  1. Hi Pre surgery:- Finally after a month delay (acidity problems ..stress lead to acidity let to stress.. vicious cycle) I got my hair transplant done at Eugenix lead by Dr Priyadarshini and the amazing Mumbai team on 24 March 2021 The hairline was designed conservatively with both Doc and i agreeing to make it V shaped. My temples even though had receeded still had some hair so they were also filled. Surgery experience :- Final grafts :-2612 Surgery started at 1030 am and went on to 10 pm.. Dr Priyadarshini did all the initial slits for the implantation as is the practice at Eugenix and was present during all crucial extraction/implantation. As I had a lot of superficial nerves , the bleeding was a bit much which slowed the process quite a lot. But Dr Priyadarshini and the team were very through , precise and worked very hard. I have to mention the awesome supporting actors Ranjan, Ashish , Aadarsh , Rakshya and Dipun and also to Vrushali and Aparna. I can never thank them enough. They kept the pain at minimum and always asked if I was comfortable or in pain. The back massages between breaks were highly appreciated.. They worked tirelessly and were very amiable and polite. I was lucky to get such a great Doctor and superb team of technicians. Also Imran who was there from the beginning to clear whatever doubts i had at every step. Dr Priyadarshini is really polite to talk to and her experience and expertise really showed. She is a wonderful human being and an amazing doctor. I felt like I was around family. Choosing her was the best decision i ever made.. Post surgery:- I was given a kit with saline spray and a chart for precautions/medications Dr. is just a whatsapp away for any queries This forum and my research has equipped me with the knowledge of what to expect on the first 7 days and beyond.. Day 0-7 Sleeping on the back was a major issue. Didnt sleep for more than 2 hours at a time in all 7 days Pro tip :- Tied my wrists to my ankles so that i don't scratch my grafts in sleep ( read somewhere on this forum ) Slight itching sensations but was advised more frequent saline sprays and one SOS medicine. Tomorrow 31 March 2021 is my first head wash. Will post some pics . Now that the hard part is over .. focusing on recovery and results in the coming days and months. Ugly duckling phase and slow results..here i come Attaching pictures and will update the journey as time progresses.. Need your valuable feedback and best wishes for my journey..
  2. Hi Unfortunately I had to postpone the surgery due to medical emergency. I had severe acidity and i am on medication for a month. Surgery involves antibiotics which my Doctor recommended to delay as for now. Looking for a more convenient date now (I HATE the waiting part) Will post my experience and pics for sure..
  3. Thanks brother Hope to start the new decade with positivity..
  4. Congratulations on the excellent choice of @Eugenix Hair Science..my procedure is set for feb 25.. Donor has healed pretty well.. The hairline looks clean and perfect.. You are going to have amazing results..
  5. Thank you @Abhinay Singh Yes Finastiride is my daily ritual now.. I was really worried and nervous about this.. Sometimes all you need is positivity and support..
  6. Thank you so much for the positivity @SLA Really going into this with a positive attitude..
  7. Had a detailed discussion with Dr Priyadarshini yesterday She cleared most of my doubts and concerns 1) Donor area shock loss concerns ~ She said she has seen one case in her entire career of a person with severe shock loss in donor area but eventually all cases recover. Some slower than others. (Showed him @MNIK pics) Hopefully recovery is swift post 6 months moving forward) 2) My Temple restoration ~ She said she will do temple point touch up but she was not willing in my case as i did have existing temple hairs. They do it when temple points have receeded completely and/or temples will not thin out further ( 40+ age etc). She will have to fill up the gaps. This is an artist's job and she was up for it. Fingers crossed for this. 3) PRP Requirements :- She said they give one PRP during the surgery. Future sessions depends on cases. I am not too keep on doing it if i can get away with it. 4) Hair Caliber :- My donor is good but my hair caliber is thinner . Finastiride and minoxidil and hair vitamins( Hair bless tablets) have done theirs magic in thickening my hair a bit.Hoping for the best. 5) Surgery Involvement :- She said she will do all the initial slits. Also key extraction and implantation. She vouched for her Mumbai team. They do 1 surgery every day and are meticulous. Hoping for science and magic to work here. She mentioned to keep expectations real. Also said hair transplant is the ILLUSION of density at best. I will need to up my grooming game post surgery. I said if i rate @Abhinay Singh and Ajit Virwani as 10 .. considering my hair caliber can i expect a 7-8 ? She said lets aim for 9 ..😃 As @Captain Haddock and @JohnAC71said..just need to enjoy the procedure.. Thanks @Eugenix Hair Science and everyone for the best wishes.. Next thread will be procedure and Journey.. @Melvin-Moderator
  8. This too shall pass brother.. You have the support of the clinic and the lead surgeons.. Late growth does happen in a lot of cases.. Just be positive.
  9. Thank you so much Abhinay Your words are really reassuring and just what i needed to hear..🙂 Impoving ones current look and confidence are the main goal why anyone would go for the surgery and sometimes we need that added reassurance of your words.. Thats the reason i chose @Eugenix Hair Science
  10. I Agre Abhinay But still shock loss really scares me. Especially in my case when i can hide my frontal hairline right now. Just preparing myself mentally about this. I know the procedure calls for a 8-12 months duration. Just need to trust the process..
  11. I am scheduled to do my procedure on feb 25 @Eugenix Hair Science and this really concerns me.. Loosing the non transplated hair and looking worse than before must be agonizing.. Late growth happens in a lot of cases.. Hope God gives you strength to pull out of this..🙏
  12. Thank you so much Melvin Will try to document my procedure and outcome here. Shall i make a seperate thread or update on this thread? Also any suggestions pre surgery? I am told to be off Minoxidil 2 weeks prior.
  13. ABSOLUTELY !!! Having researched a number of clinics and their ..ahem.. questionable results and credentials , I knew @Eugenix Hair Sciencewas the only place for me.. Selecting the clinic was like wining half a battle.. I came here after booking at Eugenix so was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of positive feedback about them.. Hoping for the best now..
  14. I am charged Rs 75 per graft for Dr Priyadarshini. They have higher packages with Rs 120 going till 350/graft depending on the experience of the surgeon and involvement. Heard Nothing but praise of Dr Priyadarshini and having met her i think I am in capable hands.
  15. Thank you so much for the wishes 😊 Yes I am positive and cautiously optimistic. Really hope my results are great regardless of the price. I couldn't get a better price though i tried my level best at negotiating. I was told management was centralized and they don't offer discounts anymore. I was offered a better price in 2018 but i guess thats asking a lot in 2021 🙂 So I booked Dr Priyadarshini before i could not afford her as well 😃 They are obviously banking on the goodwill and results for the asking price which is a bit pricy but definitely well deserved. They are getting a lot of inquires and patients post covid i was told. Heres hoping I made the right call..
  16. Dr Priyadarshini will be the lead surgeon in my case. I saw her in action when i went to visit the clinic twice. She took 10 mins breaks to attend my queries. She was assisted by 4-5 assistants. I am not sure about Dr Alok. Hopefully I will be attended by the best of @Eugenix Hair ScienceMumbai. I don't think Dr Arika will be involved. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the procedure and most importantly the outcome.. 🤞
  17. Two reasons 1) Dr Sethi wasn't available till march end. I didn't want to wait because i was apprehensive of backing out if I let myself overthink. 2) Dr Sethi is obviously a bit more expensive I met Dr Sethi in July 2018 and had a detailed discussion about my procedure. A true gentleman , I would have definitely wanted him to do the procedure. I am assured of same results at the Clinic as the protocols followed are the same. Dr Priyadarshini has been assisting both Drs since a couple of years and I am very confident of her abilities though i only met her twice. I also met a Patient who had undergone the procedure with Dr Priyadarshini. His result was marvellous. Hoping i made correct decision.
  18. Thank you Abhinay.. Your results and journey are inspirational.. One of the reasons for going ahead with @eugenixhairsciences.. Hoping for similar results🙂
  19. I am 34 and after years of hiding my receeding hairline I have finally decided to undergo a hair transplant procedure. After doing 2 years of research I came to the conclusion that Eugenix is the only clinic i could find in Mumbai which is consistent in their results, honest and scientific in their approach. I have receeding hairline and thinned temple. Also my frontal and mid scalp is thin. I have been on Tugain 5% and Finpecia 1mg on and off since 10 years but got serious since 6months with daily 1mg and twice tugain 5%. I have noticed a lot of improvement in hair quality and complete stop to hairloss (which had gotten worse). I am adviced to be off Minoxidil 15 days prior to surgery but continue Finpecia. I am also taking Hairbless vitamins as well. My procedure will be done by Dr Priyadarshini at Bandra Eugenix. I have met here twice. She is very warm, honest and was able to calm a lot of my anxiety. With back to back surgeries of so many patients she still said that her work was very satisfying and rewarding :) She also called me her brother :) and assured me of the best possible results. I could not be more convinced. I also met their star patient the great Mr Ajit Virwani. He was very warm and affectionate and meeting him was a pleasure. ( He is truly the masterpiece of Dr Pradeep Sethi) Dr Priyadarshini recommended 2500-2700 grafts including the temples. I am hoping for natural hairline , great density and natural looking temples. Surgery is scheduled for 25 feb 2021 Any advices, best wishes and pre/post suggestions are most welcome.
