interestingly, even 81 grafts seems a lot less than your native density. Which is weird, as native density is usually 80-100 grafts. Unless you just have extremely high native density? or perhaps its just becuase the hairs look shorter in this photo or something. your actual result looks incredible, congrats man.

Well, the difference between 80 and 100 is a big difference.

Thank you! Your kind words mean a lot.

Honestly you're an inspiration from this forum. I've gone through both of your HT threads, and you experienced the ideal hair transplant journey, rivaled only by @TorontoMan. It's awesome that you're still around. Truly, legend.

Always lurking haha.  Don't have much to report on my own case as it's pretty much done.  But enjoy seeing everyone else's progress, and giving my own take on things when something interesting pops up.

Here you go, count them. Red area is exactly 1 sq cm of my scalp, that was completely bald before my transplant, i.e., no native hairs there. 85 grafts. My entire transplant is this dense.

Photo is from 8 days post op when all scabs were off. As you can see, no visible 'rows'.

This is a great transplant in terms of density.  But going along with the topic, you have no rows (which at least aesthetically speaking, is objectively superior).

edit: although to be fair, hard to see if there are rows without a zoomed out photo of a bigger area.

Thanks so much for responding. Did you start taking the medication on the day of the surgery?

Also if you can look up the exact dosage that would be amazing. I think it would be great to have that kind of information "eternalized" on this forum for perfectionist folks like us who like to give themselves any possible edge.

Yeah, same day, after operation.  I'm pretty sure I'm correct on those dosages.

What an incredibly unique case, and an extremely aesthetically pleasing, dense NW1 hairline. If donor supply wasn't finite, I think many people would aim to get results like you. Perhaps if future verteporfin trials prove to be effective in regenerating donor hair, results like this may become more achievable for more people.

@Fue3361 I'm very curious to hear the full protocol, including dosages and times taken per day. I'm surprised that you were on both Cialis and Viagra. Their mechanism of action is pretty much the same, and Viagra lasts much shorter. So I'm wondering why the doctor didn't go with Cialis alone.

Yeah.  My results are even better now that we're almost 2 years in.  It's looking great.

As for protocol, was just one pill a day, for 3 months.  The pill, if I'm not mistaking had 2.5mg of Cialis, 2.5mg of Viagra, and it also had 5mg of minoxidil + arginine.  If you really want to know, I can look for what the Arginine dosage was, although I think it was 5mg.

Right, but he had FUT. So there would be no pits anywhere, just the long strip scar. Which I actually think looks better / cooler than a bunch of weird white spots tbh.

Right, but doesn't your donor continue to thin? What happens to those that get Fin side effects 5 years later - their already thin transplanted hair will thin out as they get into their 40's, 50's, 60's etc. I guess I am not convinced a transplant is a life long solution (at least for me), and that is ok. I only want hair to help find a wife - then it can go :)

I hadn't thought of this. I would need to travel a long ways for my hair transplant, so need to think about how I could do this. Thank you for your pictures and recommendations!

    I said in recipient region.

It's because he lost so much hair that he has to.

He's stated before that he regrets getting a hair transplant.  Mind you, he got FUT and has a nasty looking strip scar on the back of his head, so this is likely the main reason why he regrets it.

It was an example of someone who shaves head and has no apparent issues in recipient area post transplant.  No scars/pits etc

This is helpful to know. Are there any surgeons  youve  heard of that are especially good with the temples?

My short list right now is Keser, HLC, and Bisanga but I will have to see how they do with  temples.

I might be biased, but I think my surgeon is the best when it comes to temples, he does an amazing job with them.  But his style is very specific (he tends to do them more horizontal/boxed in usually.  Though I've seen variation depending on facial structure.  I had him do mine and they turned out amazing.

  9. Since you want it rounded the way you have it, and lowered even more, you need to be careful that you go to someone who knows how to work with the temporal region.  The angling and direction of the grafts drastically changes in that area, and if done badly, you'll be looking at a nightmare of a job to fix.

Personally, I like Thiago Bianco in Brazil when it comes to Temples.  I had mine with him.  But make sure, whoever you pick, you find some before/after of their work that includes temples.  Some clinics do really good work on hairlines, and absolutely have no concept of how to rebuild the sides.
