  1. I’ve lost most of both - front hung on for dear life but crown is near nil. I did the front first and I’m fairly happy so far. Won’t lie — the shining crown still isn’t pleasant (and I absolutely will attempt to rectify in the future). hair greed is a thing and the better your front is, the more pronounced crown loss will be. Given that folks tend to have limited donor, it’s best to focus on highest area impact first (e.g. front) before using the rest in crown.
  2. I think Konior put on classic music; and the only conversation I remembered involved him speaking about the grafts. I actually felt the music was incredibly calming.
  3. Here’s a query: If the results from Diep’s office — successes and failures included — had come from a Turkish clinic, would that clinic be on the recommended list? I fully support removal.
  4. I support the removal from the recommended list. Don't think the censorship claims are true (esp. compared to other forums), but that's a separate discussion -- along with the bizarre back-and-forth between the mods of HRN and Reddit -- neither of which are particularly fruitful in the context of doing what's most useful. For the purposes of moving forward, can we please just have a separate and unbiased thread put up ASAP allowing the community to post and decide?
  5. Congrats, Gatsby. I hope young fellows who have had a bad surgery or two look at this thread and are inspired to give it one more go.
  6. A very nice result. Cheers - Hattingen continue to impress and I'm glad to see that they are on the recommended list now.
  7. I agree with the comments here. Diep's results are no longer reliable (imo they haven't been for some time) -- his clinic is effectively a very, very expensive mill. Quite sad to see a 21 year old have his hair butchered like this. At the very least a refund should be issued promptly. OP -- there are means to fix this. Look into other doctors. Truth be told, hair transplants will never truly mimic the density of native hair, but on the flipside, even the more dire situations tend to be salvageable.
  8. Not on medication. I arrived to the office around 6 a.m.. Took one 1 hour or discussing goals/hairline and questions. Surgery was over 12 hours.
  9. This is a trash list, unfortunately. A one-way ticket to getting botched. There's maybe a total of 3 decent doctors in Turkey and this isn't it. Beware that most European doctors (in fact, make that transplant doctors world-wide) are bad too. If you're in Germany, have you considered Hattengen (Swiss) or Pinto (Portugal)? If you have to do less grafts due to price, it's better. Doing fewer well-placed grafts >>>>>>>>>> many badly placed ones.
  10. Konior. I have a very similar hair loss pattern to you, as the folks who I have passed my photo to will attest (strong front patch, but my crown is worse). Contrary to what some folks are saying, while Konior suggests using medication, he does not require finasteride. I'm about 4 months out, and I'm very happy with my experience (and growth so far). I'd imagine he'd split your surgery into two. First pass for the frontal third and the second for the crown. good luck!
  11. Norwood 6 - need to see donor and lateral humps to see if you are going on 7. Ignore the person who said Eugenix is the "only option for a successful repair" lmao. Sethi is great, but there are many great repair options out there. Look into Bisanga, Zarev, Konior, Mwamba, Eugenix (Dr. Sethi only - don't do a lesser package), Hattengen, Hasson & Wong. It's more important that you find a doctor who specializes with doing more with less given that you had some grafts wasted and/or a repair specialist.
  12. Fingers crossed you see more growth in the coming months. I can def see why you're worried based on the photos, though beard hairs do have different shedding phases, so you may have caught it at a bad time. I personally don't subscribe to waiting the full 12 months, and some reputable doctors have offered touch-ups as early as month 6, indicating that it's usually clear around that point if things are going according to plan. Not much to do at this point, but grow it out and re-assess at 12 months; sometimes that adds a great deal to the illusion of density. If it turns out great, we'll be ecstatic for you mate. If stays a bit subpar, I hope Eugenix will stand by the work and offer a repair (at a minimum).
  13. IF you aren't okay with how bald or balding looks now, what makes you think that'll change five or ten years down the line? If feel like you can rock the bald look; shave and forget about transplants. You'll save time, money and plenty of agonizing wait this way. Added benefit is 0 scarring... Conversely, if balding is stressing you or strikes you as unpleasant, that isn't going to change in a decade. Only you may lose more hair in that time. Assuming you are a decent candidate and not young or aggressively in the process of loss, a hair transplant may not be a bad idea.
  14. It means that anyone who sees his results on here and elsewhere knows this clinic is garbage. If you want to go, go ahead - it's your scalp on the line bro.
  15. This is shoddy work. Why in the world did they create a hairline, but leave the area behind it bald to focus on the crown? Tbh, it looks like they took 3.8k, but only implanted half of that max. They might treat you like a king, but at the end of the day, the result isn't good and donor is wasted, what's the point? I think it's important to mention this: Do not seek a repair with this clinic -- nothing short of a refund should be accepted. I they deny you a refund, it's best to move on and find a repair doctor. This is disgraceful and proof that poor clinics can exist anywhere.
  16. Run. Don't look back. ASMED has some great results, but they also have some very bad results on here. It's also a very aggressive design proposed... What is your fallback if the transplant fails? You have limited grafts and going to the same doctor who botches/fails you doesn't sound prudent to me. Are you prepared to spend $10,000+ to just repair the damage caused by a clinic? Are you willing to accept the possibility of sparseness for life if you waste your limited grafts? If you're willing to risk the above, go for it. Otherwise, I suggest you do more research around ASMED to better understand the risks above.
  17. Yep, Lorenzo is a hard "no" and has gone the way of ASMED. The only one to add to mister's list is Hattengen.
  18. I think there's signs of thinning in the front. Assuming you lose the front, where would your hairline to be? At 32 and Norwood 6-7 pattern, I wouldn't worry. Most of the hair has fallen out, but I think what's more concerning is the severity of the dip in your crown. Crown will take more than 4,000 imo. Prob 5k. And your donor is limited mate (not sure about quality - you need a doctor to asses). I would be very cautious focusing on your crown for first go. You probably need 2-3 surgeries and can't afford to have a bad doctor waste your grafts. Think about doing the front half first and then the the back half in a second procedure.
  19. Would you be so kind as to name this clinic? It’s over harvested but if they didn’t take too many grafts a good repair surgeon will take good care of you. The ones on your list are all brilliant. I would lean toward Bisanga and Konior. Check out Mwamba too — he has many very good repairs.
  20. I agree with this. Too many bad results from him. Many patients of his on this forum need repair. Avoid him.
  21. On the bright side, the last picture looks much better. Completely agreed that the crown whorl should take priority instead of filling in the center. Good luck on the next surgery.
