  1. Hi

I have decided to get a hair transplant by end of this year and been doing my research from last 1 year. My top two are Dr Hasson from canada and Dr Bloxham from usa. I am from Canada but dont mind travelling to new York. Both of their work have been excellent. I did my consultation with both ( Spoke with Dr hasson representative and Directly with Dr Bloxham) and been told i need around 2500 grafts FUT for the frontal and hairline area.  I have not see any bad work from Dr Bloxham so far and seen one bad transplant from Dr hasson posted by @noob. Does anyone else have a good or  bad experience with any off the doctor and would like to share your experience.

I would guess it’s inserting 1 graft as a time as the hole is made for it rather than making a bunch of holes before placing any. But to answer your question, id go for Hasson, He’s consistently been considered one of the worlds most elite surgeons for well over 10 years, konior is the in surgeon on here at the moment as Rahal was 5 years or so ago but there’s very little in the way of patient posted results over one year post op (unless I’ve missed them)

Hasson was my first choice but i came across below blog which kinda scares me which is why i was looking at other clinics aswell. Does anyone know anything about the below blog? it was created back in 2005.

Interesting post! It would be nice to get more information about this clinic. I had my procedure there with Darling Buds (Tejinder Bhatti). His new clinic is large, and impressive, but it was vacant when I went in Jan. It sounds like he's getting it up and running with his daughter.

The price seems like it's 60% less. I think that's about as low as Turkey.

I would try to get more info about the procedure; Who does what portions? Who are the techs (same as Darling Buds, or relatively new techs/ how long have support staff worked together)?

Honestly, if Bhatti helped train her, is literally an elevator ride away if something happens, I would feel 80-95% confident I was getting a procedure to Darling Bud's standard.

Only question I would have is the value proposition for (Tejinder) Bhatti: Why open a competing clinic that undercuts in the same facility? Is it to pass on the business? To gain experience and name recognition before she opens a clinic further away?

I guess I can try asking @Dr Tejinder Bhatti directly.

Regardless, @Nordic storm you need to do your due diligence before you commit to anything. Money comes and goes, but this is a permanent decision. Make sure you're OK with the doc before you consider costs. One way I can try to help with costs (regardless of where you travel to) is a strategy I wrote about in a post: Airfare guide . I cover how you can try to save hundreds on the travel if you book certain times of year/ certain paths. But, if it becomes apparent that you're limited in that you only want to go during certain times of the year or certain luxuries (direct flights/few layovers) it may be more in your favor to save up for the procedure for an additional year to get the flight you want. I also recommend taking time now to start chronicling trip costs to Delhi/Turkey to find out what you can expect to pay, and how much it fluctuates (especially if you test future dates). It'll help you create a cost profile for the trip, and you may find out that a procedure is more affordable than you thought.

    Best of luck.

@Lennney is Dr Bhatti good with designing Hairline and temple area ?

Two of the best HT doctors on the planet - both clinics offer excellent post-op care. I had 3 FUE procedures with Rahal because that's what my gut told me to go with. I was most comfortable with his conservative plan for my specific situation. I also think his hairlines are superbly natural. I had gotten an online consult with Dr. Wong of H&W at the time. But to be honest, I would not have doubts having gone with either Hasson or Wong - they're a top tier premier clinic. Its all about who you feel most comfortable with. Both Rahal or Hasson will be excellent for traditional strip surgery, I believe its just FUE is just more popular now. I needed a larger strip mega session, however I had minimal time off, needed to get back to work, etc. so I opted for FUE. Best of luck in your journey.

    @home1212Can you share your pictures?

These sound like similar estimates to me except that Hasson is going further back into your midscalp and thus using more grafts. Are you on finisteride/propecia? If you still have a fair amount of hair in that area some Drs would rather wait to transplant there to see if medical treatment alone helps enough to get you through a few more years without needing to transplant the area.

I am not taking any medicine at the moment. However, I do have most off my hair expect the temple area and my hairline went up slightly. See the pictures and let me know what do you guys think.

  7. Hello Everyone

Does anyone recently had a hair transplant FUT with either Dr Hasson or Dr Rahal? I have spoken with both of the clinic and I'm not able to decide whom should I choose. On their YouTube channel none of them posted Fut videos this year and even they did those videos are not showing the scar.  Please share your recent experience.

    Thank You.

  8. Hi Guys

I have contacted Dr Hasson and wong and Dr Rahal. Both of them have given me a different estimate. I have not heard anything back from Dr Feller Office as off yet. I am trying to decide if I should go with Fut or Fue as I like to keep my sides short. Any Advise.

    Dr Hasson :

3000 Grafts which cover from front to Mid Scap and re designing the front hairline and Temple area.. Either Fue or Fut.

    Dr Rahal

2000 Grafts which will cover most of the front part and re designing the front and temple area. Either Fue or Fut.  Does Dr Rahal really perform Fue Manually instead of Robotics System?

Dr. Bloxham is an excellent choice. Dr. Huebner performs micrograft hair plugs. He does not perform follicular unit transplantation. The hair 'plugs' contain anywhere from 10-15 hairs per graft. This was popular in the 80's and 90's, but very few physicians still practice this form of surgery. Now I'm not going to speak ill of any surgeon, but just do some additional research as to why follicular unit transplantation has become the gold standard today.

How to find out that Dr Huebner is doing micrograft hair plugs instead off FUT? Can you tell by just looking at the hair transplant ? I was able to found that Micrograft hair plugs was popular in 80s and 90s but not anymore. I was watching his videos and i could not able to tell. Any advice regarding how to find out if a Dr is going a micrograft hair plugs or FUT ?

    Thanks

  10. Hi Guys.

I am a new member. I was about to go ahead with my hair transplant with Dr Matt Huebner untill i found this website. Can anyone who had a hair transplant with him share your experience and pictures. Some one did mentioned in one off the past that Dr Huebner does not do Fut Instead he does mini graft surgery. Any prove ? Plus i came across Dr Feller & Bloxham. Why are they better then Huebner.

    Would really appreciate your feedback.

    Thanks

    C
