  1. Hi sean, Appreciate the response. Would you please explain what you mean by, "then it was due to the high density in a smaller zone that caused more issues?" I dont know what you mean by this. Please explain. So tbh I'm very scared as anyone else should be about a ht. According to you, there are many many many people who have gone back to get their original ht fixed.. is this correct? If thats so, are you saying a ht isnt really worth the risk?
  2. If you dont know what "session" means then you need to do more research on hair restoration.
  3. Huh?? What are you talking about. Hi sean. So a safe session of 2000 grafts should be the limit? A doctor told me he thinks I'd need 3000 grafts. Do you think he'll do 2 sessions of 1500 grafts instead of one session of 3000 just to be safe?
  4. But is it safe? According to users here 3500 is the limit to whats considered risky. 3000 is close to 3500. What do you think?
  5. Thanks for the replies. Ok a doctor said I'd need 3000 grafts. Does that mean he'll do all 3000 in 1 session? Or will I have this done over a few sessions? If so how many days will it take between sessions?
  6. Was wondering whats the ballpark limit on how many grafts a doctor can transplant before problems can ensue in the scalp. There have been mega sessions where patients are subjected to huge amount of grafts in 1 procedure which sounds dangerous and unhealthy. Let me know.
  7. So that effect falls in line with those forces mentioned above. It would be interesting to find someone with more than 1 different hair type/shape. I'm sure he exists somewhere on this planet.
  8. Makes no sense since the other person was insulting and trolling. But whatever. Just happy OP decided to put this off until hes ready.
  9. Youre rude to the sensitivities of the OP. Your language is obnoxious and unnecessary. Youve been reported and youre now ignored. Btw the OP already decided not to go for a transplant. You lose
  10. Understood. I feel your pain brother. I'm here to help if you need it. Wise choice
  11. Wise decision soloo. You looked at this intellectually after giving it much thought which is smart. Personally I dont think the fear of corona changed your mind as much as other factors involved but it probably added a bit of weight to your final decision. Just remember that a transplant is a huge undertaking regardless of costs which has to be heavily considered as a last resort no matter whats at stake given other known, potential risk factors such as trauma to scalp, necrosis, infection, poor donor extraction, techs having bad day, bad quality doctor, DNA, shock loss and stunted growth. Just to give us a solid picture of whats going on at least consider uploading a few pics if you feel comfortable in order for us to give the best direction possible from our viewpoints based on our experiences. Always go with your gut as you've demonstrated. Later on when youre ready to give this another shot you can do that. Good luck.
  12. Once again, vaccines are still not 100% effective as high on the scale of effectiveness as pharmas claim they are. My best advice is to wait it out either just enough time has passed or until the virus is cleared from the environment. As mentioned previously in one of my comments, after my friend received the pfizer vaccine he developed strong symptoms from the coronavirus which according to him was anything but pleasant as he complained of inability to fall asleep since he had suffered from uncontrollable shortness of breath rendering him insomniac apart from other intolerable symptoms. It almost killed him to the point that he has to stay at the hospital for a month. Would you seriously risk your health over some hair? Is risking to acquire one of the most deadliest diseases that you can pass on to your loved ones and friends worth your life and theirs worth it over a handful of follicles? You stated that you "doubt there's much more you can do to be safe without severely compromising your quality of life." I already explained that you can by staying put until this rolls over. The op can do whatever he pleases and I wish him the very best. But I'm looking out for him and people around him so he can be spared of the devastating effects I've first hand seen myself what this deadly virus does to people. Its no joke, especially when traveling to foreign lands if thats your destination for a transplant.
  13. Youre missing the point which is its to stay as safe as possible without risking your health by waiting until the virus rolls over. Then after the smoke clears do whatever your heart desires.
  14. From what I've gathered since my last reply transplanted hair normally doesnt behave that way unless certain forces inhibit their usual shape like one of the forces you raised in your previous comment. In all my years on earth I've yet to come across someone with more than 1 hair shape. Your case with the unusual wavy transplanted hair falls in line with the phenomenon you had mentioned.
  15. I agree with your 1st point but got to disagree with the 2nd. Appreciate the reply
  16. Why does transplanted hair get wirey? Thats very weird
  17. Well based on what Shapiro said the transplanted hairs do thin but not by a lot like those natively on top. Thats the gist of what he explained in the interview. He mentioned patients he's worked on from 20 years ago, one of them who received 1500 grafts and his transplanted hair still looks good. Similarly, in one video doctor Diep worked on an elderly patient who kinda looks like Elvis whose transplant looks very good for someone in their 70s. No evidence of thinning. All in all we'll do fine in the future.
  18. This is true also. BDK081522 I'm still waiting for your source bud.
  19. Unfortunately even the most experienced doctors cant avoid damaging adjacent follicles given the most advanced tools current tech offers including microscopes and cutting devices. Follicles are still so damn close to one another that avoiding cutting satellite follicles is a pipe dream. Doctors have stated that fut offers better survival. So your implied view of fue being a perfect procedure doesnt hold up. Still waiting on a source.
