I can see that his native hair a little longer than transplanted hair and some TH are not grown at all (they look like black heads).
It is ok or that means that the tranplanted FU are going to die?

A lad who went to demirsoy the week before says you don’t see the hairs before you remove the scabs so you don’t know wether they have not grown bud until you remove the scabs hope this helps 👍

Those appear to be crusts/scabs that are forming - and completely normal. Make sure you to follow your surgeon's protocol in how to care for your scalp and keep it clean, which will help minimize this. You'll reach a point in his instructions where you can start washing more vigorously, which will also help - but until then, just hang tight. The work looks amazing.

Thank you for your advice mate 👍

Looks great, as usual from Demirsoy.

Did he give you a reason for not wanting to extract more than 3030 grafts ?  Your donor looks pretty solid so I would assume you could get more from it, but am also aware that pictures can be deceiving.

I just worry that its all that's available without over harvesting, and you're not on any hair loss prevention medication either.

I will eventually get back on hair loss prevention bud but which one I’m not sure I’m still weighing my options up atm and he said I have available maybe 5000-6000 donor grafts total so said to leave the rest incase I needed them in the future.

  4. Hey chaps I’m writing about my experience with Dr Erkan Demirsoy on the 16th January I am 2 days post op and I’m going to be posting photos once a week. I had 3030 grafts which I was happy with my estimate was 4000 but the doctor was not happy about extracting anymore than he did. I am 25 and have been losing my hair since 16 I am currently taking no medication post op I have previously taken finasteride but had bad side effects so not keen on the idea of jumping back on that and also I have used minoxidil but am not keen on using that again as I have read about the hairs being ‘minoxidil dependant’. There is already plenty of reviews on here on dr demirsoy talking about the ins and outs of the surgery and the procedure so I won’t go over it all again I’m on here just to post my photos every week and get you guys opinions and any advice going so here goes... 👍

Hope everything is going well regarding your aftercare of your hair transplant it’s 9 days till I go really starting to dawn on me now lol and getting really nervous but if I tell you the truth I’m more nervous about flying haha I’m a terrible flyer and I’m also worried about the fact that I have a stop at Frankfurt on the way home and worried about more chance of bumping my head but also can not wait to get the whole hair transplant journey started how did you find the sleeping mate with the neck pillow? All the best 👍

Hahahahaha Hello @Bigjab .  Great question.  Im hoping to deal with it by forgetting about it and thinking positive that a few months wont be long passing by. As I knew before I set out that this would not be the nice part. Its a short time pain for a long term gain.

What I could do is possibly let my doner grow without cutting it short and this would help cover the patchy areas where their might be shock loss. I could add concealer s to help thicken the hair up also.I have never used consealers before.

I wont be looking in the mirror every time I pass it to notice how ugly it might look, Im just going to get on with life and try and forget about it. Its a short time pain for a long term gain. The months wont be long passing by.

    ................Paddy........

Yes paddy keep your chin up the months will soon fly by and you’ll soon have the result you want mate all being well fingers crossed for you mate 🤞🏼

    TOP TIPS :

MY DONER AREA IS FEELING ITCHY , IM NOT SURPRISED AS I CAME ACCROSS THIS INFORMATION DURING MY RESEARCH. BEFORE I HAD MY HT I BOUGHT ALOE VERA GEL . I HAVE BEEN PUTTING THIS ON MY DONER AREA AND IT IS GIVING GREAT RELIEF FROM THE ITCHING.  IT IS REALLY REALLY SOOTHING AND REFRESHING AND WILL ALSO HELP THE HEALING PROCESS.

Good tip paddy I’ll be doing the same once Ive had mine done. What is your protocol for any possible shock loss? As I hear finasteride can help with this but you and me both are not taking finasteride because of it’s bad side effects. 👍🏼

  8. Ill be watching this really closely paddy. Thanks for all the advice you’ve given me you really are very knowledgeable about this I’ve sent you photos of my before and after 6 months trying to block dht the natural way without finasteride and also without minoxidil as both of these gave me bad side effects and I believe the natural way is working fine. I go to dr Erkan demirsoy on the 16th January so I’m starting to really get nervous now. All the best bud 👍🏼

Hello Bigjab. No its not compulsory to use medication at all for your HT. Believe it or not,  many patients do not use medication especially older patients. Medication will not do anything for your newly transplanted hair as that will grow and get stronger over a period of time anyway.

You only take medication to strenghten the hair and help maintain your hair thats not transplanted. But as you are well aware medicatìon can have considerable side effects for some.  When you stop taking the medication if your health circumstances change later in life your back to square one. You may lose that hair anyway.  So in my opinion for the long term without any major health risks you are much safer to use Biotin along with Aloe Vera which are well known for strenghtening your hair from the roots .Multivitamins from HAIRFLUENCE are especially formulated with multivitamins including folic acid to maintain and strengthen your existing hair also indroduce Saw Palmatto and use Nizoral shampoo to keep your scalp clean for that blood flow and vital oxygen around your scalp  . Maybe drink green tea also which blocks DHT.  Live a reasonable healthy lifestyle especially before and after your HT and you will see outstanding results as much as anyone taking medication would.

    All the best Bigjab.

    ......Paddy.......

Thanks buddy for that! I’m going to follow that to the T! Thanks for all the help I’m really grateful brother 👍🏼🙏🏻

I definitely recommend Dr. Cinik, he was one of the key people of COSMEDICA success which is known as one of the best HT clinics in Istanbul lead by Dr. Acar.

His representatives very informative and the exclusive package is outstanding with no rate differences between scalp and beard hair if needed.

I am actually going to have my final HT with him in August after extensive research about affordable honest Turkish HT clinics.

Thanks for your opinion mate what’s your opinion on cinik having 6-8 patients a day? And the fact that it’s heavily tech run that’s the only thing that’s pushing me more towards dr demirsoy as he only has one patient per day and performs incisions and extractions himself

Hello Bigjab. Yes its very important to keep your scalp clean and free from a build of dryness as this can restrict badly needed blood flow to your grafts on your scalp.

Nizoral shampoo is excellent at kepping dryness on your scalp at bay a couple of times a week . Make sure to use a good shampoo and conditoner in between that is not hard on your hair. Even Baby shampoo is really good and not hard on your hair at all. For conditinor after you wash your hair towel dry your hair first and put a  good conditioner into your hair and leave for 3 to 5 minutes to lock that moisture into your hair and this will help it from drying out. Wash out with luke warm water. Hot water is not good for your hair and this dries it out .

Drinking Green Tea can be a natural way to block DHT also .

    .............Paddy..........

    ..

Thanks for that paddy 👍🏼 Hope your well mate and yes I know the steps I need to do now to try and get my existing hair in tip top condition can I also ask you is it compulsory to use finasteride and minoxidil after a hair transplant as I see a lot of people doing this and if not what would be the repercussions on not using both? One again thanks for all your help and wisdom bud 🙏🏻

I haven’t seen any patient posted results for Dr. Demirsoy, I’ve heard great things about Dr. Cinik and he was almost recommended by our community, but his packages go against our values. That said, Bhatti and Yaman are both very solid surgeons.

Never take what one person says as gospel, not even mine. Do your own research, spend sometime on our forum and look up real patient reviews. No body is going to give you the answers you need to research for yourself.

Thanks for your feedback bud 👍🏼 The research continues.

Hello bigjab. I notice from the pictures you posted you have still plenty of hair you want to hold onto . If you dont want to risk side effects associated with medication there are many great ways to help to strengthen and maintain and even regrow your weaker hair .

Aloe Vera organic , Which you can drink or massage into your scalp.  Great for hair .   Biotion in the form of capsules. Check out HAIRFLUENCE which have great tablets that are packed with all the nutrients thats required for great hair. Folic acid is another great  addition to maintain your hair.

I hope this helps....All the best.

    .......Paddy.....

Thanks for that paddy your a saint I’m going to look into these as your right I do have good hair that I want to keep and strengthen but the strong dht blockers arnt for me due to side effects what are your views on ketoconazole shampoo?such as nizorol bud as a topical dht blocker as I believe not much goes systemic from this.

@Bigjab I just sent you a PM but I'll sort of copy/paste that message here to help others.

Anyway, as my friend @HLPToronto said I made an extensive research and I am a sort of mental when it comes to chose the best product or Dr.

    - Demirsoy, 80%+ of the cases present on here, turkish, german, italian forums are positive to very positive. He does one patient per day and perform himself the most critical parts of the surgery. Great communication with his patient advisor. Affordable. Contacted about 15 former patients privately, 14 gave an extremely positive feedback.

    - Bhatti, I almost went with him but lack of communication and his very bad attitude in his replies made me wait. Very low density in most of his cases. Too many marketing users everywhere, it looks all made up. Similar cost to Demirsoy.

    - Yaman, similar cost of the above two, very incosistent, some good job, many other bad results. He is a gamble. Can't remember if he performs the surgery about himself.

Being a member of IAHRS or other associations from my understanding is just bullshit. To be members they have to pay a fee. What's the point? Being able to go to a conference once on every blue moon. On my opinion, it's purely marketing.

Cinik, is one of those chep bets you can make. He is a gamble exactly like Erdogan but a least cheaper.

If you are extremely tight on budget, maybe. I hate tech clinics so I am against it.

I am not saying Demirsoy is the n. 1, in my opinion he is the n.1 in that price range. There are many other great surgeons that charge 5times more though.

At the end of the day, my opinion is that the surgery is nothing astronomical, it's a pretty straight forward procedure, simple I would say. That is why I can't justify clinics like Hasson & Wong charging about 8times more than Demirsoy....what for!? I felt very offended when i got their quotation!!! They are good but honestly It is a mistery to me why patients go to them paying that price...

Other thing, if a Doctor is recognised on this website/forum, it doesn't mean he's good if you know what I mean. Do your research, speak to real patients, that's the way.

    I hope it helps.

    Cheers

Your a saint! Once again thanks for the info brother so glad I started this post learnt and took in so much I’m just grateful 👍🏼🙏🏻

I had it last week, 4265 grafts - I'll make a post down the line when I've some progress under my belt. One thing I found helpful was looking for people who had similar hairloss to myself and viewing their results from the Dr to see realistic expectations.

Demirsoy mainly has German/Austrian clients i'm told so there are a lot of posts on non english speaking forums, for example:

    https://www.alopezie.de/foren/transplant/index.php?t=thread&frm_id=31&SQ=&

Everyones situation is different, definitely do a lot of research on doctors and take it all in before making your decision.

Thanks for that mate 👍🏼 All the best with your growth now just a waiting game

Fair enough, I don't think it's that bad.

I made contact via email but believe they are currently closed for holidays. They have a very honest and ethical approach which speaks volumes from the posts and threads I've read.

I agree it is not that bad everything seems to be swaying me more towards him by the looks of things. When is your hair transplant? How many grafts have you been estimated? Sorry for all the questions bud you know how it is 😂 just wanna know every little detail haha

Can you show me some of Demirsoy's bad results? I've seen quite a few from Bhatti recently but I think the threads have been removed now.

shouldn’t a have said results I meant result* that’s the only one I can find which actually makes me think of going with him more than the others due to Yaman’s being quite bad poor growth results Can I ask you how you was in contact with demirsoy? Was it through WhatsApp or email?
