I think the difference is McGregor paid for his HT, Ngannou I’m sure was paid. This particular clinic has been sponsoring a lot of YouTubers and celebrities. It can have a negative impact on young men who don’t do their research and just go there, my only hope is that they perhaps do some research and stumble here.

I am THAT guy. I was booked to go now hair time in June which changed to Eugenix in September thanks to this forum 🙂

Hi, nice to hear from you. :)
I don't believe hair fibers would work on the frontal area; it's more so for masking the crown.

SMP is kinda like permanent hair fibres that hide your scalp, not sure if SMP can look natural on the front area either.
I suppose on sunny days we can have our hair "down" hiding the hairline (depending on how well your crown area is)?

Have you begun your hair transplant journey?

I thought hair down would yield same reveal through the scalp in harsh sunlight, hows your hair like when it is down in harsh sunlight, can you see through?

I am beginning my journey in September, can't wait!

  3. Thanks for posting your journey! from what it was to now it's definitely a LOT better but I too am just learning about this lighting condition as yourself. I didn't know that it can have such a drastic difference on your transplanted hair appearance :(. On a sunny day then do you just have to accept people seeing you with a thinning hair line or does fibers usually fix that? or does this problem differ from person to person

I was just talking to the rep and had questions regarding shock loss potential, the hair being maybe wave and how that might impact transection and stuff. The rep arranged a consultation with the senior Dr for me and it happened to be with Dr Das and she put my mind at ease and i specifically then requested her to be assigned to me.

I think you might want some temple point work done to help with the aesthetic look of your hairline and procedure and tbh, the big plus about Eugenix seems to be that they're familiar with South Asian hair types which i may be wrong here but you seem to be. Although they do have a history of having worked on a range of racial types from Caucasian and Asian it seems.

    I'm from the UK myself.

I think it's definitely a peace of mind thing and initially when i was looking at Eugenix, Dr Arika Bansal was involved in the 120 RS package but this changed towards the end of last year and unfortunately i didn't contact and get my booking deposit in before that change was done but i am happy with the package and involvement of Dr Das being agreed.

I'm booked for May but just waiting on a Visa to get granted. Hopefully gonna share more of my journey on here when the time comes.

Oh okay that's cool! I believe Dr Das used to be on 75 package but then moved to the 120 RS. Yeah I read about the packages and price increase, that same value at 120 now has to be at 210, I made the decision to go with 210 as I really want Dr Bansal to lead this so fingers crossed.

Nice may is a bit soon for me I need to save some more money lol but I think il be going for September as prices seem to be lower then.

You are right I am Indian :D so I feel comfortable that their native language is something I understand  and therefore make any communication easier. I asked them about temple area and they said they would need to see me in person before deciding on that as temples can be tricky. Did you confirm some temple grafts for yourself?

Search the forum, there's a case on here at 120 RS. I believe it's with Dr Das. It looks solid.

I think whenever you ask them, they do tend to defer to Eugenix as a brand and focus on all packages offering a quality result but its obviously down to you if you feel that you would get a better result by paying for the involvement of the named founders involvement.

Personally it was too much of a stretch for me. I am hoping to go to them but waiting on my Visa stuff to get sorted but i'm opting for the Exclusive Package which is the 120 RS. I had a consultation with Dr Das and felt like i'd be in good hands and she's got the pedigree after many years under the founders learning and having her own results.

I have seen a few with Dr Das and they are really good but I think I am just going to stretch it and go for the 210 for my peace of mind. I know myself If I do the lower one il question it the whole time and that stress isn't worth the extra money in the bank. You had direct consultation with Dr das how did you do this are you from India? I am currently speaking to a rep on WhatsApp.

Also if anyone can recommend anyone specific based on my hair pattern and loss id appreciate it otherwise I think Eugenix is the one I am going for. I did contact Dr Mwamba and a couple other highly regarded people on here but the waiting list is crazy!

Ignore Insta reviews. Always look for real patient results. This is just a low cost hairmill. Bad reviews posted everywhere.

Hey do you have any links to these reviews I just can't find any, i am not going to this place but I was very close to do so before I found this forum so I am intrigued to see real non social media results.. thanks

As long as you are taking medication and committing to the routine then the rest is just hopefully a bit of luck being on your side. I think 2500 sounds about right to reconstruct the hairline for you and if you choose the 210 RS package, with taxes that would be a bit over £6k plus your flights and hotel stay if you do decide to be there a bit longer which is recommended it seems.

If you do decide to opt for the lower 120 RS package + tax, it does bring the cost down considerably to like just over £3500 at current exchange rates.

So, if you got the money and feel confident that the quality is more assured with the 210 package, power to you. I personally am not as fortunate but i'd trust their 75 RS package over even any hair mill in Turkey lol. Personally i think the 120 RS with senior doctors and senior technicians is within a more affordable budget for most travelling there from UK, Europe, US etc.

That said, patients should always fo their research on a case by case basis and what they require when choosing a clinic.

Oh believe me I am doing overtime just so I can save up for this lol.  It's the 120 and 210 which I am really stuck by... there's a huge leap between the two. 120 is reasonable, the 210 is a stretch and will dig a hole in the pocket. I am going to look at several examples before deciding but I am leaning towards the 210, will keep the forum updated on the whole journey!

Eugenix have a bit of flexibility in terms of whether you go for the 120RS exclusive option with their senior doctors/technicians or the founders at 210+. The cost is a factor for some, but the quality is what should be your first priority and right now they're knocking it out of the park it seems.

I would personally have said if you don't have any side affects, maybe increase to 1mg/day sooner rather than later. I feel like the more DHT blocked, the better chance of keeping what you have and maybe anything that was still being affected can stand a better chance of recovery too. The problem with Minoxodil being the first thing you used is that it can kind of mask the hair loss because you don't treat the underlying cause which is DHT based. That's why usually starting with Finasteride and then switching after 12 months or so is a good idea.

Good job on the Microneedling plan and hopefully you see results. Think of the cost as a proper investment into yourself that will pay dividends everytime you go look in the mirror and present to other people whilst looking after your donor for any future need to have a further hair transplant. A lot of younger guys make the mistake of thinking "Oh, it's so much money(!)" but happily chuck £300-500 per month on a lease car and £30-50 on a phone contract monthly spending almost £4k+ but think a hair transplant designed to stay with them for their entire life is expensive at £4k.

I think it's ridiculous how people justify the cost of some stuff in their mind, but won't budget for something life changing.

I’ve decided to go with 210. I’d rather spend a bit more for something that will be life changing (couldnt agree more about car leave and phone contracts vs gambling on your HT) . Can’t thank people like you and others in this forum enough for saving me from a hair mill, I still need to cancel my appointment with them xD

So Eugenix said I’d need 2500 grafts but didn’t want to operate on my crown yet. They said I can manage this and should see improvement with medications. I am going to up my finasteride dose from today to 1mg a day 🤞 + minoxidil once a day (should I change to two? It’s such a chore) + nizoral and micro needling.

P.s. it’s been about 3 years now I’ve been using minoxidil but finasteride I only started a year ago so you could be right about how much I am masking here. My dad is NW 7 , the ONLY one bald in the family , he was already bald by 27 so hopefully I don’t have his genes!

It depends entirely on whether you feel the extra cost per graft is worth it for Dr Arika/Dr Sethi on the 350RS packages + tax of 18%.

The lower package of 210 has slightly less involvement by Dr Arika Bansal but includes yhe procedure being lead by and crucial extractions done by her.

The  120 RS package is with senior Eugenix doctors and technicians. There's probably a result on here by some of those.

Right now i'd advise you to get a consultation from Eugenix directly and see what they say for grafts and whether to do things in one session. Your crown has quite a fair bit of thinning and i know you said you been using Minoxodil too, so i think you might want to introduce Microneedling with a Derma Pen into the mix and use Nizoral shampoo for an added boost in your hair loss regime.

The primary problem for you imo is your age. You are 27 and been on Finasteride for a year, and although thia will continue to keep working for many more years and hopefully thicken the crown area too slowly over time, your hair loss looks like a Norwood 3V in many ways. That means the first procedure may concentrate on your frontal hairline and temple points with a few grafts towards the crown.

Personally i would add Micro needling into the mix and see how you get on over the next few months whilst you get a consultation.

Hey Narmak thank you so much for your feedback. I have literally just ordered the derma roller now so I will start using that, I think not doing too much on the crown is probably a good idea in the initial HT as I may be able to retrieve some density with derma roller and minoxidil + continued use of finasteride, I currently take 1mg every other day, maybe after a few months il switch to 1mg everyday I have had no side effects so far thank god. I will start implementing Nizoral shampoo too as I have been lazy with that.

Maaaaaan I thought I was going to be sorted for £2600 with now hair time but here I am contemplating spending £6/7000 haha but from reading the posts here Id rather have a good surgeon from the get go rather than go to them for repairs!

  10. Hello Guys

Firstly I want to thank this website for saving me from hair mills. I actually have a booking for now hair time and previously got a quote from hair of Istanbul, I was lured in by the thick hair lines and the social media following.

I have now been researching on this forum and found so much info. I have made a decision I will go with a doctor and would rather pay more upfront rather than spend money repairing. I will attach my pictures if anyone would like to give recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. My budget was £3000 but after reading everything I think I will extend to £6000. With nowhairtime I was quoted at 3500 grafts and Vera clinic said I would need 4750 grafts lol. How much graft do you guys think I would need for my hairline to be restored with a natural look and the scalp?

Once again thanks a lot guys I will keep everyone updated on my journey so it can help others.

p.s. I have been on finasteride for a year now and minoxidil for 3 years and I am 27 years old.
