To be fair, real breakthroughs with stem-cells for curing things like Parkinson's only appeared a few years ago, though people have apparently been saying "There's a cure for this and that right around the corner." for years... I think someone here said they heard that there was a cure for baldness coming soon in the 70's? Unless they were talking about Rogaine, they were way off... This hair cloning/new follicle formation science is the first we're actually seeing of "progress" for a cure, and there are actually a few pictures demonstrating early results... which is plenty of tiny hairs from a bald/near bald scalp. Saying it'll be out in a few years - and having that be true, would pretty much be a blessing for most people in the world, but realistically, I think they're on the right track with this, and we can see something within a decade or two...
