  1. Couple more photo's today just to get another view. Got one of those magnifying mirrors and can actually see other tiny little hairs at least at the front of the hairline coming through so should still continue to thicken out over the coming months
  2. Covering wise yeah i'd say about 40%, perhaps a little less. Since it's harder to distinguish individual hairs now it's a little more difficult to notice what's going on exactly apart from just seeing the overall thickness of it. Hopefully more hairs will continue to grow so it thickens up but at least at this point, it's already making it easier to style my hair. Just hope it will carry on so I can style it however I like without having to worry but I have faith considering most peoples biggest improvements seem to be over the coming months ahead rather than the ones i've been through so far. Wish me luck!
  3. So it's pretty much 4 months since the transplant so thought post some more images. The image with the orange head (due to lighting) is last year around August time so can see the difference. If I were putting product in my hair to style it, it would certainly still be too thin but it's getting close to the point now that without anything in it, I no longer have to have mini comb overs to hide the receding hair line. Hopefully still a long way to go with improvements but happy it's starting to thicken out. Not that I would recommend it as a good practice to follow for hair growth but I have noticed something peculiar that has happened on four occasions now. Over the last few months I have noticed almost overnight improvements after having nights out where I have been drinking, partying etc fairly heavily. On a day to day basis I do not notice improvements that much but hand on my heart, when I have been out celebrating, and feel rough the next day, the following day I have noticed significant growth? I am not suggesting I will be going out partying constantly but be interested to know if anyone knows of reasoning behind this? Doubt it has really been studied if what I am picking up on here is actually something and not just an amazing coincidence 4 times in a row...
  4. Hi, If still researching I decided to go with him back in December after spending a few months weighing up the pro's and cons. In terms of how everything went with the trip, it was handled very well and the guy who looks after you, Muzaffer has a very relaxing way about him so didn't feel massively nervous. Although he's originally from Turkey, he grew up in Germany hence why they target a German audience mainly but he speaks English as well so it weren't an issue. I'm only three and a half months in to my hair growth so can't give you answers on final results but so far things are looking good and from what i've read, its looking like I should end up with a good result. I'm updating the following post regularly if you wanted to check out; http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/188620-hair-transplant-dr-erkan-demirsoy-1664-grafts.html
  5. So i've had to stop taking Finasteride as it was seriously affecting my sex drive (which fortunately has started to come back) and now the Minoxidil has caused health issues I can't live with so had to stop using as well. Therefore now just on the Biotin but i'm very much under the impression side effects from that are non-existent since just helps with speeding up hair growth. Is good to see my hair is growing pretty quickly as can see some difference since last post just this month. Fingers crossed I will still get the growth spurt/filling out around months 6-9 like others have had even without the other medication.
  6. Soon coming up to 3 months so thought post some further images. Nice to see there's hair growth in the areas and I fully understand it will thicken out but at this point still hard to believe it will end up looking like natural full'ish hair in those areas. Since people suggest they tend not to start growing until after month 3 however, guess so far it's a good result as my temples were completely bald before. My hair naturally grows left to right hence why one side looks pretty much covered and as it's getting longer it's harder to take an image of that side without the other hairs covering it. Obviously the other side is more concerning for myself anyway since although don't want a comb over ideally, at least my natural hair automatically hides that side while the other it grows away from hence why i hope that fills out ideally but will have to wait and see by how much... Will post further images next month.
  7. That's what I thought. My hair everywhere else is also extremely thick so i'm hoping once they get going they'll look natural and I wont be limited on the hair styles I can go with... Everything is tightly crossed in the hope it works out! Only two months and ten days in currently so very early days still but if i look extremely closely it looks like some hairs are sprouting that weren't there a couple weeks ago so that must be a good sign that things are at least happening. Even so, at this point it's still very difficult to believe it will grow back as well as people suggest it should as it only looks marginally better than before the procedure but as end results are miles off currently I need to just keep the faith...
  8. Just reached two months now so here are some further images. If wondering why i'm sweating so much, it's not sweat had just used the minoxidil spray...
  9. Thanks for the responses, I'm just coming up to 2 months. Fortunately it's almost settled down completely over the course of yesterday without using anything which is a relief.
  10. Hi, Hope someone can respond quickly to this as I have a pimple that's just appeared at the front of my HT area and was wondering what I should do? I've been washing my hair daily but now have just noticed it, I will stop using using Minoxidil until it's gone. Is there anything else i can do to get it to go quickly? My partner has some salicylic acid which she uses on spots and was wondering if i could use that or if that would be a bad thing to do?
  11. I had some spare time and won't see any difference next week so here you go... Just in case it weren't obvious in the original photo's, I was completely bald at the front half of the recipient areas so those long hairs growing there must be very healthy transplants. Hopefully it's a sign the rest will grow back well (fingers crossed!!!)
  12. I'll do some next weekend as it will be 2 months since surgery. To be honest, not really any change since last images but from what I understand that's completely normal. I wont be seeing anything happen until at least month 3 at the earliest by the sounds of it but it is rather difficult to believe it will all grow back at the moment, even when you've seen plenty of other people go through exactly the same process. Still keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a good result!
  13. Hi guys, Expect i'm probably worrying about nothing but wanted to get people's opinions on what your hair should look like after they have all fallen out prior to them growing back in a few months time. I'm one and a half months in now, my shedding seems to have stopped and where most of my hair have fallen out, I still have little stuble growths. There is a patch however at the front of my hair line that I can no longer see any follicles and was wondering if that meant that area has had it and that will be bald or if the follicles could still be living under the skin and just cant see currently anything? Have attached pics and highlighted the patch i'm referring to. Any words of wisdom welcome, even if bad news as just want to know where I stand... Thank you!
  14. Shedding has slowed down massively now and only perhaps see one or two hairs falling out a day if that. Expect be a while till post anymore pictures as it's the dormant time coming up so wish me luck!
  15. Ah, thank you very much for that, answers the question perfectly and never knew that so learnt something interesting too!
  16. Hi everyone, I've got a question as can't seem to find an answer to this. AFter a hair transplant I understand the hairs stay dormant for up to 4 months once the original hair falls out but I was wondering if someone could explain to me why the hair stays dormant for such a long period of time? If the root pushes the old hair out, why do you not see growth pretty much straight away rather than months down the line? Currently losing the transplanted hairs as coming up to a month after surgery and i'm not worried as I know this is meant to happen but just wondering why some patches look completely clear of hair now... Thanks in advance!
  17. So 24 days since surgery and starting to notice a significant amount of the hairs falling out. Can see clearly however that at least a couple of lone hairs are clearly growing straight away as they are just as long as the rest of my hair which is good sign I guess. I've been on Finasteride for quite a while now, been taking Biotin since surgery and have just started the Minoxidil spray a couple days ago as instructed by the doctor. Said it was fine as long as not too red up there still which is calming down now so guess it's okay. I know I mustn't use hot water on the area for at least two months (or sauna etc) but if there's any other advice people can give me to try and get a successful outcome i'd be very appreciative to hear!
  18. Almost 2 weeks after surgery and all healed up. Couple marks left from the darker scabs and a little bit of redness in the recipient area but other than that, looking all good. The next phase of the hair falling out will be scary i'm sure although apparently this doesn't happen to everyone which I hope will be the case for me (although sounds as if unlikely). Next post will be a bit further down the line either when the hair falls out or there's something significant to show.
  19. Thanks for the info, every bit extra puts my mind at rest so thank you for the response.
  20. Already on the Biotin, plus taking my Finasteride and will be using my Minoxidil spray in a few days once everything has fully healed up. It's funny I thought i'd be relaxed at this point but obviously the concern of if it was all worth it is kicking in. Thanks for your messages, good to hear from someone in a similar situation
  21. Puts my mind at rest thanks. I have thick hair everywhere else apart from my receding temples so when they said they were mainly 3's and 4's with a few 5's but hardly any 1's or 2's I was obviously pleasantly happy but not overly surprised. After taking the scabs off it looks fairly sparse but after using my partners camera phone (pretty decent phone) and zooming right in you can actually make out at least some of them are definitely more than one hair coming out. Guess patience and time will tell! Need to stop being overly critical on everything as it's done now and i'm sure it will work out fine but especially during the early stages, just difficult not to constantly be checking it and worrying about the final result!
  22. Hi, Recently had a hair transplant and apparently most of the grafts had 3-4 hairs/roots within. I'm now at the stage where the scabs have been removed and from what I can see, only 1 hair sticking out of each hole so to speak. I assume this is normal but I wondered if someone could explain to me how it all works as in my laymen mind I would assume you would see all the hairs popping out? Thanks in advance!
  23. Few! Got a little concerned as have been struggling to remove the scabs on day 7 and 8 but fortunately day nine they have come away quite easily when rinsing the lotion off. Will remove the last few bits tomorrow but almost past the hard part and the rest will be out of my hands so no point in stressing from this point onwards!
