I have extremely fine hair just like the patient does, and know from experience, that adding wax / pomade / or hairspray, coats the hairs and makes each individual hair strand look thicker. This is one reason that good doctors ask for the consultation to be held WITHOUT any substance in the hair, to accurately assess the thickness and quality of the patient's hair.
To say that hair with pomade / wax / hair spray in it does NOT add a volumizing effect is honestly quite baffling to me- 1

This patient came to us in his early 30's with frontal loss and a slightly thinning crown.
In early 2019 we carried out a procedure of 2,000 follicles to the front and top.He was happy with the outcome and 3 years later had lost more original hair and wanted to give the frontal area a further boost. We then did an additional 1870 grafts.
.
Very nice indeed! but...is that product in his hair in the results pictures...? It would be nice to see it natural without gel, spray, fibers, hair spray etc, just to see how it looks naturally...a video combthough would be ideal if you have one....?

Definitely seems to have had work done at the front. Looks somewhat artificial.

12 month post op today!
It is still the best money I've ever spent. I don't look in the mirror and with an unpleasant feeling. Instead im just excited to style my hair every time.
I take finasteride EOD because im so happy about my hair now, and want it for as long as possible, and not worry about losing it. No sides. Also take vitamins.
Fresh out the shower with wet hair:
Air dried with salt water:
Styled in front of windows:
Absolutely superb. Two questions:
1. Bisanga usually suggests oral minox.. did you not decide to go for that for a particular reason, or did he not suggest it for a particular reason..?
2. Regarding your fine hair, did Bisanga mention what the hair groupings were like...? Mostly 2s, 3s, or even 1s...? Thanks! -

Hello,
I finally did my HT with dr. Bisanga (30 Jan 2023). I will not go in a lot of details because most of the other topics in the forum already have said them.
Recipient area:
I had 1200 grafts mainly in the temples which were my primary goal. You can notice that the grafts are implanted above my first HT hairline because I think it was a bit low. I spoke with dr. Bisanga about that and he agreed that in a next session we can remove/relocate them so to remain the new hairline. I'm still not quite sure if I will do this but I think when I turn 40 years+, this old hair line will not look natural for my age.
Dr. Bisanga suggested me this number of grafts in my consultation but said that it could take a bit more if he connects the temples and reinforce the entire hair line. I also agreed with him but I didn't want to go above this number because I am afraid for my donor (which was already compromised).
Donor area:
The grafts were taken outside the area which was used for my first HT. And that destroyed area was clearly obvious after shaving my head (I will post more clear picture when the clinic sends me them). Just to mention that I was very apprehensive to shave my head because this was the first time in my life. My big ears do not stand well on a naked head 😅.
The procedure:
On the day of the operation, I first had a brief discussion about the documents and after that I met dr. Bisanga. I told him that I want a bit higher hairline and he draw it. Then I discussed with him my top priorities. My number one was the preservation of the quality of the donor area, so I told him that I would like to keep the impact minimal (I already new that he is good in donor management, so this was one of the reasons I chose him). A second was to fill the temples and if there are more grafts left to connect them (the new hair line).
Then I moved to the op. room. After few shots of anesthesia he started taking grafts from my right side and a bit of the back side. Later he made the incisions on the recipient side and left the room. Then his technicians started moving the grafts from the donor to the recipient side.
One thing which I wish regarding discussions with dr. Bisanga is he to be more inquiring. He looks a nice guy and of course answers all questions but I felt during consultation and the day of the procedure that he is not very talkative. I have explanation for this which is he already spoke the same things to hundreds of people and are well known for him but still often patients do not know what good questions to ask.
PS: If the moderator can edit the title to "Dr. Bisanga repair procedure 1200 grafts" or something similar because I don't have rights to do it
The day before the procedure (here I exposed intentionally the thin area😞
Day 0 (the day of the procedure):
Day 1:
Agreed. Nice guy, very knowledgable, but i also got the impression he just couldn't wait to get me out of the office. What i was expectig to be 30 minutes - 40 minutes consult actually was over in 15.
Understandable I guess if you get asked the same questions over and over on a daily basis, but it certainly doesn't instil comfort and confidence in the patient that this doc is to there to make the best decisions and guide you through the whole process.
That being said, he does seem to have some stellar results, so i'm sure you're in good hands -
Very nice. Would be great to see a video comb-through and some donor pics

I am still on the usual Bisnaga Minoxidil prescription and don't intend to stop at this point.
Superb result! Happy for you!
2 questions for OP and anyone out there who can chime in:
1. Any idea why Bisanga usually recommends oral minox as opposed to fin?
2. What would happen if you were to stop the oral minox after 12 months say, when you reach full growth? (Curious if you asked Bisanga this, what would happen should you choose to stop taking it)
Thanks! -
....what happens if you come off it? Back to baseline, or an even worse shed...?
Also curious as to what time period you have been on it / can be on it without serious side effects?
Thanks!- 1

Once a shy and insecure young man, suffering from hair loss and constantly self-conscious about his appearance, he turned to a hair system as a solution. But, after undergoing a hair transplant, he is now a confident and self-assured individual. The hair transplant gave him a natural looking head of hair, boosting his self-esteem and allowing him to live his life to the fullest. He no longer has to constantly worry about his appearance and can focus on the things that truly matter.
A total of only 2560 grafts were used during a one day FUE surgery for the front. The surgery started at 08.00 and finished at 15.00
Please take a note of the quality of the pictures. Imo every surgeon should post pictures of this high quality so the patient can see exactly what he's getting in to. Hiding hairlines behind falling hairs or combed down hairs is not what a patient is looking for. So as a patient, don't compromise until you've seen good quality pics of results.
I perform the whole surgery myself. Shaving, punching, extracting, making sites and placing is all done by myself.
My assistant sorts the grafts and helps me during placing. Also, every contact made with my clinic is directly with me. I answer all the calls/emails personally. Aftercare is direct contact with me through WhatsApp.

Great result doctor, and thanks for the no BS approach regarding pictures and transparency.
Could you just clarify to us:
1. What is the micron size of his hair?
2. Was he on medication before, and is he on any now?
Thanks! -
nice work! following.
great write up, but i don't think you mentioned the micron size of your hair...? -

[Week 5 update]
It looks like my prayers have been heard! I have almost no shockloss / shedding. Probably due to the fact the doctor worked so precise.
A few hairs broke off, but some of them will probably continue to grow, while others will fall out and come back in a few months. But about 85-90% is still here. The Doctor told me that the hairs that have grown will not fall out anymore, he could see it. Which is an insane relief.
The hairs are now about 1,4cm long, so they are growing nice and fast.
Yesterday I went to the barber for the first time and he was very impressed by the results. He is even thinking of getting a HT himself.
People around me don't even know I had a HT because it's not visible anymore. Redness is almost gone, density is great, donor area looks calm and healthy.
I just say I went for the Michael Scofield look and they seem to like it.As you can guess I never expected this result. I thought I'd had to wait until March to see some results. I would have never guessed that it would be so good at just 5 weeks!
So all in all I am already incredibly happy with the results and I can not advise Fuegenix and dr. Munib Ahmad enough.
I took these pictures next to a window so you can see with a lot of light what it looks like. I don't like to pretent its better by changing light conditions. I want the pictures to be as helpful and honest as possible.
Looking great, man! I'll be following!

Looks good. Just wondering why not showing the donor area...?
-
Looks amazing! And....Holy sh*t that is a dense beard!!!
-
Great result, and thanks for the honest photos. Only the best are confident enough to be this transparent.
-
Great result!
And thanks for being transparent and including important information such as micron size. Not enough doctors do this IMO- 1

Although thin hair has a lower coverage coefficient, blond haired guys often have lower hair/skin contrast. Also blond haired have a higher average hairs per graft. Thin hair is more forgiving when missing a double in the hairline then thick hair or whej being misangled. Many many more reason i could give a whole series of lectures about this.
You could send me some photos of your own hair then I can explain it to you in regard to you case. I think that's what you would like to know.
Sure. How to contact you directly?

This is such an improvement, great job! Anything that can be done about those scars though...?

By the way, working with thin hair is even easier then working with thick hair. Also blond hair is easier then dark hair. There are many reason why thin hair makes a hair transplant easier (if you have low to zero transection rate). The key is to make it not look thin after it’s transplanted by choosing the right follicular unit’s while extracting.
Thanks for the response. Could you name some of these reasons why thin, blonde hair is easier to work with than thick hair? I usually hear the opposite and always just presumed i was cursed...
And is the only way to make it look 'not thin' by having it long? What if we choose to have it fairly short, does that ruin the illusion? Thanks!
