Thanks @MC10298
Are you saying that you don’t think enough grafts were packed into the hairline?

I had over 4500 in one session.(with a recommended surgeon on here)

If it’s FUT then yes it’s possible to do large numbers of grafts in a day. Lots of the elite clinics will do this with no issues.
With FUE a lot would be down to if it was automated or manual. I see around 2000 grafts or so with automated and then 3500 approx for automated as the more common numbers.
The hair mills doing ridiculously high numbers in a day is the danger zone.
Hi @JohnAC71
what would you consider a high number in a day for FUE typically seen by the hair mills?
thanks

I would expect more at this stage , particularly with your hairline.
Having zoomed in on your hairline progress , I think it is likely you’ll need a second pass to add to the density, not a huge cause for concern . . Sometimes these things happen.
Crown development does tend to come on more so in the latter months.
Thankyou for sharing your update, and please don’t be discouraged by my feedback, I just think it is important to be transparent on these boards. As I say - not a huge concern, I’d also be keen to request feedback from your dr and for him to post a reply on here.
Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate all feedback. Positive or negative. Given the number of grafts I had, I was hoping the very least the Hairline would be reasonably dense.
The clinic have advised me that my results are on plan and in line with what they would expect to see at this stage. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt at this stage, whilst I appreciate some individuals obtain maximum results at circa seven months, I’m totally aware that others take at least 12 before results are seen.I am therefore holding out full judgement until the 12 month stage at least. I am however slightly concerned given the number of patients that are awaiting results at this stage of their journey, all from the same surgeon.
Fingers crossed for the next three months, I will endeavour to update the forum and give an honest opinion at each stage of my journey.

Hi I've been meaning to update on the donor area and managed to take some pictures. The donor area I suspect is still the same. It all depends on how you have your hair cut. I've let it grow longer than I usually have it. I used to have it cut to a 0.5 and now I think its more of a grade 2 or 3 which helps to hide any patches that may be there. The lighting probably isn't the best so I will try take some more in natural light and update soon.
Hard to tell from those pictures as very blurry and dark.
do you have any in the light?
have you spoken to the Dr about your concerns?
-
Fair point in relation to how we heal as individuals

It would be great to understand when a donor is classed as over harvested as opposed to patchy?

Hey @BA-FUE
hows the donor looking?
keen to understand what they have said in relation to the donor.
this picture you shared previously did look like possible over harvested as if shock loss you would have expected this to be gone by month 7

6 month update.
Progress is happening- I’ve spoken with the Dr and they advise that most growth usually happens from 6 months onwards so am hoping it now gets really exciting!
(Frustrating when you see others with almost full results at 6 months, but I get that everyone is different)
Crown is starting to fill in but also appreciative of the fact this takes much longer.
I would welcome honest feedback from others as to how it’s progressing- positive or negative.
I've attached pics with and without product (just hair gel- no fibres or concealer) to give a full picture as to where I currently am.- 1

Do you have any pre surgery pics and immediately after?
That should help give a view on progress.
im 5 months post FUE and definitely seeing more growth each day so would have expected some growth at 7 months.
and who was the surgeon?

I would say you are right on track. At only just over four months there is plenty of growth yet to come. I like the hairline. Are you on any meds for this? Thanks for sharing and I look forward to following future updates!
I’m hoping there it lots more to come, nee hairs coming through each day so exciting!

Hairline is coming on and can see the diff from the last post, month 5/6 are going to be good. Do you know what your graft distribution was, how many in the front/mid/crown?
I’m hoping the next few months will bring lots of new hairs - just in time for summer!
im not too sure of the distribution in terms of graft count per area. I have uploaded my immediate pre-op pics, so that may give you an idea!

I was waiting until the barbers open till I could get a proper haircut before giving you an update. However since you asked- attached are my four-month pictures. New hairs appear to be popping through every day. I’ve tried to take some close-up pictures so you can see some of the smaller house coming through.
Does anyone on here know how long new hairs continue to come through for?(I appreciate that the full result is not visible until 12 months, but I’m keen to know when all of the new hair will have popped through(

I would say 5 months onwards as the density comes and it looks more and more natural
Sounds like I’m about a month away from that point!
Did you see lots of new hairs popping through from month 5?

I’m currently three months post surgery with Dr Arshad and whilst my final result will not be seen for around nine months, so far so good.
I have made a detailed review on this forum. Feel free to read for a full breakdown of how the day went.
In terms of the professionalism of everyone involved at the hair doctor and the aftercare, I have nothing but good things to say. They have been absolutely fantastic so far. I would highly recommend

Now at 11 weeks
Growing well, hopefully the start of new growth now!
I can feel more and more hairs coming through, still feels a little bit like stubble.
I can definitely see them better with my naked eye. I wasn’t expecting any real growth until around month 3 or 4 so anything before then is a bonus -
