  1. Okay, thanks man - I get the point. I just saw a place called Freshmans in the UK. They do Topical Fin and Min, what do you think? Its 0.05% Topical fin, but they are saying to apply it twice a day, is it okay to use it once a day and get away with it?
  2. Hey there, Was just wondering where can you get Topical Fin that is reliable, reputable and safe in the UK? I hear Manual.co keep coming up, but not sure if that is the right place due to somewhat mixed reviews? Also, how do the % to MG's work, I would ideally want to start with 0.50 mg to 1mg max. If anyone has any good info on Topical Fin vs Oral, that I can read or any facts to share, I would highly appreciate it. EDIT: I did buy Essengen-F from MinxodilMax, however, I see it is 2%, how do I apply 1mg of this as there is instructions. This is all so confusing.
  3. Hey, I got an email from the clinic, not going to lie, I just feel a bit annoyed. I was hoping to have a plan in place ,or some sort of consolation. I requested that I want to think about all of this without Fin, but I basically just got told I am not eligible for a transplant, and to get on Fin... after in the notes they messaged me to provide, I said how terrified I was of it and wanted a plan with transplants and options to discuss. I will show the reply below, but I guess, is there some good info here for Topical Fin? Is it as effective, and has anyone heard of Manual.Co in the UK as it's the only place I can see for Topical Fin/Min? The reply: Hi X, Thank you for providing your photographs and relative information. I have discussed your case with Dr Bisanga who has provided his recommendations. Dr Bisanga has evaluated the pattern of your hair loss and your candidacy for an FUE procedure based on all of the provided information. Dr Bisanga has determined that based on all details, that he would not recommend proceeding with hair restoration surgery. As you have explained the amount of loss over the last 3-4 months has been "rapid", your hair loss is therefore clearly progressing at this stage and as you do not use and are not able to commit to hair preventative medication over the long term, your hair loss is not stable and therefore candidacy is currently not feasible nor ethical. Dr. Bisanga explained that it would appear as though you are experiencing a diffuse and progressive pattern of loss with miniaturisation (decline in quality and strength in the cycle of loss) visible and some thinner areas of donor above your ears. Proceeding with surgery at this time would present increased risk of potential shock loss of native hair due to the "trauma" of surgery that may not be strong enough to return post surgery if the cycle of miniaturisation has evolved and if miniaturisation is present in your donor area, this could impact yield and growth and also longevity of results of any procedure. Implications of miniaturisation in the donor - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95dQGwpM3Ck&list=PLa9i-qXi8d3ShCBs17ZApA5duaGon5uvZ&index=19&t=4s ---- For any individual that has experienced hair loss, you are genetically pre-disposed to lose further hair. We need to mitigate this as much as possible to preserve the best scenario long term for you. Dr. Bisanga explained the need to consider a regimen of hair loss preventative medication. Without medication your loss will progress. ---- At BHR we always recommend patients to visit Dr. Bisanga for an in-person consultation if possible. This would allow Dr. Bisanga to more accurately understand the extent of your hair loss, measure your donor density, any levels of miniaturisation and rule out any scalp concerns. Dr. Bisanga is extremely ethical and any decision regarding surgery is always made in the best interests of the patient. —— Many thanks X Kind regards
  4. Okay, thanks man. I think I will wait for Dr. Bisanga's reply. Just as a mod, Melvin, what are your thoughts on Bisanga, is he one of the safer options out there for me to go about this? Any negative things or things to be wary of?
  5. I got through to a rep, then ian reached out to me via email, and now Dr. Bisanga apparently might reply by email to me, but i have to pay 50 euros to have a call with him?
  6. Thanks man, messaged you privately. Also - the thing that scares me with fin is that people report sides literally after 2-3 years of taking it, one guy couldn't sleep and knows its the pill as he had never any sleeping problems, was averaging 5 hours of sleep a week.
  7. This is actually so frustrating, haha, no joke, I just filled that all in, attached all my pictures, wrote a little story, pressed submit - and it just says 'initialising', and then freezes. Seriously, getting beyond frustrated trying to contact Bisanga, is there an actual way to do this cuz I really would like to.
  8. Hey man, I was going to dm you, but might as well message here. Can you please help me come up with a list of the best HT clinics or people in Europe/England, so I can do this properly. So far I contacted Kensington Clinic and Harley Street. Someone else posted: Dr Arshad, Dr Reddy, Dr Ball and Dr Farjo. Bisanga - almost impossible to contact, even sent him a LinkedIn message to no reply. How do I contact him? Mate - I am literally asking you for help, I will do what needs to be done but I Need help here, I am working a very busy job, depressed not living my job, and I just feel depressed now. Genuinely.
  9. Hi man, thanks for the message, may I ask why those, and also, Dr. Bisanga is impossible to contact, I have tried through his website and everything to no avail, any advice on this? Have you heard of Harley Street?
  10. Hey man, 29, and I definitely am not a NW5 (just googled it), but yeah, its somewhat bad. Feeling pretty depressed by this all, haven't really left my house, terrified of fin and not sure what to do. How do I approach this, for real?
  11. Hey, thanks for your message, I could really use some positive feedback, please. I actually think I have fallen into some depression here, no joke. I have had multiple chats with hair transplant clinics and I just feel like I am not under the best hands. I am 29 years old, almost 30. Please - if you can help me with this, I would gratefully appreciate this, as I do not know what exactly to do to be honest right now. I am in London, do you recommend any clinics or people here, as I contacted Harley Street, but saw negative reviews?
  12. Hey man, I was cooking when I read this and got quite down, mainly because I feel like I had a plan (getting a hair transplant), and maybe one again 5 years after that. I didn't think I would be destined to a 5 or 6 tbh. I am just so terrified of Fin, I swear to god, I spent too much time on Reddit and Tressless, even got added to a post-finasteride group, im freaking terrified of it. Is there anyway I can go about this in your opinion without meds. I play sports at a high level, wouldn't fin affect me massively. Also suffer with anxiety and other problems which I feel Fin will bring out. I just am not sure if I am ready for that, and that it could cause more problems. Also, why do you think I am getting Retrograde, how are you able to tell that from just my pictures?
  13. Crikey. I dont even know which pictures of his are after the opp, is it the first ones or later ones. My mum's dad had very bad balding, but my dad right now has some good hair (60 years old and I would be happy with his hair), however, I presume it's all from the mums side right? This is my current state:
  14. Hi there, I am close to booking a hair transplant and do not want to go down the path of taking Fin or Min. Has anyone here gone this route and I was wondering if you documented your journey, or have pictures of the progress? Please do share as much as possible and any advice is appreciated. Just out of curiosity, what went wrong in this guys transplant as this kind of scares me:

  16. Hey man, appreciate the thoughts, i actually am getting therpay right now for it. Had my first session yesterday.... I have apparently she said 'general anxiety disorder'... Still not sure if after that, I would still take Fin, I dunno man, i really dont know, I wish there were more concrete studies on it.
  17. I really really want/wanted to take Fin, I still have it sitting next to me, just not sure if I can even risk it man. Maybe I over think things, yes, but i ve seen enough people saying they have side effects thouhg to know they must be real
  18. Thanks man, and its posts EXACTLY like this which help me, or may hinder me I do not know, but I have read now posts like this in the 50-100's. Do you not feel the same since? There are too many posts of these to ignore? One thing I do want to know is, getting a HT without Fin before or Prior, is it even worth it? I hear hairs on different parts of the body can stay on the head, but I have read differently here. Basically, is it worth getting a HT without Fin or Min?
  19. I'll be completely honest, I actually laughed out loud. Seriously. All of the good posts, I put into a word doc, and then I put them into different categories, its actually quite impressive, so I can make a decision and go about it. I dont have 'serious issues', appreciate you trying to diagnose me. I'm extremely healthy, I live a good life, the only thing I do wrong is probably drink too much soda, and thats it, but I work out, I run, play high level sports, and have an extremely good job, so its funny when I see you say that. All my posts, and questions, are fair. I am reading tons of stuff, and people telling me to stay away from the drug and how its the worst thing they ever did, to others saying its okay but they have mild side effects, and others saying they have none. Pretty understandable how im bloody confused, then you have people like @ciaus. Happy Fin is working for you mate and you cant empathise with me and the thousands of other people who don't just want to pop a pill and ignore the side effects... Then get outted on a forum with the moderator (Great support by the way), when this is actually playing on mind due to the conflicting opinion, oh, and there is. Melvin, even you in the comments on the side effects of fin poll were astonished, but cool, lets ignore the guy who is asking relevant questions and doing tons of research, because I am, and ive spoken to all sorts of people who have been affected by it, and trust me, even then I still want to take it for the sake of my hair. I actually fully understand it now, when people with PSF say, you get bashed for 'fear mongering' or 'downvoted', i havent even taken it, and i feel like youre having a go at me for asking fair questions. Pathetic.
