  1. I have to use a battery powered beard trimmer as haven’t got any proper clippers! the camera hasn’t picked them up well but there are lots of little ones starting to come through. Wasn’t really expecting much new growth u til 4 months or so. so anything sooner is a bonus!
  2. I’ve taken a few pictures this morning, I was waiting until the three month mark to post updates. I am now 10.5 weeks post procedure. I am still in the ugly duckling stage, although hair is starting to grow nicely. When I run my fingers through my hair, I can feel lots more hairs coming through, almost like stubble at this stage. I’ve tried to get some pictures that show this, however I’m not sure how clear they turn out. I will post some more pictures when I hit the three month mark, but would appreciate any feedback at this stage. I have given myself a rather questionable Covid haircut on the sides, so please forgive the uneven back and sides! (I have a new found respect for barbers!!)
  3. Looking good mate and only 6 months in. I’m currently 7 weeks post FUE with Dr Arshad. This has made me excited to hit the 6 month mark!
  4. Who was the Dr? you have not yet advised on this. it may help others out, or potentially others may be in the same situation
  5. On what basis....? based on the fact you had a failed HT in the past? Does that mean that all UK Dr’s are unable to give good results? I respectfully disagree. I note that you previously posted that there is only 1 Dr worth visiting in Turkey- also not correct. (There are lots of very bad clinics in Turkey but more than just 1 good option there)
  6. 6 week mark hair is growing fast, not expecting much in the way of new growth yet but I can definitely see new hairs starting to grow- (almost like stubble)
  7. 1 month post op Shedding still going! Scalp is dry in places but other than that all as it should be at this stage...I think?!
  8. After 7 months the majority of people are starting to see results, although full results are expected after 12months (18 months in some cases) Everyone is different and many factors come into play- such as how extensive is your current hair loss? Are you on meds? What are your expectations and are they realistic? it’s worth looking through the many results on here. There are lots of documented journeys where people post their results at various stages. I’m sure you will find lots. That should help to give you an idea.
  9. 3 weeks post Op.Still some rednessTenderness in donor area has gone.Starting to shed but hoping the next few months brings some growth!
  10. Day 12 scabs are pretty much all off now. Shedding has started I believe, continue to see hairs after my morning wash, although to be expected. Donor area feels fine with only minor tenderness if touched.
  11. I’m using a jug of water and slowly pouring over my head as opposed to using the shower head. Again, this was for fear that the shower may be too powerful

  13. Thanks @JohnAC71 Can I be a little more firm when washing now? I am currently being very gentle and owing only the tips of my fingers for fear of causing damage.
  14. 10 days post op.Now had 3 washes.I am Noticing hairs coming out when washing with the scabs, but this is to be expected. Some minor remains of scabs on recipient area, but most scabs have gone and starting to look normal (ish)I would welcome any thoughts from those in the know.Everything is as it should be at this stage?
  15. Thank you. was sure it’s nothing to worry about but easier said than done. Appreciate your help.
  16. Just did my first wash at day 7 as per Dr’s advice. pics attached. I’m expecting to shed so not overly concerned, more looking for reassurance I think, but I did note one of the hairs that came out looks like a graft- no blood whatsoever, and I’m sure this is normal but would appreciate any input. many thanks
  17. 36 hours post surgery:slight swelling on side of face, but this is as to be expected.Minimal bleeding on recipient area and donor is looking better already.
  18. Background:37 years old & have been suffering MPB gradually since around 25years old.I have spent the last 2 years religiously reading various forums to gain an insight into hair restoration.I was initially hesitant to have a procedure in the UK as I have read so many posts advising that the UK just isn’t on a par with Dr’s in Europe.I planned to to Brussels and have the procedure done by Dr Bisanga- consulted with him and his assistant, Hilde, who were fantastic and very helpful.....Then Borris told us all we couldn’t leave the UK!I was keen to have the work done during lockdown.2 as it’s easier to hide away during the recovery stage- however this would not compromise my priority of quality. Price was never a deciding factor for me.Neither were ‘celebrity’ endorsed clinics or clinics with fancy Instagram accounts and clever marketingI then started to read and see numerous positive results and feedback for the Hair Dr on various forums. These were real people posting on forums, not pictures posted on social media adverts. So I thank all that have posted on here and other forums. (This is why I’ve decided to post myself, hopefully it will help someone else)I booked an initial call to get a feel for them and was impressed from the start- very informative, and not at all sales driven. This professionalism was consistent with every call and interaction I had - so based on my research, the answers they gave me and a general gut feeling I booked my surgery.Day of Surgery:Arrival 7am, greeted by Adam who made me feel welcome and was a professional in person as he has been on my calls.I met with Dr Arshad and Dr Hamza where we discussed the hairline and result I wanted to achieve.Dr Arshad took his time here and changed the design a few times to ensure it was right for my features. Then I had my hair shaved and went down to surgery.Dr Hamza injected me with the anaesthetic- there is no getting around this, it’s not pleasant and does hurt but the pain soon goes and Dr Hamza was great.Dr Arshad then used a .8 punch to punch the grafts, this was pain free (but a strange experience) and took a few hours.Next the technicians removed the grafts, and separated them. This took a few hours, and I think they were also doing this whilst Dr A was punching.I did take a break for lunch at some point- kindly provided by the clinic.I had initially planned to have 4000 grafts, however Dr Arshad advised that I had a good donor area and managed to get 4,817 grafts.Singles- 971Doubles- 2,531Triples- 1,319Dr Hamza prepared me for the incisions by administering more anaesthetic, again a bit painful but he was great- this was not unexpected and an unavoidable part of the process.Dr Arshad then made all the incisions, adding more anaesthetic when required! No real pain during this process. The technicians then implanted the hairs- this was the longest part of the day- maybe 6/7 hours but was pain free and I simply watched Netflix. They were great and made sure I was ok at all times.Dr Arshad checked in a number of times during this stage, as did Julia (who was also great during the day)Finished up at around 20:30ish when Dr Arshad checked the work to ensure he was happy. He ave me a de-brief and talked me through the meds and after care process.Nice easy to follow instructions on a chart so I can easily keep track.Back to the hotel by 21:30, where I slept surprisingly well!Hotel was recommended by the clinic and even had a discount code provided to me.In summary, my experience has been great right from the initial call.Whilst it’s far too early to judge the outcome of the procedure, so far I have only good things to say about the clinic and all the staff I met throughout the day.I’ve looked at 100’s of results online (as I’m sure many of us do as we obsessively research clinics and results!) and I think things are looking good, but would of course appreciate any feedback from you gentlemen.Pics of pre and post surgery attached
  19. Hi all I’ve been following GMH on social media and they are really pushing their services- prices look very good and some of the results also seem to be good. Dr Levent Acar is the surgen they use- I understand he has previously worked elsewhere in Turkey. can anyone advise if Dr Levent Acar is a good choice? Can’t find too much on him. many thanks
  20. Hi all, does anyone have experience in FUE treatment in Dubai? A friend recently had 3000 grafts completed in 1 day. (At a fraction of European costs). His post op pics look good but I’d never heard of the clinic he visited, nor have I read any reviews of surgeries in the UAE. Does anyone have any experience in Dubai? The clinic my friend visited was called American Aesthetics . thanks in advance.
  21. Hey all, After lots of research, I have decided that I will get a HT next year. (Ran out of holiday at work so will have to be early next year) i am looking at FUE, 2,500 grafts.1500 at the front and 1000 on the crown, as previously advised at a consultation with Dr Shahmalak in Manchester. after further research, I have now decided that I would like to go with either Raghu Reddy or Christian Bisanga. (Based on results I have seen on here) my question, is who is likely to produce the best results? Many pics I see are on the front and not much on the crown so am reaching out to you guys for some adevice? many thanks in advance.
  22. Hey all, I’m after some advice please- I am looking to get FUE, 2500 grafts and am based in the UK. I am looking to get 1000 in the crown & 1500 at the front. I’m close to booking with Dr Reddy- based on his results and a previous consultation, however I have also been looking at Dr Koray Erdogan based in Turkey and Dr Bisanga based in Belgium. I had not previously considered going outside off the UK, (having heard of lots of horror stories etc) however, having said that, Erdogan and Bisanga’s work looks good and whilst price isn’t a deciding factor for me, both are considerably cheaper than Dr Reddy. Can anyone help? Who is likely to give the best result? Thanks in advance guys.
