  1. Thanks again for your input throughout the entire process mate, it is much appreciated!
  2. HLC, Pekiner, Demirsoy and Bicer are all very good.
  3. I'll try and find all the statistics out for you but safe to say my hair is at the higher end of the micron range. I can definitely do a photo like that for you!
  4. Alright here we are with my 8 month progress photos! Can't believe how quickly this has come around and what a huge weight has lifted off my chest since having this procedure done. Although it's not perfect and I'll likely need another HT before I'm satisfied it's been an absolute life changing experience for the better. Things to note this month: Firstly, I accidently ordered liquid minoxidil instead of foam so I thought I'd use it. Definitely makes your hair very greasy as is shown in these pics where I'd just applied it half an hour earlier. Not much overall visual change. I'm sure the hairs are still thickening and the odd third hair has popped out of a double etc but it's definitely coming toward the end of the process in my opinion. I've seen this written a bit online and it's certainly true for me that the transplanted hair is darker than my native hair there was. No idea about this one haha. I took these pics in some great lighting and some room lighting to show the disparity in how it looks and how people online seem to only post the photos that make their results look better than they actually are which doesn't help anyone. That's about it! Feel free to ask me any questions you might have as well as any comments or critiques.
  5. Thank you both so much for your contributions @Rui& @Gatsbyit means a lot getting feedback from you guys on this thread. Rui, when I brought it up from memory he said that even in nature you do get occurrences of double hairs in the hairline which is true but it's still a mistake. Luckily it isn't such big deal for my hair as it's all over the place anyway. If it were straight and fine hair then it would stand out a lot more. As for his FUE work, he has been doing a lot lately which he's been sharing on his instagram stories. I'm sure he's just as competent at FUE but he's old school and prefers patients do do FUT for their first procedure to save their donor area, especially guys in their 20s. Gatsby, Thank you for the continued support and interest in my thread! I agree, it should only improve from here on out and by 12 months it will be looking really good. As for the scar, I don't even think about it because I don't wear my hair with a fade, the lowest I go is a #5 which you can't see the scar anyway. If I do another procedure I'll do FUE/DHI and potentially get some grafts in the scar for peace of mind. Cheers guys!
  6. FueCap are better than most the cheap hairmils in Turkey as they operate more like a western clinic with doctor involvement and they do get decent results. I'd like to see them start doing hairlines not so perfectly symmetrical and adding some micro-irregularities which would put them closer to the level of Demirsoy.
  7. Mate if this procedure is anything to go by you can safely assume you would be able to get another 1k grafts into the hairline to increase density and lower it a little. I can see by your pics why you'd want to, I'm in the same boat actually at 7 months. But in saying that, you look great already!
  8. Thanks Rolandas! I get really annoyed when people aren't posting accurate photos, just taking photos from further away in favourable lighting without doing hairline closeups. It doesn't help anybody and might make people think their own results aren't good enough. I love the design of the hairline and the micro-irregularities, the only thing as you can see in the closeups is there's a couple of double grafts including the one at the VERY front of the hairline haha.
  9. Ok here we are with my 7 month update! I can't believe how fast this time has gone and it has definitely been one of the best things I've done for my self confidence and self worth in my entire life so far! Things to note this month: Individual hairs are now thickening more each week. Also changing colour to make them more like my native hair. Crown seems to be improving more each month as well. Still attribute most of this to finasteride and minoxidil. Although my hair characteristics are excellent for the illusion of density, I can see that the hairline especially could have been packed more densely. This seems to be pretty common with Dr Vikram's patients going through other people's results online. I'm lucky that it isn't as big a deal for me. I'm convinced the hairline should be just a touch lower. I don't want my 19 year old hairline back but I still can't quite style my hair the way I'd like to appropriate to my age. Overall massive improvement and overall I am happy with the results. Feel free to give your critiques or comments!
  10. As Melvin said above, I had surgery with Dr Vikram recently. Feel free to ask me any questions and check out my thread
  11. The best cheap clinic in Turkey is Fuecapilar. One patient a day, full doctor involvement although your results will still reflect the work of a budget clinic. HLC, Keser, Pekiner and Demirsoy are the only good clinics in the country.
  12. Exactly right Melvin! Way too many flattering and unrealistic pictures in other forums from patients and clinics alike which doesn't help anybody!
  13. The older I get, the more I try and remind myself just control the things you can control and don't worry about the things you can't
  14. All good mate, we're here to discuss everything! I'm thankful you're showing interest in my prrocedure
  15. I wasn't aware of any of that pre-surgery but did read about it a few months ago. In saying that, I don't think it's worth me worrying about as what is done is done and you can get yourself into a negative mindset if you dwell on such things. As for his skill as a surgeon, I wouldn't call him amateur. I think he's a decent surgeon with a good knowledge base and so when I see him in a week I'll be discussing all of the things I mentioned in my above comments as he is priced as a top surgeon and should be producing that level of work.
  16. That's basically it. Whilst I don't think it will make a massive difference to the overall result, the fact that either the techs have sorted some of the grafts incorrectly or the doctor made the mistake it's one that shouldn't happen with an almost $15k procedure where you should expect world class work to be done.
  17. Hi mate thanks for your comment! We discussed hair restoration a fair bit before the procedure so he knew my expectations and a doctor of his level should absolutely know that double grafts don't belong in the hairline, especially for the price per graft. I'm having my 6 month evaluation with him next week and we'll discuss it then. He is definitely proficient in FUE and FUT, I assume he's more comfortable with FUT but I wouldn't let that put you off. Cheers!
