Whats the bro science part? Show me the science where smoking weed within 3 months of surgery will have an adverse effect.
Yeah, here's another doctor's reply. Sustain 1 week before, and 2 weeks after. Ok, that I can accept.
The other doctors use the qualifier "smoking *could* negatively impact" blah blah.

41% of Turkish men are smokers. Do you really think they stop smoking for 9 months for their transplant?! No way!

Meh. Go for it.
I don't smoke but I never stopped drinking beer, before and after the procedure. I've seen plenty of posts from smokers saying that they didn't skip a day. Some doctors won't operate unless you are on finasteride for 6 months and there are plenty of people that don't do take it.
IMO, waaay too much emphasis is given to smoking and drinking. Sure, the "no blood thinners" rule is valid, but the other stuff is silly.

Thanks for your answer. Appreciate it
your reply made me very happy that I can have this option. But why when I ask this question, people seem a lil bit skeptical? * Making another surgery after 5-10 years is a fantastic solution for the problem in my opinion*
People are skeptical because a transplant should be the last thing to do. Most people agree that finasteride and minoxidil should be used for at least 1 year before surgery.
Your plan is valid. However, it isn't the *best* plan without medicine.
The good news is that your donor is excellent so you might be able to have 3 transplants. My only recommendation is to go to a top doctor that can help you with this plan.

But I think i have a good donor area that if your scenario happened, I could do another surgery to compensate that. Is this a valid plan?
Some doctors require you to be on Finasteride, so some doctors may not operate on you. Without being on finasteride, you will probably lose more hair and will need a second transplant in 5-10 years. If possible, find a top doctor who is willing to implant into your existing hair.
But yes, a second transplant is a valid plan.

Thanks I will reach out. Would you recommend him over ASMED and HLC?
You're a short flight to some of the best clinics in the world. I was in a similar situation. I was in Saudi and went to HLC and got 4,200 grafts (link in my signature). I'm in the US now, but I would still recommend HLC, especially for larger procedures.

Beautiful work! As always!

I can't imagine any doctor saying you're not a good candidate. You have textbook MPB and a strong donor, and good beard/neck hair as a backup.
Bicer has done chest hair extractions (very poor option, imo), so her 'ethics' on your case doesn't make sense.
Turan and Gur are doing really good work at that price. I've seen plenty of very good results from them, That is the best plan as I see it.

Looking great! Density is much better and very natural. 👍

I would look at some more European options, those in Spain, Portugal and Belgium. Dr Freitas, Dr Vila, Dr Lorenzo & Dr Couto for Spain, Dr Ferreira & Dr Pinto for Portugal, and Dr Feriduni, Dr Mwamba & Dr Lapunzula for Belgium. You already mentioned Dr Bisanga who is a excellent choice !
Yup. The all stars.

If you're looking at the mirror multiple times a day, that's not going to change. Once it bothered me, it *always* bothered me.
Go for it! You'll immediately wish you did it sooner!

Looking really good. Donor still looks impressive considering how many grafts you have taken already ! Much more to come then 😊
Thanks! I'm hoping my temples come in soon. If they need a boost, I *might* get a third transplant... like 100-150 grafts to strengthen them. We'll see.

1 Year Update
Can't believe it's already been a whole year! I forgot about it actually, until Google Photos reminded me "1 year ago".
Without question, I'm thrilled about my decision to get a hair transplant and with the results from HLC. Totally life changing. It continues to make me happy every day.
How it started.
How it's going
No fibers or anything like that. My crown has some Dermmatch because it's been under 3 months since my second transplant on the crown. The donor is after almost 5,800 grafts total.

You are a Norwood 6 and Dr. Arika is the Queen of Mega Sessions so it should be a no brainer.
Agreed. And if you're Norwood 6, there's little reason for finasteride.... you've already lost most your native hair. Minoxidil would be a good idea, though.

Thank you buddy, do you know who of those above would do a BHT with the FUE ?
I'm sure they all do beard hair. I'd submit your photos to all of them for an evaluation and with BHT questions. Some have a waiting list 6 months out, so you need to plan in advance.

I wouldn't mind either country, I can even make a trip out of it, is either close in pricing to a leading doctor in Turkey like Pekiner ?
My goodness, absolutely.
Spain: Dr. Ximena Vila, Dr. Rafael de Freitas (a personal favorite), BHR Malaga (part of Dr. Bisanga's network)
Portugal: Dr. Bruno Pinto, Dr. Bruno Ferreira
I'd pick any of these over Pekiner. And they are about the same price 2.5 - 3.0 per graft.

@Melvin- Moderator can you share please ? I'm avoiding the ones the members are giving bad reviews like Aygin, Asmed, Cinic, etc .. I am in the process of contacting Pekiner, and Euginex. Please share as I want best results, money is not an issue. I screwed up once by listening to a relative's advice and went for Asli Tarcan.
Only Turkey? Can you go to Spain or Portugal?

It's your first transplant and your donor looks great. I also vote for De Freitas because I love his hairlines.
I would make this personal observation... I have not seen any examples of repair work by De Freitas. If you were going for your second/third procedure, needed to correct a poor transplant, or needed someone who could manage your donor, I would choose Bisanga. He does some hard cases (as does Dr. Mwamba). He also speaks English, not sure about De Freitas.
In your case, you can't fail with these two doctors.

In fact, I am about to have the operation with this doctor, but I hesitated because of your comments and your view of this doctor, so I am trying to do my research.
My friend, no doctor is 100%. Cinik has lots of success cases, I've seen them! But there's no denying that they have plenty of poor results, too.
Personally, I would go to FueCapilar (Dr. Turan or Dr. Gur) over Cinik. They limit to 1 or 2 patients per day and are in the same price range. BUT..... It's your head and your money, don't let anyone tell you which clinic to go to.

Are you trying to convince us that Cinik is a high quality clinic?
Or are you trying convince yourself?

Hair transplant outside of USA?
in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Posted · Edited by MachoVato
You want to be under the 2.7 Euro ($3) per graft level. In Turkey, HLC (where I went) and Dr. Pekiner are the only ones I would consider.
In Portugal, Dr. Pinto would be my choice. Dr. Ferriera is good but has a very long waiting list.
In Spain, Dr. Ximena Vila and BHR Malaga are within range. Dr. De Freitas is a hairline master but also has a very long wait list.
All Belgium clinics are too expensive, especially after the 21% VAT.
