  1. I hardly advice you to start taking medication for hair loss. Even though you get a hair transplant (a lot of doctors won't accept if you don't take medication) you'll keep losing your natural hair (not the implanted). At least start with minoxidil if you are afraid of finasteride.
  2. He is the best in my opinion(based on results). The fact that he can get you low, good looking, dense hairline with a smaller no. of grafts than others blows my mind, but his waiting list is huge. You'd have to wait 2-3 years until the operation. If you can wait for so long I would encourage you to go with him. Otherwise, I would choose De Freitas, Bisanga or Mwamba.
  3. Considering this, I think here is just a matter of who's results were more impressive to you. Who does the more suitable/aesthetic hairlines in your opinion, maybe not using so much of your donor, who has better post-op assistance, etc. The hairlines that De Freitas does look very good to me (so I chose to book with him) but also price and logistic were in his favor.
  4. Reviews on sites like trustpilot can be bought very easily (they are very cheap too). Also I know there is a common practice for hair mills to ask the few patients they put the work on to write reviews (even just after the operation when you can't see the results). The only reviews I'd trust are on forums like this where people constantly update their evolution and they put multiple photos (so you can see clearly that the transformation is not fake)
  5. Good news never come alone! I hope we'll hear even better news after you're back from India!
  6. Thank you for sharing your opinions @Charlii and @MachoVato. I followed your journeys with HLC very closely and I was very curious if you would pick De Freitas over them. I still believe they are great, just that De Freitas's hairlines look better to me.
  7. Don't panic. Even though this hair transplant won't be a success you aren't in a bad spot. Your hair loss is not that advanced and probably you still have enough grafts to work with. Don't take any rushed decisions, if you'll pick your next surgeon carefully he'll probably make the things right.
  8. I understand your fear regarding finasteride, I've been there too, but i'm on it for 6 months and I can't see any side effects. I'd say to give it a try, and if you experience any sides just drop it and they will disappear. Regarding the surgeons I can give you my opinion but is based only on the results I've seen on this forum. Between the 3 I would pick Eugenix because I saw a lot of amazing results from them on high norwoods. Also, I've seen that Melvin picked them for his next surgery so if a man with his knowledge picked them, you can do no wrong by choosing them.
  9. Hello guys. First of all I’d like to thank you for stopping by and I encourage you to share your opinion, they are all welcomed. About me: 25yo, NW3 (pictures attached), started to notice hair loss since I was 16-17. Medication: Minoxidil 5%, hair vitamins and Nizoral(or other keto shampoos) since I was 19. This helped me a lot to retain my hair, I didn’t notice much change in the hairline since I started with them, just some miniaturization. Finasteride 1-1.25mg/day since May 2021. Below I summarized my current choices, but I’m also open to consider another surgeons. Are there any other doctors would you consider ? Which one of those I mentioned would you pick and why ? Is there a superior technique between DHI and Stick&Place ? I know what S&P means but I'm not familiar with the DHI process. What's the difference between them ? Also, does anyone know how many patients does De Freitas operate per day ? The lady from HR told me this is confidential and she can’t tell me, but for me it is an important aspect.
  10. If I were you I would start using minoxidil 5% and/or taking finasteride(1mg/day) right now and look to book the operation with Bicer/Demirsoy/Yaman in the spring next year, just to give meds some time to do the work.
  11. Hi @EvansLawrence. Thanks for sharing your journey. Im also planning to have a transplant with HLC in the following months(since i can't book with Couto for at least 2-3 years 😔). I just wanted to know how do you feel about their behaviour post-surgery. Are you getting checked, are your questions answered ?
  12. I tried to book a session with mr. Couto this week but it looks like he is fully scheduled for a pretty long time. This is the response i received from them: Thank you very much for your interest in our services. The best practice for a diagnosis and clarifying all your doubts is is to schedule an appointment with our doctor in which you will also receive a personalized budget. Unfortunately, due to this whole COVID situation, we are long overdue and have decided to close all kinds of inquiries until we can catch up. Sorry for the inconvenience.
