to 5mg in a couple of weeks again.
    • I went for my first haircut today and the barber said I have many hair transplant customers but the extractions from the back are invisible and you cannot tell, this is the best work he had seen from the back. I was very pleased about that. Hopefully the front will also be at the same standard.
    • I got a skin fade so you can see what's happening there, it's safe to say I should be able to continue to get skin fade in the future which I am very happy about
    • I am deep into the ugly duckling phase. Wish I could press the skip button to month 4.
    • I was wearing a hat hence why front hair is messy.2.thumb.jpg.d48789fb243233d2fd6af19010cff921.jpg3.thumb.jpg.eb7b1ab437e63d0512a8ef608fa81131.jpg4.thumb.jpg.7d2ed32e12d36e34a81f922fed4af320.jpg5.thumb.jpg.db201a4983c613099ffa209d2a6c04e6.jpg6.thumb.jpg.241f8623f6e77dde64b775bab65b36d3.jpg7.thumb.jpg.a0796c92dbef6d600bc85a9044e30e2d.jpg8.thumb.jpg.5ae5665bad26733efee1c5ff347fd019.jpg9.thumb.jpg.5dc604c74a88fe9307e154d489c99a58.jpg

    What do you guys think?

Every drug has risks associated with them. It's up to you to accept the risk profile or not. I've heard discussion about minoxidil and it's effects on collagen production for example and maybe that's not worth it to you

The inverse is also true where you develop say... Wrinkles and you think maybe i shouldn't have taken oral minox.

Have you got some more info on collagen production stopping? I definitely noticed the wrinkle around my eye was a bit more prounounced. Is it too much to ask for more hair whilst keeping my youthful skin lol

  6. oral minoxidil has some really good before and after results and the medicine clearly works. It's still not as important as finasteride/dutasteride but its the next best thing. Have you tried alldaychemist? I am not sure if it will deliver to sweden but that is where I get it from and the medicine works because I had puffiness in my eyes for the first 15 days before my body has gotten more used to it now. How did your surgery go? I had mine with Dr Freitas just a month before you

  7. Hey man so I switched to oral minoxidil I think 2 weeks ago. I just went straight into 5mg and I definitely developed puffy and dark eyes (the puffiness I wasn’t sure if it was the hair transplant but as the days went by I knew it was the minoxidil) I have quite good skin so it was alarming to see the dark under eyes and people around me also told me u look like you have swelling. I thought Il stay on it to see if this changes and luckily in the last few days it has minimised. I would say keep it at for a couple of weeks to see if your body adjusts then you can make a decision accordingly. I know what you mean about being scared to drop it though it’s a tough decision with the looming danger of a shed

Great results ! Was it mandatory to go on meds to go to this clinic. I currently take topical minoxidil and am nervous about finasteride but really wanna book with this doctor.

I am not too sure. I was on meds when I went so they didn't question it, just told me to continue taking meds. Dr Freitas highlighted the importance of taking meds during surgery though.

  9. The next 2 months are gna be great bro. Hold tight

P.S sorry I saw your last update and thought it was your latest 4 month update. But I realised this was 2 months ago… look forward to your update
