Hi John... Curious to know if Dr P mentioned how many extra scalp & beard grafts you might have available for a future top procedure after this one if you so wanted in the future?

How’s it going Berba! Dr P and Dr Arika recon I have 2000 scalp grafts and 4000+ beard left to use for improving density in the years to come.

Hi John, is it possible wear the hair down and have a bit of a fringe? Most pics I see of people with transplants have their hair combed back but I like to have my hair a couple of inches long and have a fringe. Is it easy to style it like that or does the direction of the implantations mean that it is difficult to wear your hair in that way?

Yeah i sometimes wear the hair down with a fringe. You can wear how you like tbh. However, there is no doubting that a slick-back hairstyle will help maximise the illusion of density!

Grear result aside, I have to say you have a very handsome face mate, the hairline really frames it perfectly, this is seriously amazing for the number of scalp grafts used in total

Ah cheers mate, very kind of you! Im honestly over the moon with everything so far, and the hair keeps going from strength to strength!

This is great to know for everyone expressing any worry about less expensive packages at Eugenix. Even in your amazing procedure, Sethi isn’t doing everything. He’s laying all the groundwork. The techs at Eugenix are world class in my opinion. I am very satisfied by the job they did with me and how much love and care I received from them. They were truly focused on doing a great job and they did indeed.

Absolutely! Techs at Eugenix arent your average techs, their loyalty to Dr Pradreep & Dr Arika is high. These guys have a different work and skill rate which when you see them in action you quickly realise why Eugenix churns consistent quality results!

Hi John, I’m from Manchester too and looking to go to Eugenix to have a trabsplant with Dr Sethi. What was Dr Sethi’s involvement in your procedures? The package I have booked I have been told that Dr Sethi will be doing the design, planning and 100% of the slits, with his team doing the rest of the procedure. Is that similar to what you had?

    Looking good btw 👍

Cheers Jack! Yeah Dr Pradeep did the design and slits and the techs did the punching and implantation :)

Incredibly happy for you John and cannot wait to see how amazing your results will be looking in 12-18 months.

Just know they probably knocked it out the park and having gone through this process once before, i definitely think you'll find it easier to stay hopeful. Especially when the front hairline should also be maturing really well in the next 5+ months.

Thanks Kamran mate! 100%, I would say the week post-op after crown surgery is much tougher though, as there arent many sleeping positions you can sleep in without disturbing the grafts. However, once past 1 week post-op im sure it will be smooth sailing.

  7. Just to update, I finished my 2nd procedure at Eugenix on the 10th October. I had a total of 2795 grafts (1585 scalp+ 1200 beard) for my crown. Dr Pradeep was able to use some of the grafts to improve the parting corridors and the retrograde area just behind the temples, in addition to the crown. This brings my total graft count to 8,148. Really happy with all the work and how everything went well with the procedure. All the clinic staff where amazing as usual, and again I blown away with work rate and skill of the Eugenix Techs. Hoping my recovery is as seamless as the first sitting.

Great stuff, growth is looking very good, and very jealous of your Delhi trip! How many grafts are you having done for the crown area? I only ask because that's exactly what I want (need) to do, a little 'top up' so-to-speak!! Wishing you a safe journey and a successful procedure!!

Thanks Alejandro! Plan is for around 2500 grafts for the crown!

Wow John. What a result. I still remember talking to you on the phone just a few weeks after you got it done

This result is something people would get after 14 months going from bald skin to thick hair

I don't need to wish you luck for the second procedure, I'm sure it will be another great outcome. You still have enough donor area to spare and plenty of beard under the chin!

Looking forward to hear from you again once you get it done mate. Have a nice and safe trip in Delhi mate 😊

Thanks Ryan man! 100% we need a catch up soon! Hope your growing well man!

  10. Hey man!

Thanks for the update. Sad to read you are not on track with your progress. I just had a look at your pics, it does appear that all the implanted grafts have grown, and the temples are looking good. I know you state 7 months, but I think this is an error, as you where the week after me for the surgery when we met, so I put that at roughly 6 month post-op now. This therefore still gives a lot of time for that hair to mature. So I would hold off any SMP until at least 12 months.

You take some photos in some really harsh lighting and also when wet.  Unfortunately with a HT, it is only an illusion of density, so will struggle passing even when fully matured.

Agree the donor, does look patchy and smp could well be a solution here, however maybe hold off a few months yet. Really hope this is not DUPA. If I remember correctly you said you only took 0.25mg daily finasteride (I remember thinking to myself at the time it is a very low doesage). Perhaps you could try and do 1mg ED or EOD. Or if your not comfortable implement  topical finasteride into regime to give your hair the best chance.

Your results are amazing. I'm NW7 and about to give up on any hope but after seeing you it's given me some hope.

Can I ask what the texture feels like with you having beard donor?

Also has your beard healed good and can you notice much difference in density?

Nice! don't give up hope. times are a lot different now and with beard hair NW7 can get reasonable coverage back.

Can't tell the beard hair in the scalp to be honest, it has all been blended in so intelligently. Also, no evidence in the beard that I had 1300 grafts taken, just looks and feels the same pre-transplant. 2/3 days post-transplant my beard had completely healed and there remained no signs grafts were taken.

  12. 6 Month Update

All going from strength to strength. I have included some photos of the back of the head at the request of a couple of people, in my opinion the donor is looking untouched saying I had 4000 grafts taken, i'd even go as far to say to it looks better than the pre-transplant situation. . Crown sitting is in four weeks, so my next update will include this. I have also spoken to Dr Sethi about putting grafts above the left side lateral hump to improve the density and transition between the transplanted zone.

  13. If your Norwood 7 (coming from a NW 7) I would always factor in you are going to need to make use of beard hair, so my 10 cents worth is  just to make sure you factor into your research docs are have a good portfolio of using body hair on the scalp! When you say Norwood 7 docs first ones that spring to mind are Bisanga, Eugenix, Pitella. For me it was a tough call between Dr Bisanga and Dr Sethi. However, when it came down to it Sethi/Eugenix had more documented experiences with Grade 7's and use of beard. Good luck with your journey, and I will be looking out closely for your journey thread!

The results are looking great Melvin. To think you still have some months of maturity to go, it's really great to see it looking on track.

Definitely can see this as a good sign for John as he mentioned above to really put the cherry on top of his thus far phenomenal result.

Haha Cheers Kamran! If Melvin's crown is to go by, I may (just may) be a two and done!
