  1. Hello, Really nice to see an HT result after 10 years. May I know how recent did your temples started thin? If it happened quite suddenly, it might not be because of DHT. What I’m thinking is a synchronized telogen phase for your transplanted hair or telogen effluvium. Your non-transplanted hair was thick so if telogen effluvium happened, they might still look thick. But your transplanted area wasn’t really thick, so after TE the area looks thin. If it has been thinning for a while and your hair thinned slowly, then it’s another atory. And please take my opinion witha grain of salt, I’m not a doctor.
  2. Since it’s been a month, I think it will be fine. But let’s hear from the professionals.
  3. Honestly bro, from what I see you don’t need any work done. Your hair doesn’t look to be thinning to me. But if it is thinning, you should consider medication first. If you have work done on such a small area and the surrounding area thins out, IMO it might look weird. Also, other members might ask you to show pictures of your crown from years before just to compare if it’s thinning or not.
  4. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I’m personally not expecting great crown coverage. I have lived with an almost bald crown for years. That’s why as long as there’s a substantial difference, then I am happy. I just want to know if I will have considerable improvement in the upcoming months.
  5. You can purchase it from Freia Medical in Novena. They have various doses as well.
  6. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I did have around 1400 grafts transplanted to my crown. I’m almost 5.5 months post op and I’ve had a good growth in the last month. I just want to know if I still have lots of growth ahead or what I have now is quite close to the final result. I have attached the picture of my crown last month (4.5 months postop) vs now. I did have 1800 grafts transplanted to the front as well. And I think my front is growing much better. My family members think it is a huge improvement from pre op.
  7. Hello, I heard that the crown takes longer to grow. How many months does it take for the crown to have a decent growth? When can we expect to have like 50% of the growth? Thanks all.
  8. I think most members would say that you should wait a year taking the medication before considering a transplant. Just so you can see how your hair reacts. But I think while waiting you can have consultations with surgeons. There are many recommended surgeons here in the forum. You should have a consultation with a few of them.
  9. Honestly man, in my opinion the density looks low. But I could be wrong. Let’s hear what other members say.
  10. I really enjoyed my hair during 2-3 weeks post op. Hoping that it would come back to the thickness then soon. I’m just worried something happened to my grafts between then and now.
  11. Thans all for the reply. I’m around 3.5 months post op. I only see a little bit of thick stubbles. But I see some thin hairs growing. It sucks to be waiting. But I guess that’s the game.
  12. I read that initally transplanted hairs grow as thin fuzzy hairs. Is that true? Or do some of them grow as thick as normal from the start? Thanks all.
  13. That’s interesting. I read that transplanted grafts are put 3-3.5mm below the surface of the skin. So microneedling wouldn’t reach the follicles.
  14. Hello everyone, does anyone know when I can do microneedling after an HT? Is 2 months enough time? I usually do 1mm microneedling but stopped after my HT.
  15. I’m not sure how secured it is after 48 hours. But I think most doctors recommend being careful 48 hours after postop.
  16. Hello, I also went through the fear of losing my grafts. I rubbed my scalp (not too hard) on day 7 and found scabs with hairs attached to them. I didn’t bleed though. Was your scalp bleeding? Bleeding is concerning for me but on day 9 you should be fine. Referring to Dr. Bernstein’s research, your grafts shouldn’t be able to be dislodged on day 10, but if I read the graph correctly there were no grafts dislodged on day 9 either. And even though you lost like 1% of your grafts there shouldn’t be a substantial change in cosmetic appearance. I wish you the best.
  17. I was using Happy Head for a while. I actually started the doctor’s solution even before the brand Happy Head. I started using it since I think 2016 or 2017. In my experience, it did work fine. My family noticed that my hair got thicker. Now, I take oral minoxidil and finasteride since it’s much more convenient. There was one problem that I found when using the solution. It made my hair sticky which made my hair appeared thinner.
  18. Hello, thank you. I did 3,208 grafts at Freia Medical in Singapore. I did around 1,800 in the front and 1,400 in the crown. The experience has been great so far.
  19. Yes, at 2 weeks post-op I am comfortable with removing the crusts and scabs. But I actually removed them at 7 days postop. That’s what makes me worry.
  20. Thank you for the reply. Lesson learned. I won’t pick on them if I’ll get another HT. I think I’m fine with losing some grafts. But I’m just worried that I lose like 50 grafts without bleeding. Might sound crazy, but the chance of that happening is almost impossible right?
  21. Thanks for the reply. I feel fine now, I’m far more cautious than last week since the incident. I did it on the 7th day postop.
  22. Hello, I had a transplant around 2 weeks ago. But what makes me concerned is what happened during 7 days postop. My surgeon showed me how I could remove some of my scabs by rubbing my scalp gently. During that night. I rubbed my scalp with the tip of my finger in a circular motion. I didn’t use much force, but it was enough to remove around 80-90% of my scabs. What made me panicked was I saw some scabs attached to hair shafts falling. I didn’t bleed, but it made think I was going overboard. Now I’m extremely worried about my grafts. Did I possibly lose some grafts or am I just being paranoid? I’m also attaching a picture before I rubbed my scalp and a picture from the day after. Thanks guys really appreciate your feedbacks and replies.
  23. Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it. I am actually 9 days postop. But what I’m concerned about is when I was 7 days postop. On that day, my surgeon showed me how I could remove some of my scabs. He gently rubbed his finger on my scalp. During that night (still 7 days postop). I rubbed my scalp with the tip of my finger in a circular motion. I didn’t use much force, but it was enough to remove around 80-90% of my scabs. Eventually, I saw some scabs with hair shafts attached to it (at least that’s what I think I saw). I didn’t bleed or feel any pain. But I became scared that I may have overdone it. I was worried about the survivability of my grafts. And I’m still worried. I’m just hoping that the damage to my grafts was minimum. I can live with 5-10 dislodged grafts. But the thought of losing more than 50-100 grafts really makes me sad. I’m attaching a picture of a scab I found earlier today. I think it’s similar to what I saw during the 7 days postop. I’m also attaching a picture before I rubbed my scalp and a picture from earlier today.
  24. I heard that too. Dislodging a graft usually happens in the first 24-48 hour. But I wonder why we can’t shampoo like how we normally do for the first 1-2 weeks.
