lms i think you should take some pics of scar & post. though i think most will get a decent(if you can say that) scar some will get a stretched scar negardless. show the reality some may face. why in the world would you buzz to a zero??? missing farrel or your root canal canceled??? dr l your wife let you see patients on vacation? probably some single guys on here want to know if she has a sister that's single. rtc

uht glad to hear you visit with dr feller went to your satisfaction. my feeling is he would have treated you the same way w/o this post. there was some good that came out of this post. many newbies will see that anything might happen with surgery. a doctors 97% success rate means nothing to the other 3%. dr fellers pride alone will ensure he will do his best on 2nd ht. that's the best part of arrogance, you have to be better & try harder to be arrogant. good luck & keep us updated with pics. if you're ever out on long island & want to meet for a beer let me know. rtc

hsusa BEFORE HT 1. Get a massage the night before. It's good for the mind & the back the will be sitting for hours & hours. You must remain very still for a very long period. This is my #1 tip. 2. Get a travel pillow for flight & sleeping; it's a must even if you don't travel. It will keep your head elevated from pillow while grafts are at a unsettled stage. Do a search on Google. Many airports sell them but try to get in advance. 3. Buy whatever you need before going for ht. You will not want to shop with a swollen face. The clerks may throw the milk & eggs at your 'bigface' in fear. 4. Take a sleeping pill the night before to get a good night's sleep. Your mind will not let you sleep & will be filled with many thoughts & anxieties. 5. If you can have a friend or loved one with you. It's an exhausting day & you will be better off with some to watch over you or run errands. 6. Bring a loose hat or bandana or 2 with you as spares. They could get bloody. Make sure they are new or washed you do not want to get infected. 7. See the doctor the day before surgery if possible to go over what will be done. It gives you time to think about suggestions & may save you from a hasty decision. 8. Have doctor's office wash your hair every day you are still in town. They do it best & will also see any problems that can be nipped in the bud. 9. Think of how you will be hiding ht or telling everyone about it. Have a plan for both ways as you may change your mind after procedure. I did. 10. Trim your nails before ht &/or wear socks over your hands to keep from scratching at night. i did this for about a week after surgery. 11. Make sure you get Lidocaine or something to numb for staple removal day before you leave doctors office. The only thing I could buy over the counter was very ineffective for pain. 12. Buy a soft toothbrush to keep area around staples clean. Gently get rid of any blood buildup, which will help with staple removal. 13. Do scalp exercises if you are sure you are getting HT. Start as early as possible even months in advance. Every minute you do them might mean more grafts & less tightness after surgery. 14. Keep a hat or bandana on doorknob. Nothing more embarrassing then answering the door naked headed & getting weird look from the UPS guy. 15. Get a buzzcut and/or start wearing a hat weeks before surgery. You will get all those stares & questions answered while not acting so nervous. After HT someone may pick up your body language real easy & know something is up More tips to come as I think of them.

HT TIPS Don't ever let travel be a major factor, ever. You will fly to the ends of the earth to get it repaired. Believe me I have read the stories & seen the pictures. Many pick up 1/2 your airfare & put you up for 2 nights. You can consult with these doctors by phone or email. I think phoning will get you better response. Have all your questions written down to get as much answered as possible. bandito there is nothing more insulting then to be considered a shill in my eyes. when i read your post i agreed with everything but that line. 1st i had my ht with dr hasson not dr feller even though he was in my backyard. 2nd i doubt my "boss" would like me calling him arrogant though he might be able to handle the handwriting line. 3rd my concern is with patients 1st unless dr is being unfairly or wrongly accussed. funny but after reading thana's post about dr fellers 1st response where was customer service denied. do you feel patient is due refund or 2nd ht if dr did everything properly? he offered him a better rate & upfront has expressed to patient the possible chance of average to below average result. how many other doctors out there are that honest & upfront? rtc ps 4th he's a yankess fan

i just realized what bugs me so much about this post. the title. had unforunate had been to see dr feller & was told i'll give you 2000 more at the same price the title would fit. it seems like he is building a case before dr feller has had a chance to evaluate. comes off underhanded to me & unfair. rtc

cd what you also need to ask is age & nw before & nw after. what makes me very happy at 50 would be devastating at 25 & just so-so at 35. too often we look back instead of forward (the direction we are going in). rtc

lms i agree chill out a bit. save that rage for when pats returns. dr feller is one of the good guys. hey, he may be a little arrogant but most doctors are. it's a fault some have like bad handwriting. if you read his 1st response he is right there for patient, he's just not sure who it is. i think hopeful may have fired him up & he snapped back at him not the patient. rtc

i have found dr feller to be one of the honest doctors out on the forums. if you look at the last pic in the gallery & the pic right after surgery it shows what results might be expected. behind the center hairline is an area that was not touched. 7 months later you still see hair there, 2 years later it is gone. the left & right hairline looks pretty good combed back but the front center is weak because there is a newer bald spot. when i left dr fellers office after my 1st consultation i had no illusions of a perfect result or that nothing could go wrong. the biggest fear was what if i look like all those other regretful patients. research is your best friend but anything can still happen. it's kinda like a horse race. you can have the best horse & jockey. you can research the track, weather & odds with everything in your favor. then the race is over & you came in last for no logical reason. do you ask for your bet back? no. if there was something irresponsible done you have a case but dr feller has not been shown to have done anything to be liable for. i'm unsure if 2000 or 1200 grafts grew. what was the amount that dr true said? was it 2000 or not? rtc

hopefull i too am pissed & feel like dr armani missed a bullet. your explanation to lms was excellent & helps me understand the bigger picture. we can still post our feelings here about the things we have seen & disagree with. i would love to ask pats if he ever posted that piss-poor FUE results yet. pat or Billo i don't know if farrel has posting privileges but he pm'ed me this so i thought i'd pass it on since i can't answer it. How can people comment on a lawsuit when they have never seen the actual lawsuit because it was never shown to them? I guess nobody out there was smart enough to ask to see it. Maybe if you had you wouldn't need to wonder why it got settled.

wow talk about passionate opinions. after reading this post the past hour there are clearly 2 ways to take it. i for 1 am happy that wb is at peace with himself after time. i wish we all could accept the curse we are stuck with. he has freed himself of what has become an obsession with others. he is fully aware of the limitations of his donor & realizes the past is the past & he would never be fully satisfied. many younger guys long for what they can never again have, the full density they desire. i have always said my satisfaction level would be low if i was in my 20's or 30's. in my 50's it is much higher as i saw what bald was & this is better though not perfect. rtc ps so much for the idea that bald men can't get a beautiful woman. besides who wants a shallow woman that would let hair become a dealbreaker?
