  1. At six months it really is too soon to make a final assessment which I would reserve at the 12 month mark. Who was the surgeon that did your hair transplant? Is the first photo in this thread the pre op photo? It appears from the post op pics that you are covering a large area with 3,200 grafts. The hardest part about this game (and the most important part) is patience. Especially at a time when patience feels non existent. Hang in there and anymore additional photos or information would be beneficial. Wishing you all the best!

  2. First of all I just want to say that I would genuinely be over the moon if I was able to achieve these results. I've watched many of this clinic's results over the past few years and they all look incredible. Who is/are the surgeon/s who perform hair transplants at this clinic?

My only concern (well it's not really a concern I'm just curios) is why it took four surgeries? I imagine it was to gain greater density in the last two procedures. Also after the third surgery I thought the donor area looked over harvested (my biggest fear when I have my head done)? I'm just wondering what better informed people than myself feel? It's a fantastic result like I said though. Thanks for sharing Rolandos and I'd like to know more about this clinic.

  3. Hi Sim. You are judging your results now at the 12 week mark. Not the 12 month mark. I can understand the frustration in wanting the new grafts to grow quickly but you have plenty of time. Did Eugenix tell you how many more grafts you have left to use from your scalp donor? You also look to have awesome beard donor. If you choose not to take finasteride I can respect your decision. I look forward to seeing your results in the coming months! You have gone to one of the best clinics in the world IMHO. I will be having my work done at Eugenix once flights resume after this corona virus settles down.

  4. What a fantastic result! Around 4,000 grafts just from the scalp donor region alone shows that Eugenix knows how to harvest donor grafts at any age. I remember seeing the results after your first procedure and this second procedure, at only three months post op, looks incredible. I look forward to following this thread in the months to come. It gives not only high Norwood patients hope but also us more senior folk that are follicularly challenged! 😉

  5. Hey Melvin! It's funny that from the age of around 19 I remember the media always releasing news of a new cure (stem cell, etc) for baldness. And then five years later I heard the same. In fact I've noticed that it seems to be in the media around every five years that we are close to a cure (however it will be five years away). Just a coincidence I know. I think their will be a cure but I think a prevention will arrive sooner than a cure. If we look at the evolution of hair transplants from the first punch grafts to today's best FUE work we can see the evolution in the art of surgery. Also we have minoxidil and finasteride, etc. I'm sure medications will improve in being far more effective with less side effects also. In the end though my hunch is that the solution won't be in stem cell research but in gene editing. That makes far more sense to me.

  6. LFHT remember that at the end of the day it is the tortoise not the 'hair' (pardun the pun) that wins the race. I have gone through your thread again from the start. I don't believe for a minute that your surgery was carried out any differently to any other patient from Eugenix (ie, slits being filled within three days, grafts being made into singles, etc). You have to remind yourself that you have not been on any finasteride (or minoxidil) which nearly all of their patients take (if they can tolerate it). It's so easy for me to say, but you really want to wait until the 9-12 month mark to make any real assessment on your results (and even then their is still room for improvement). Also one of the great things about Eugenix that ticks my box is their after care. You are in the best hands with Dr Pradeep and Dr Arika. They have performed thousands of hair transplants and the knowledge that you are in the 5% category should bring you some comfort in the waiting game of a hair transplant with ZERO medication. I look forward to following your results in the coming months to come. Stay strong!

  7. Yes I would definitely not have a hair transplant. Especially at this stage. How long have you been on finasteride/minoxidil for? I would definitely stay on these two drugs and assess their outcome after 8-12 months. Their are plenty of vloggers on YouTube that have obtained fantastic results from minoxidil use alone. Remember you can always have a hair transplant 'tomorrow.' Learn from my mistakes and all the best!

  8. Happithymes from your pics I don't feel that your hair loss today is bad at all. In fact you have a head of hair that many would envy. I do though understand the fear of future loss from my own experience. Have you tried minoxidil? I have seen lots of great videos on people who stayed the course with minoxidil and not only gained more density but also grew back what they had lost in receding and patchy areas. It's definitely worth using now and sticking with it. All the best!

  9. lebaneseguy, with the greatest of respect, please cancel your hair transplant surgery!!!!!!! I say this from personal experience and from those of so many others. I had two surgeries (and remember they are surgeries) starting at the age of only 18. What I thought would give me the answer to all of my problems only created a nightmare that continued for the rest of my life. I realise you are 21 and not 18 but it will not be until you are in your mid 20's until it can be established what pattern of baldness your hair will take on. In the world of hair transplants, 'PLANNING FOR THE LIFESPAN IS KEY.' At 21 it's far too early to have any idea of planning surgery to maximize your results over the long hall of life. Even with medications such as minoxidil and finasteride used religiously, you still don't know how long they will hold out for.  I am not anti hair transplant surgery at all. But I beg you to learn from my mistakes and not from your own in years to come (and trust me they will come quickly).

I don't know any of today's top ethical surgeons who would ethically perform surgery on you at your young age of 21 which also worries me. You therefore are even more likely not to get the 'long term' results that you wish for. As Joe Tillman always says you can always have a hair transplant 'tomorrow.' I in no way mean to belittle your efforts but I am 53 and have a lifetime of experience talking to and being involved with people who have regretted having a hair transplant/s because they were too young and/or did not 'plan' for the lifespan of hair loss and surgery. Many should never have been considered a candidate for hair transplant surgery and now still wish that they never had it performed. There are so many people who just wish they never had a hair transplant in the first place. I know these are not the words you are wanting to hear but it's for that reason I seriously urge you to cancel having a hair transplant for now. As my father who was a carpenter once said it's always best to measure twice and cut once. Not the other way around. Roughly up to 30% of work now being done is repair work by the top hair transplant surgeons today. Please don't become one of them. Feel free to pm me or look at my vlog on being 53 and considering having a hair transplant. Even at my age today it is still an issue but I have come to accept my scars and I'm still hopeful for surgery to correct my situation. And this situation started from the position you are exactly in now.

Again I am definitely NOT saying don't have hair transplant. What I am saying though is that for a myriad of reasons that are beyond the scope of a one post reply I would hold off and look and plan for having a hair transplant for the rest of your life. Take care!

  10. Paddy that's a stellar result mate, even more so at only the six month mark! You've gone through the hard yards to your credit so now reap the rewards. Imagine your results in another six months! Extremely happy for you mate. Looking forward to further updates!

  11. Hey Namsak,

Thanks for sharing. You look like you have really good caliber hair and plenty of beard grafts if you require anymore in the future. At only two months it's looking great! Imagine what it will look like in 12 months! Love the title of your post too!! Lol!
