That’s a fantastic result. I went to see Dr Arshad yesterday for my 13 month review. He’s arranging a top up for the front, as it’s not as dense as it could be. Your result fills me with confidence.

It’s great that Dr Arshad is going to sort it for you so that you get the result you are 100% happy with. You can not fault the clinic for there support and care for their patients. Another reason I’m glad I went to the Hair Dr for my HT.
Does your top up look a lot better than your initial HT mate?

@Marko7t4Thanks for the update. Dr Arshad showing some good after care/support. Always nice to see a Dr stand behind the patients result. I have tried to remain neutral in any of my feedback, just pointing out that it’s not the density I thought it should be. I have no doubt the top up will definitely get you closer to where you want. One side was weaker than the other, I’m sure he will even it out.
I appreciate it mate. No point saying everything looks great if it’s not.

Just had my post 12 month check up with Dr A. He agreed that the density at the front isn’t what is expected, and asked me to book in for a top up at the front. He thinks around 500/600 grafts should be enough to give me decent density, with 2s and 3s packed in behind the hairline. He did comment on my hair’s characteristics, as it sort of grows out at the sides, rather than down (my former hairdresser said it was a bit like Chinese hair apparently). He thinks this could have something to do with the low density 🤷♂️ Either way, at least I know it’s going to be dealt with, and Dr A’s empathy towards his patients’ needs are only to be commended.

Dr Sethi is a miracle worker. Such a good result 👏

If you can save up to £4500, Dr Arshad at TheHairDr clinic in Leeds is £3 per graft. I know it’s more than your current budget, but you’d save on air fares, hotels, etc.

Guessing you used to dye your hair?

Hope it goes well for you. You look to be healing well, and hopefully your result will be a good one.

I don’t miss tactical combing, and I’m enjoying being able to slide sunglasses up into my hairline to hold my hair back, which I wouldn’t have done before my HT due to depletion at the front.

Dr Arshad at The Hair Dr clinic sells a fin/min spray which can also be used to style your hair. Might be worth looking into.

Who said I get paid a salary from doctors?! I don’t own this forum. I am employed by the owner who pays me a salary to moderate the forum and for my content. How much I earn has ZERO to do with transparency, as countless have already commented. There’s NO surgeon that pays me directly. Basically, how much I earn doing this job is NONE of your business, end of story.
I didn’t realise you didn’t own the forum Melvin. You clearly work very hard for the page. Whoever does own it is very lucky to have you and your input/experience/knowledge on hand.

Looking really good now mate.

Did Dr Arshad say that most grafts went into your crown area mate? That looks really good. The front isn’t as dense as you would probably expect, so maybe a top up in that region could be an option. I had mine done by Dr Arshad on 2nd June 2021, so I’m just over 13 months. My left side especially isn’t as dense as expected. Here’s my pre and current pics to give you an idea. (I don’t wear a hair band, I stole it off my daughter for the picture 😂)

I’d say it looks like a good result based on the amount of grafts/amount of hair loss originally. You’ll need a second HT to get more density, but you should be pleased with the outcome after only 1 HT.

Thanks everyone. I’ll leave it as it is then. I went to the doctors yesterday after being bitten by an insect. He asked if I was taking any other medication before he prescribed. I said fin/min daily following my HT. He said he wouldn’t have even known I’d had one if I hadn’t told him. Great result 😂

Has anyone had their head shaved to a number 1 or 2 once their HT has matured past 12 months? I’m interested to try it but don’t want it to look strange in case it’s obvious from the hair pattern that I’ve had a HT. Any photos would be helpful.

Looks really good. Congratulations 👏

I’ve just had my 13 month review and I’m booking in for a top up mate. It’s disappointing but at least the clinic are there to look after you.
