  1. Minutes, probably yes. If its just few seconds, should be ok, i was told that other than the uv, the heat can kill the grafts. No idea on how much we can tolerate, but i don't think testing it is a good idea. Umbrella would be good. I think you can wear a hat once all scabbing has been shed, just wear one that isn't tight. I wore one starting day 11 when my scabs all fell off.
  2. Same opinion on @RTC being unjustly banned. I feel like reliving middle school where the victim gets suspension just like the bully. I guess now it's a forum rule to not use any slang at all, or words that are not recognized globally then.
  3. it's true that this forum does have very bad opinion on hair mills, bashing them even. but it's also true that hair mills are notorious for their result and probability compared to 'proper' work done, as the care and expertise is minimal, and the risk is very high. if you see botch and results that needs repair work, with people even contemplating suicides, the majority of these are results of hair mills. if this is not a cosmetic or aesthetic surgery, instead a major health related one like a heart surgery or any other, these clinics would have been trialed due to outrage, with the surgery done partly by 'unqualified' hands. there are good results coming from hair mills, and the percentage isn't horrible too, not to mention due to the price. but the 'hate' that is directed to them, isn't just a biased "your doctors vs my doctors", but due to actual result of hair mills being the reason.
  4. if you want to be safe, 6 months. i don't know the exact timing, but i think i saw people saying 3/4 months, i'm waiting until 6 months myself just to be on the safer side.
  5. that's a pretty potent content of alcohol... it would also be very fast to evaporate, so i have no idea about the absorption. why not try mixing with minoxidil then if you're making it DIY? minoxidil is an alcohol base as well, with that you basically apply both meds in one go
  6. Probably worried of either rival doctor price cutting them, or they charge a stupid amount compared to their pricing. Or maybe they're just tired of people asking but never showing up, that though they should only say they can only tell the price in person at clinic, but there is no need to charge 200.
  7. i think it's best to create a new thread, esp since the pricing changes quite often, but i reckon you'd be able to afford some docs in europe, without needing to stick to turkey. like that you'd be able to get input from other members and their experience too
  8. Again, price wise, a great budget option. It's hard to compare since i have no idea what 'most surgeon' translates to. But most if not everyone here would point you to other docs if you an afford 2.5 per grafts and more, which is telling. I've never seen them being 100% recommended if someone ask who to go to if money is not an issue, and very often if people ask while presenting a lower budget.
  9. PRP doesn't really do much for hair restoration, except makes healing and growth go faster. PRP is also marketed in beauty clinic for regeneration etc, healing, which works, albeit marginally compared to the price, but that's beauty industry for you. unfortunately for us, while it aids, it wont regrow lost hair, and whether it will maintain and prevent you from losing more hair is unproven. and while it help grows hair that is already there, those hair most likely will still grow without it, and for the new hairs, they would most likely stay as baby vellus hairs, no more than that.
  10. depend on who you compare with. a lame american based surgeon could still cost you 5 a graft. good budget option since compared to many other docs that are compared here, the two is way cheaper, at 1-1.5 euro per graft. it's pretty relative since from the reccomendation, there are several 2.5-3 euro per graft docs too, but some are more popular for others. need to compare apple to apple instead of apple to pineapple, different parameter yield different result.
  11. Gather information, analysis, and opinion that is or at least seem trustworthy and logical, after that you weigh the risk and benefit yourself, then make an informed decision. There is no absolute right or wrong on if you should or not with HT and the meds. Consensus in the end are just consensus, they are good to abide by most of the time, but not necessarily a must heed.
  12. Korea got some pretty decent one, you'll need to check on korean webs or forum though since many of the english one is marketed / endorsed when they mention korean ones
  13. it's only been 2.5 months, it's pretty normal, sometime some area lags behind. wait a couple months more and you should see new growths, otherwise, you would want to check it.
  14. donor restocking is just restoring your donor look, for example from overharvesting. fit farming, is when you move your donor around, so that you can space the donor to look decently normal, without overharvesting, so you can use the grafts for HT on the scalp or front. you min max the donor spacing, by moving them around, and then graft that doesn't have to be there, is moved to fill your head.
  15. I don't think it will. HT is an illusion. Same problem as mine, in which it seems like the whole HT area looks transparent when compared to the natural hair, correct?. That is the case unless you have a 2nd do over to increase density, or have a dense packing on your HT. It will look less than the native hair. I usually add some hair fiber on the area to conceal this problem
  16. been taking minox and fin for around 7 years i think, maybe 5 since there was time when i didnt take it, probably for 1-2 year early on. got back on it though thankfully, otherwise i'd be on worse starting point pre-HT the clinic doesn't check back on you, unlike many others, but they have been replying to me whenever i have questions. the agent did tell me to update him on around day 3 or if there is any irregularities or worries. the doc asked if i have any concern, and i did tell them my scalp is somewhat see through and thinning. perhaps that why they did. although i agree, it seems that many doc would advise against it until later when it's thinned further. from the first pre shave pic though, you can notice the skin, despite me having around 8cm of hair length, so there is definitely some significant thinning, so i suppose it is fine and as long as they all grow well and doesn't shock the surrounding hair to die, it'll be an improvement.
  17. i've lost ground when i was under heavy stress, in which the only thing that came back from it were baby hairs... which effectively mean that they are lost already. as of now, it's a bit hard to know wheter i have lost anymore, especially since i've just undergone an HT. in my case, i don't blame finasteride, just that it did contribute to it, due to the... aching thing and i have no idea about the erection, since for my case it's mostly my own bodily function and mentality which dictates them. i remember still having morning wood despite taking the meds when i first started. like you said, it's more likely that it's due to other things as well that makes the side apparent aside from some very sensitive people who respond very harshly to the med. i suppose i might change only when i keep losing ground, and i still have healthy sexual function, since otherwise switching would exacerbate my sexual health. in a game like term, i'd think of the issue as 'little brother' have 100 HP in total, and when he has less than 65 hp, he cannot function well 😂, maybe ED yada yada . once we get older, our body and lil bro gets weaker, which reduce it's max hp, and when we are under stress and life debuff, we lose some more HP. consider the meds as a -10 hp when it's in effect, so basically you're fine with the meds as long as you're healthy, but once you hit less than 75 hp, the meds will cause a failure on 'lil brother' health check, leading to a failing performace.
  18. i'd recommend the topical instead since taking it orally might make you grow hair in unwanted spaces. i'm talking at your temple, cheek, etc. it is more work and chore with topical but it's less risky in that regard.
  19. i see... the simplest way to think of DUT is like fin on steroid then. to be honest, i don't know how much side i am experiencing, i don't have a problem with the usual side effect, as in i am capable of doing things and don't think it affects me much. but as i am getting older over time, i am worried that it might trouble me in the future. what do you suggest? should i give DUT a try, or perhaps only if i see significant loss which means fin doesn't work anymore? i used the topical since i'd like to minimize the side effect as much as i can, but there isn't any topical dut sold here. yeah man, i think one of the reason i lost abit more ground before this is because there was probably around 2 years which i am off the meds. but at that time, my age is still pretty young so the thinning/ loss isn't immediately noticeable. topical studies in DUT does give so many different result, with the theory that the molecule size wouldn't let it get into the system, but other studies showing that the blood content is affected meaning it does go systemic. i suppose DUT is fairly new compared to fin and the fear of higher side probability puts off many people. mixed feeling on these sides tbh, one of the reason we want hair is the sexual or general appeal since mostly we'd be more desirable, but at the same time, crippling our sexual function is pretty much counterproductive, and would be depressing and stressful, at the same level of getting bald.
  20. Dutasteride seems to be a solution when finasteride isn't cutting it, and rather than upping the finasterude doaage, it seems that many would instead advocate to using dutasteride. I want to ask the members here what they think about it, and when and if someone should switch to DUT from fin, and what to expect, such as risk and possible shedding. (I'm on topical fin at the moment if that matters)
  21. EU docs are more popular here, not that the two thai docs are worse than them. It's just easier to see the work and pitfall of a doc or clinic when you have a bigger sample, especially review posted by patients instead of the clinic representative since they will always pick out good result to post and never the bad ones. With patient, bad, decent, and great results are all posted. The ratio will be skewed but at least we can consider them ourselves how to view it.
  22. there isn't much reason to go to path or laorwong compared to EU docs then unless you're in aussie or NZ? since mostly aussie people goes to these two because they are nearby, saving both money and time. both handles a fair amount of aussies due to the factor above, so it should be safe. otherwise, if you're not from aussie or aren't limited due to distance or other factor, the EU doctors here are more popular. that also means their waiting list is way longer though, so if you're "in a hurry", the two docs are still a valid choice due to circumstances.
  23. hard to say, but for asian hair pattern, i'd think they are above average, and are very good. if you see results of many top patients, asian are in minority usually, and korea is one of the go to for asian cosmetic surgery, while most of the forum users and the recommended docs are in EU, as most agree EU is the place to go. asian hair is both easy and hard to do, easy due to how straight and coarse the follicles usually are, hard due to difference in the typical hairline pattern. most of EU doc, including mine designed a recessed hairline that is... worse looking in asian. depending on ethnicity and facial structure, we have differing hairline, unlike how it's usually M shaped for caucasians, and slight curved U or straight line for afro. our hairline range from slight curved n shape, to M shape, with most commonly being straight _ line with slight curvature depending on family history. we also have very low hairline compared to the rest, meaning what people think is a juvenile hairline, is usually adult hairline for us, and recessed hairline? add +8 to +15 aging for asians. what people think is natural for us is usually considered advanced, that people know immediately you're balding, or will think you're at least a decade older. so to say, it's not due to the difficulty, but that most of the docs here don't handle enough asian patients, and some, due to the experience of handling other races would just design their usual hairline, and think if asian patient ask for more, it's just greed and will say it's unnatural. for my case... while i'd rather have a slightly lower hairline and more straightneded hairline, knowing the possibility i would be most likely a NW 6 in the future... am just coping with it since if the new HT hairline is what i "want", then in the long run, later when i need another HT, i wouldn't have any hair left to cover my head. that said, if you're asian, korea does do a lot of HT, but i can't tell which clinic are worth their price since they... are rather good at marketing and i have no idea which have great actual reviews and which doesn't
  24. d+1 is fine, although i wouldn't say so for the same day you have your op. i suggest minimum 3 days, since the first 3 is when they're settling down, and it'd be harder to dislodge them. 7 if you want to be safe.
  25. high risk, too many marketing, with paid / untrue review. not sure if it's serkan's (i've forgotten already since i just classify into hairmill category), but many hair mill would go a long way to prevent bad review, drown them, by delaying indefinitely or even threatening to sue for defamation. price wise, you kind of get what you pay for with the risk, knowing you're paying the cheapest option available for HT, same thing as buying knockoff things. but most here would like to minimize the risk, for fair reasons.
