  1. Thanks. Did you get the ice packs from the grocery store or did the hotel had supply of ice? I do have a personal ice pack bag hence asking.
  2. Drs Helpdesk email says ask for discount at comfort suites. No discount code mentioned. Hotels.com and such listing it as pricy for my dates. no mention of discount for Hilton.
  3. Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. I’ve got mine scheduled in sept and comfort suites is showing more expensive for my dates. Thinking getting a better hotel that’s cheaper on those dates and stay a mile away and take Uber instead.
  4. Is it easy to walk after surgery to comfort suites even with its close proximity? Or an Uber is a better option nonetheless?
  5. Thanks bro! btw any issues with scalp tightness? I read online that FUT may cause scalp tightness in some cases. How’s that feeling when you turn your head side to side or when you drive and check the blind spot?
  6. Hey@RecessionProof! What clipper size do you have over the scar area now? Can you do a size 3 or 2 in the scar area now?
  7. @Egott92 Awesome progress bro! Super happy for you I reached out to Dr Konior and he said that I need to be on oral finasteride in order to avoid further hair loss even after surgery as I have diffused pattern hair loss. I am a bit reluctant to go that path but is topical finasteride/duasteride giving you the same benefits you think? How did Dr Konior compare oral vs topical options?
  8. Hello all, I reached out to Dr Konior and H&W. Both said that I have diffused pattern hair loss and even after the surgery I would have to be on finasteride 1mg as further hair loss will happen most likely. Talking to my primary care doc, she said it does have long term side-effects like lower sperm count and in some cases, risk of prostrate cancer. I am on the fence on doing finasteride given these risks. What are your thoughts? Would biotin, minoxidil not suffice? Are finasteride risks worth it? I know that some of you are not on finasteride but rather minoxidil and Nizoral shampoo. Did you have diffused pattern hair loss?
  9. @Melvin-Moderator Howdy! Are there any negative posts for either Dr Konior or Dr Hasson on this forum in its entire history? If so, please point me to them. Is Dr Hasson the better choice vs Dr Wang if going with H&W?
  10. Thanks@FuriousGeorge! I truly appreciate your detailed explanation. How bad are the wait times to schedule with H&W?
  11. Nice! Looking forward to see your update
  12. No idea. Logically thinking, it's not as invasive so I would think not. Even if it does, it would be more scattered so less noticeable even if the spots would actually have tissue loss. But, again something to ask the doctor I would say.
  13. @SnowboardHey! Thanks for the recommendation of Dr Konior. After your mention I have been researching about him and noticing lots of positive feedback. Did you finally get your procedure done with Dr Konior? Hello Everyone, In addition, I keep hearing about Hasson & Wong on this forum. Price is not a concern for me as I want the best result possible (its an investment for myself) but location wise I would prefer US & Canada due to international travel restrictions. I have gotten the Pfizer vaccine too. Based on price not being an issue, what would be the top 5 doc list for FUT overall (minimal scarring, best density results) according to you?
  14. @FuriousGeorgeThis must be really frustrating for you! I second that. I am new here and doing my research. What made you pick H&W over Dr Konior?
  15. @Egott92Thanks for sharing your journey! Progress looking good Do you feel any numbness around the scar area? In reading online it was said that one of the possible side effects of having FUT is that the scar (donor) region might have some permanent tissue damage and loss of sensitivity. Wanted to double check this.
  16. @JohnAC71 @Melvin-Moderator Do you guys take any regular hair loss meds (like finasteride) now that ya'll have had your HTs?
  17. @Melvin-Moderator I saw your posts about your hair loss journey and the imp info you provided about HT expectations. Thanks so much for that man! I definitely considered Dr Cooley as he is way nearer to me than others but was not too convinced by the results on his website. I'll search for him at this site to double check. What is your take on Dr Cooley vs Dr Bloxham?
  18. Good luck @JohnAC71! I am 35 and I am not on any meds like Finasteride etc. I did that briefly (~6 months) some 8 years ago when i first noticed thinning of hair but went off it as I would rather not interfere with natural hormones.
  19. Ah, bummer man, yeah India is gone insane with corona right now! Was ok for a long while though. Which doctor at Eugenix were you looking at? Are they even better than Dr Bloxham? Will this be your first HT?
  20. Thanks @johnac71 I am definitely open to travel within the US but not sure about international travel in these corona times. Were you referring to within US or international?
  21. Hello all, I am new to this forum and looking for recommendations for both FUT and FUE surgeons in the US. I am on the east coast in North Carolina. I have consulted with Marc Dauer, M.D and Dr Baubac (alvi armani) so far. Both do FUE and are in Los Angeles. I was not too impressed with the results of Dr Marc Dauer, M.D and Dr Baubac's reviews are already bad on this website so I will pass on that. Dr Blake Bloxham has some solid reviews on here for FUT but was curious if you guys had other suggestions as well. I am attaching front and back view of my head. Most hair loss is in the upper frontal region. Back side (donor) has decent hair density still. Based on the hair loss amount though I am leaning towards a FUT rather than FUE so I can avoid over harvesting. What do you guys think? Cheers!
