  1. C2,

from what i hear, you are in very good hands. Dr. Feller is one of the top surgeons. He doesnt employ any salespeople. does all the consults and other correspondence himself.

you mentiones 1500 grafts. FUE or Strip?

Speaking of propecia, someone had told me Dr. feller was not big on prescribing propecia to his patients. Now, this was a few months ago, so i dont know if anything has changed. when you do your consult with him, ask him of his opinion if you can.

    best of luck

    Paris.

  2. Hi neil, very happy to hear you are feeling good about the HT.

Hi Notsohairy, good to hear about your positive results. I tried contacting you a while ago. i guess we spoke on one of the forums. Anyway, i am curious to see your before/after pics, since you are almost at the six months post-op.

i have been looking into Dr. E for a while and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks.

  3. Hi Philly, it looks very good and i am sure it's going to get better and better.

Ron, i was wondering if you could post some before/after pics. i am very interested in seeing as much of Dr. Epstein's work as possible, and i would appreciate it.

    thanks.

  4. Neil, i think i know what you mean, now that i look at your pics again.

Hope it works out great. you have a very good of hair to begin with and with some fine work, it would look awesome.

Philly, i do have a question. since you had your hair buzzed pre op, and you said no one is able to tell you had anything done. I guess, i would think that if you have some hair on your top now, especially hairline, you would wanna see a difference. i would. Or, is it that most of the transplanted hair haven't started growing, and there is no sign of it where it was transplanted. i hope i am being clear, cuz i think i just confused myself, haha.

    talk to you later guys.

  5. hi Neil and Phillyhair,

happy new year to both of you.

    how is the healing Philly?

Neil, your pre-op pics looks pretty good. If i remember correctly, you went to Dr. E for repair. who was your original doc, and do you have any pics before your first procedure. If you ask me, your pre-op pics look very nice. what exactly was the problem?

    thanks

  6. Hi gavin,

i have heard similar stories from others. keep taking it, and go for HT for the hairline. i am assuming you are taking 1mg every day.i havent yet taken it myself. the side effects have been hyped up so much. how bad was the rash. and how long did it last. did you have any other side effects? i have even heard your facial features changing and stuff.

    good luck

  7. Dr. Epstein, you mentioned you dissuade your younger patients from getting crown work done. i am curious, how young is young? what other factors determine your decision?

i think that crown work is as important as the front. essentially, if you have a bald crown, you still look at yourself as "bald", which sorta defeats the purpose of HT. Just my opinion. would appreciate your views further elaborated, if you can.

    thanks

    paris.

  8. Hi Robert, thanks for your advice. i am very aware of the "agenda posts". trust me, i take just about everything with a grain of salt. i have been researching surgeons for over 3 years. for now, its dr. Epstein, until i hear something negative. moreover, i have to tell you, there is nothing that potential patients like myself value more then the feedback of people like Phillyhair and Neil Nelson. they have been so thorough in their details, that i feel like i have been there every step of the way. i am looking forward to seeing their pics. but, still a long way to go before i decide on a doc. your help as well as that of philly and neil is immense.

    thanks.

  9. headsup, from what i have come to understand on these forums and doctors's websites, 20-25 per sq.cm wouldn't nearly be enought to get a full look. most docs talk in the range of 45-50 to some even considering upto 60. i am not an expert on this, so its just my opinion. do your research.

  10. hi there Phillyhair and Neil, i am pleased to hear about your experiences with Dr. Epstein.i have been researching for what seems like eternity, but settling on a surgeon seems to be the hardest thing to do. everytime you think you are sure about a doc, you end up hearing something negative about him, and back to scratch. So tiresome. for now, i am surely focussed on Dr. E. no bad expeiences so far. and you two provide hope. i will be anxiously awaiting your updates. a few questions to both of you. Bear with me please.

did you see any of his patients in person?

if so, could you tell the guy had had HT?

what kind of density does Dr. E usually end up with?

how well does he close the donor area?

And, most important, what does his patients say about shock loss, which i think is the best judge of a surgeon's skill in placing the grafts.

guys, i would love to hear about your responses.

happy healing to you and happy holidays.

  11. Phillyhair,

first off, i am glad to hear about wonderful experience.

Gotta tell you, my hair is very much like yours right now, so i will be very much looking forward to your updates. Did you have any crown work? Also, one issue that has been talked about on these forums is how the hair looks after 3 weeks or so ( people working in offices and all). Again, i look forward to your updates.

very good luck to you, and happy healing.
