  1. WEEK 6 UPDATE!!

Everything is still the same. I can’t wait for some growth still using all the same products except I’m using organic aloe Vera now as the last one had alcohol in and was drying out my scalp pretty bad, new product seems fine though. Had my first hair cut just a number 1 back and sides to see how the donor looked at 6 weeks what’s your thoughts guys? Other than that everything is fine just hoping and praying for some growth soon and for the crown to thicken you the longer it gets. 😂

If you can get some good quality green tea and make a spray for your scalp with it. I’m not one that believes in odd recommended treatments but the trust me the green tea soak will get rid of the dryness and improve the condition of your scalp.

I’ve got some green tea I will try this currently using organic jojoba oil to moisturise the scalp I’ve been in contact with my hair transplant surgeon and was told the same that it will not have damaged anything since minoxidil is always in a alcohol solution and is recommended post surgery.

Unless you roughly rubbed the aloe on your recipient area daily the first few weeks, then I might be concerned but otherwise you should be fine and as @Melvin-Moderator said, just apply it to your donor if needed.

Thank you for your reply I’ve been looking into this and I think I will be fine as minoxidil is often in a alcohol solution and Is notorious for drying out your scalp but that is recommended post hair transplant so I think I should be fine.

Nah I highly doubt you did any damage, I would lay off the aloe vera and just put it on your donor from now on.

Thanks for the reply Melvin I’ve ordered an organic aloe Vera with the only ingredients being Aloe barbadensis  Leaf Juice & Sodium benzoate & Potassium sorbate)

  5. Easy chaps I’m nearly 6 weeks post op and I’ve been using aloe Vera on my recipient and donor area from week one I’ve realised that my scalp have felt dry and looked in the ingredients of the aloe Vera brand I’ve bought and it contains alcohol I believe this is the culprit for drying my scalp. What I want to ask is do you think I could have done any damage? Many thanks in advance.

    Hey man,

The work looks great! I've been considering Dr. Demirsoy as well. One of very few that do good work for very reasonable price...

Wow, that's a huge difference in week 2 and 3! F*ck, I'm right now on week 3 and and I see shedding as well! Been enjoying my hair so far, but every time i brush with my hand through recipient area I see 3-4 hairs! It's truly heart braking! haha 😄

    Good luck man!

Thanks bud! Yes it’s heartbreaking 😂 roll on a few months when the growth has kicked in haha. All the best with your recovery dude 👍

I generally try and stay away from gel/wax type products because the wet/shine look amplifies the thinning on top. Find clays and pomades with a matte look generally seem to work better for guys who are thinning and maybe even some who have had a HT. Issue with clay is as they are a heavier and more gritty product, as @Dr. Glenn Charles pointed out, have  to be careful brushing/combing it through the hair to avoid getting tug in the hair. Need to ensure the product is really well emulsified in the hands and probably best to firstly distribute it gently and evenly using hands/fingers and then maybe using a larger paddle type brush to further distribute. Have noticed some clay's out there are more creamy in texture which helps avoiding that issue.... otherwise maybe a good pomade is a happy median.

In terms of actual natural styling products, difficult finding too many that are genuinely all natural and that also do a good job. If anyone has any recommendations, do chime in. Also agree with @Dr. Glenn Charles on trying to avoid products with alcohol in them.

Thanks for the info bud I think I’m going to go for clay when my hair starts to grow back in a few months but just take extreme caution when applying.

  9. WEEK 5 UPDATE!!

week 5 and time is flying by just trying forget about my hair transplant as this ugly duckling stage is diving me mad so I’m throwing myself into my work and just making sure I’m consistent with my meds. The crown still looks thin and the donor I think is suffering from shock loss what’s your opinions guys? Other than that everything is fine 👍 currently using proscar 1.25mg every third day, biotin 1000ug everyday, saw palmetto 500mg daily, aloe Vera gel twice a day on donor and recipient and alpecin double strength every other day. All the best chaps let me know what you think?👍

    Hi

All looks normal for 4-weeks, just saw this thread and the work and healing looks good, your donor looks good for just 4 weeks. Yes, it does look like shock loss in your crown but it still has some hair and looks fine in my opinion. Good luck with your progress!

Hey thanks for your reply mate 👍 and thank you for your kind words 👍

  11. WEEK 4 UPDATE!

all is well the shed has well and truly hit me hard 😂 but it was expected so it isn’t too bad. The crown is still looking really thin I’m hoping this could be a little bit of shock loss but I think I’m just trying to be optimistic if anyone could look at my pre surgery photos and then my crown now and chime in that would be greatly appreciated. I’ve renowned myself to the fact that I will more than likely have to get a second transplant in the crown area and that is fine but if I can thicken it up with the meds I’m using that would be a bonus! 😂 currently using. Proscar 1.25mg every 3 days, saw palmetto 500mg everyday, biotin 1000ug everyday, aloe Vera twice a day on recipient and donor and I’m now using alpecin double action caffeine shampoo every other day just to try it out and see if it helps at all.

all the best chaps any questions hit me up 👍

In regards to the shedding, it's like pulling a band-aid off. Might as well get it over with! 😂 The first few months after the HT are often the hardest, dealing with the "ugly duckling" phase and all, so might as well get it over with. Things look to be right on track!

And the crown is always the most challenging part, so it might be a good idea to mentally prepare to need a second procedure down the road while still hoping for the best. As a general rule, if you need one hair transplant, most likely you'll need a second one sometime down the line (given that hair loss is progressive and all).. And if you end up not needing one, it'll be a very welcomed, pleasant surprise.

Yes I totally agree I’m glad the shedding phase has started now I’m just one step closer to getting it over and done with 😂 and regarding the crown I have renowned myself to the fact I may need a second procedure in the future but if I don’t and it improves it’s a bonus 😂 thanks for your input bud all the best 👍

  13. WEEK 3 UPDATE!

shedding has started 😩 and it’s heartbreaking 😂 roll on a few months time when the regrowth starts currently using proscar 1.25mg every 3 days with not too bad side effects, aloe Vera 2 times a day to moisturise the scalp on the recipient and the donor, biotin 1000 ug once a day and washing with Johnson’s baby shampoo let me know what you think guys? my crown is also looking really thin 😩 I’m thinking I may need a second run in the future to get the crown done 😒

  14. Hey dude I’ll try answer these questions as best I can

    1. I have no idea for this dude I’m sorry as I had a Xanax and this put me to sleep during the extractions.

    2. Dr demirsoy advised for me to focus on the front and middle parts and look into doing the crown maybe at a later date he said I have a total of maybe 5000-6000 grafts in my donor.

    3. I’m not sure about this either dude but I’ll try to find out.

    4. Muzaffer dr demirsoy’s assistant said he used to do manual extraction and said that he sees no difference in results I believe he used to charge 2.15 euro per graft when doing manual extraction.

    hope this helps bud

Thanks for this mate. Yeah 99% of stuff I've heard of dr demirsoy has been positive. His results from previous hair transplants looks outstanding and as good as anything I've seen out there.  It's just a bit overwhelming with the amount of options out there for a hair transplant.  It will always be a leap of faith no matter who you end of going with. Just have to try and minimise the risk my doing my research (without melting my brain). Dr demirsoy is definitely my top contender. I'll make my decision this weekend then hopefully schedule the procedure for june if a slot is available

Your welcome bud 👍 I was the same as you there’s so much to take in but yes have a think about it mate and don’t stop researching you can never know enough 😂 but if you do decide to book with dr demirsoy you’ll be in safe hands all the best bud 👍

    Hi everyone,

I've decided to go for my hair transplant this summer and have been doing my research for a good surgeon.

My budget (including flights) is about 5000 euro.  I've chosen between the following 3 surgeons :

    - Dr Aslan (Hairmedico)

    - Dr Acar (Cosmediica)

    - Dr Demirsoy

All three Surgeons have written back to me saying I will require about 3000 grafts.

My question to you all is who would you choose from the above 3 doctors ? It is a big decision for me. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

    Thanks

    Marty

Hey dude I’ve just got back from surgery with dr Demirsoy I’m 15 days post op and all I can say is I’m more than happy with the service there’s 7 of us who’s in a group chat on WhatsApp who’s all been to dr Demirsoy or have an up coming surgery with him and this is the reason why I chose him because of the patient reviews. Don’t believe everything you read on here mate as some surgeons who are recommended by this forum have had really bad results and then surgeons like dr Demirsoy who has had consistent good results isn’t recommended 😂 take your time with this mate it’s something you don‘t want to rush into do plenty of research and regarding Manual punch and motorised punch I’ll attach a good video by dr ali emre karadeniz on this debate which makes a lot of sense remember dr kaan perkiner’s selling point is manual punch and I presume if he was to stop and start doing motorised punch he would lose a lot of custom because as I have stated this is his selling point and there is already a lot of other good surgeons doing motorised punch. All the best bud hope this helps 👍

Grt, that's super helpful. Good luck to you for the recovery and thanks so much! I will get in touch with them now - wish me luck :)

All will be well mate I’m in a group chat on WhatsApp with 7 other people who all have been to dr demirsoy or who have upcoming hair transplants with him your more than welcome to join just drop me a message if your interested 👍

Hey @Bigjab, how are things? I was considering going with Dr. Demirsoy for a transplant based on all the reviews here including yours. Would you be comfortable recommending him? And how much did your procedure cost - just curious? Thanks!

Hey dude yes I would definitely recommend dr demirsoy you will be in safe hands with him for sure i was looking for the right doctor for a long time but it was the patient reviews on this forum that swayed my thinking towards dr demirsoy and Muzaffer his assistant is a true gent I can’t speak any higher of him. I paid 1.25 euro per graft and had 3030 so I paid all together £4060 including accommodation transfers £3787 for the procedure and I also tipped muzzafer because of how good he had been. Hope this helps bud 👍

  19. WEEK 2 UPDATE!

over the moon with how it’s looking at the moment everyone just thinks I’ve just shaved my head as the redness has pretty much gone. I’m still using aloe Vera on the donor but also using on the recipient now for itchiness. I’m hoping I’m one of the lucky ones who doesn’t shed the transplanted hairs is that too much to ask for? 😂 if not I’m dreading the shed as I’m loving having hair haha all the best chaps any questions hit me up 👍 I will attach photos!

I really am impressed with Dr Demirsoy's work, especially the natural and conservative restoration of the hairline. I've seen way too many examples from Turkey of FUE mega-sessions wasting way too many grafts on unrealistic, overly aggressive, top-loaded hairlines. Yours looks aesthetically perfect! Best of luck healing and growing - you should have an excellent result.

I totally agree bud his work is brilliant and thank you means a lot 👍
