They are not.
The only research on the topic is from Bernestain, 2006
"The study showed that for the first two days, pulling on a hair always resulted in a lost graft, but the chance of the graft being removed started to decrease by the third day. By the sixth day pulling on a hair would no longer dislodge the graft. Pulling on an adherent scab always resulted in a lost graft through day five, with the incidence decreasing through day eight. However, by nine days post-op, grafts were no longer at risk of being dislodged."
After 3 days, excpet you do not try to stretch your hair out, you are perfectly sage.
After 5 days, you won't dislodge the graft even if you try to pull out your hair. -

Hi all. I’m booked in with Bruno Pinto on January 15th. I’m from the UK and will, obviously, be flying for my surgery. 45 quid! Bargain! Anyway, I’m a bit clumsy and worried I might do something to hurt the grafts! Does anyone have any tips? Maybe pay for a better standard of travel? Gonna feel a right tit at the airport! Can’t imagine there will be many transplant folk about!
anyway, if anyone has any tips, I’d really appreciate it.
Grafts are completely safe after 48-72 post op.

This doctor is quite interesting!

everyone must do their own due diligence.
I would never ask other people to do the due diligence for me.
I'm just asking to share the cases, because on both the Spanish forums I can find only one report.
Probably I'm a very bad researcher and I'm looking for your help.
At the end of the story, this should be the purpose of the community: helping and sharing. -

This is one case, without any pic

This the ONLY CASE with pics.
For the record, the Spanish user (considering that nobody knew him) considered that 2,25 was a crazy price.
_Wonder why what they would say at 3/3,5 and 4 for repair.- 1

I appreciate everyones input. Dr. Espinosa Custodio was added based on his high quality results, reviews and case presentation. There are two forums in Spanish, there are several on the Spanish forum that show quality. Just because a doctor doesn’t have reviews in this forum doesn’t mean they’re bad or not high quality. In my opinion, very few doctors present the top-notch case presentation as Dr. Espinosa. It’s as honest and transparent as it gets.
His integrity and ethics are also top-notch. He’s one of the few surgeons that put in writing on his site that he would stand by his patient if they’re unhappy. That shows he’s not only good, but ethical.
Yes our recommendations sponsor the forum, we make that clear everywhere. But they do not make the list unless we feel they have the skill, quality and integrity. But I don’t disagree, lists are only starting points for research. Ultimately, we always stress our community research diligently.Melvin, please, can you share the cases? It can be very helpful for me!
As you know, I was going to book with him but without real cases it is a risk.
Maybe you are a better "researcher" than me because I researched for days on Spanish forum and there is only ONE case (benign Italian, I understand Spanish and I can swear that 99% of users there don't know how he is).

Ximena Villa.
Both Ximena and Ferreira used to work under Lorenzo. They're highly skilled doctors.
They both left and opened their own clinics.
While Lorenzo has chosen quantity over quality and hence has become a notorious hairmill, Ferreira & Ximena seem more ethical and meticulous. They do solid work.
really??? Lorenzo an hair mill??

Melvin said he did his homework.
Wonder how.
I paid the visit with him and he was a nice and kind person but..is this enough to be reccomaned here?
I've been searching on this guy for days, just a single case on recuperarelpelo (the Spanish forum).
A doctor from madrid and just one single case?
Many on that forum asked "who is he?"
For sure he can ne the best doctor on the planet but there is no proof of that.- 3

I really like @Dr. Espinosa Custodio work and this is why I choose him over others.
I think that all his cases are good/excellent.
That said, I would like to know what happened with this patient.
The density is great (especially considering the number of graft he used).
But (hope to be wrong) there are a lot of multi grafts on the first line and the singles are very thick (single, thin hair should be used in the transition zone).
Wonder why he thought it is a good Ht and why he thought he was good for "publication".
Thanks- 1

De freitas - 3.5 euros per graft(one of the best hairline designer and great value for money imo)
I really like his works, but the hairline design is straight, no curvatures. It is an unnatural design. I like it but it is hard to say he is the best for HL.

Is there something in a blood test that could predict failure? What could be a misdiagnosis that would result in the failure of accepted grafts?
in same cases, the diagnosis can be easy, and can be made extracting a couple of graft or simply looking at your scalp. In other cases, the doc could need a biopsy.
-
I read a lot of guys claiming that the growth after a second HT was faster.
I asked to doc Custodio in person if it is a myth and he said that in many case is true. -
many people won't agree with me, but is always a doc's fault if the HT is not good.
a) the doc made a wrong diagnosis (he considered you a good candidate while you are not).
b) the doc made something wrong during the execution of the ht.

very natural. If I was you, I asked for a lower HL. It is just a matter of taste in any case.

Bicer has two prices: if you go for motorized punch, it is 3euro FU
If you opt for manual, the price is 4.
Custodio uses only motorized and the price is 3 shaved and 3.5 semi-shaved.6 hours ago, mr_peanutbutter said:are they the same price?

My choice was between Bicer and Custodio.
I choose Custodio.
The good things for Bicer were:
a) manual punch
b) quickly available
c) a lot of works on this forum
The good things for Custodio were:
a) I really like him
b) I love the 90% of his works on instagram
My only concern is that I never saw a review/report from customers.
As we know, instagram post from the clinics are cherry picking...So often they do not reflect the average work of the doctor.
I will be the guinea pig for the community.

This work shows how much temporal peaks matter!
Your face looks "smaller" (in a good way) and you have a better frame to your eyes.
I love rounded HL, If I was you, I asked for a "flatter" frontal hairline. But it is just a matter of taste- 1

Incrementally increasing the rotational speed and vice versa on the way down
Thank you.
I think it is shocking that Couto treated a such big are with a such small amount of grafts.
Couto Charges more than others for single grafts but he is so skilled and uses such a small amputa of grafts, that you pay less with couto than with other, less famous docs.
Did you wait about 2 yrs to get your HT?

300€Unfortunately I am not sure, being located in Canada it’s quite far for me. I’ll try to find a clinic that does the specific PRP Dr.Couto explained to me
can you explain what kind of PRP he suggested?

Definitely not a typical Zarev patient. I don’t even think you need an HT tbh.
I think that Melvin is right.

I would love taking 1.25 but ufortunately I can't break the pill.
At the moment, I'm at 2.5 every other day and I have puffy face, periorbital edema and forehead wrinkles.
It is like I am 10 yrs older....
some docs suggest to use spironolactone (50) to avoid puffiness (speciale bonus: spiro acts like a mild antiandrogen). Maybe I'll give a try -

Really want to move from topical tretinoin to Accutane to permanently get rid of my acne but I’ve read online that accutane must not be taken before skin re grafting or hair transplants. What’s the logic behind this and what’s a safe timeline?
Is it true for topical tretinoine too?

was going to open a similar thread.
Some experts suggest that motorized extractions can damage hair follicles.
Is it true?

In my case, the clinic barely extracted 5,5% of singles. The singles were really hard to find because I had almost all multiples.
In your case they extracted about 8% singles.
Why? Who knows!
Maybe they extracted 400 singles because the doctor decided that he just needed 400.
If the doctor looks for a dense pack, the less single he uses, the denser the HT will appear.
