  1. Hello HerculesTang, The patient in not on med and he did not have any hair transplant before. The existing hair help the naturality of hairline as you have noticed but in HDC we always aim at natural looking hairline and total result in general.
  2. This is a 32 year old patient who wanted to fill up his thinning area in the hairline and top. He is a Norwood class 3 and HDC has transplanted 2900 FUE grafts. You will notice that the density for the front 1 inch was slightly higher than behind, due to the fact that he has some existing hair. You will also notice that the transplanted hairline is slightly higher than his existing one so some of his thinning hair stayed intact, in front of the transplanted ones. We present the post op, immediately after, 3 days after and 1 week after, for you to notice the healing of donor and recipient. The result is 8 months after and it looks very natural so that you can’t tell that this patient underwent a hair transplantation surgery. Regards, Giuseppe Before Immediately after Donor 3 days after 1 week after 8 Months post op
  3. This is a valid question, in fact when we believe is necessary we tend to leave the middle area untouched. The factors taking into consideration are the following: • Obviously the first factor is the density of the middle area. If it is dense enough adding hair may cause shock loss. • The miniaturization of the existing hair. Sometimes the density may be high but the hair are miniaturized which means that this hair do not give enough coverage to match the transplanted hair that will growth around it. In this case we may take the decision to cover the middle area so the the result will be homogenous in all transplanted area. • The age of patient. This factor may be consider differently in a patient who is 25 years old than somebody who is 40 years old. For a patient of 40 who’s propensity to lose hair is less than a patient of 25, we may decide that it is better not to touch this area. • The donor capability. For patient with poor donor it is better not to touch the middle area if the density is sufficient. We may transplant the surrounded area with less density too. These are the main factors. Another case similar is the following:
  4. This was one day surgery for 2250 grafts. This patient, who is 32 years old, wanted as less grafts as possible and we left his front middle hair untouched as you can see in the post op photo. See his result with this kind of design of leaving some area with his own hair. Obviously in a few years these hair will start to miniaturize but also the hair behind will start to thin out too. So by this time the patient will need an additional HT to cover the new thinning areas. Regards, Giuseppe Before Immediately after 1 Year Post op
  5. I forgot to put the donor post op so I add this two photos which again show the care taken by HDC to extract the grafts evenly throughout the donor area and I a pattern that leaves the surrounding follicular units intact and the option to the patient to continue with more session with minimal damage to the donor. Regards, Giuseppe
  6. This is a Norwood 3 rather than 2, I agree. The density transplanted depends on a few factors like: • The caliber of the hair as mentioned • The elasticity of the skin • The density the patient wants to achieve • The number of hair / FU For dense packing we go around 65 – 70 FU/cm2 for the front and about 50 for behind. The exact numbers depend however for each patient on the variables above. Giuseppe
  7. This patient wanted a dense pack on his hairline and Temples. HDC transplanted 2250 FUE grafts as shown below. The patient did not take any hair loss medication before or after the HT. Please see his result 20 months after. He may have some thinning in the future on the area behind the transplanted area, but the good management of his donor area, will give him the luxury to cover any thinning balding, coming in the future. Regards, Giuseppe Before Immediately After 20 Months post op
  8. Hi Wibbles, thank you for your observations. First thing I want to say is that this result is still under development as he is only 6 months after. We usually have further development until the 9th month, so I will post his final result when this is going to be finalized. In addition I would like to note that this was mainly a hairline job as 1800 out of the 2700 grafts were distributed to the hairline and only 900 grafts were placed with low density behind the hairline and top, as illustrated in the pic below showing the grafts distribution. So probably this patient will need additional work on the top area in the future. I have also included 2 photos below of shaven down area as requested. You can see the donor grown after 6 months above. Regarding the way that HDC post the results, you can see indicative post of our results in this forum for the last 4 months in the links below: 16-09-16 (HT 29-07-15) HDC Hair Clinic – NW 4 – 3100 FUE grafts – 13 months Hair Transplant Result HDC Hair Clinic – NW 4 – 3100 FUE grafts – 13 months Hair Transplant Result - Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients 05-08-16 (HT 11-08-15) 3000 FUE grafts placed within previous Strip grafts- HDC Hair Clinic http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184273-30 00-fue-grafts-placed-within-previous-strip-grafts-hdc-hair-clinic.html 03-07-16 (Nir Levi HT 19-03-15, Norwood 2) Restoring and Lowering of Hairline Result – 2000 grafts - HDC Hair Clinic http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/183978-restoring-lowering-hairline-result-%96-2000-grafts-hdc-hair-clinic.html 02-09-16 You Tube video with his experience 17-06-16 (HT 18/05/16 Norwood 3) FUE result for 2680 grafts – Class 3 – HDC Hair Clinic FUE result for 2680 grafts – Class 3 – HDC Hair Clinic - Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients Thanks for contributing to the enlightenment of this community.
  9. This patient was primarily worried about his hair loss on the crown. So he underwent an FUE procedure on 03-04-14 for 2200 grafts with the result shown below. He had shared his experience with HDC, for this FUE surgery in this forum on this link http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/174234-starting-my-hair-transplant-story-hdc-clinic-2200-grafts-2.html On 21-04-16 he came back to cover his hairline and top area with 2700 grafts. The results are presented below. We want to outline one more time the fact that HDC is paying much attention, apart from the good growth, natural hairlines and overall result, to the good preservation of the donor with avoiding depletion and giving the luxury to Patient to cover their existing and future balding by making most out of their donor. 10. Alex D, of HDC Hair Clinic has sadly lost his fight against Leukemia, passing away peacefully on October 12th. It is really a great loss for the HDC Family and the Hair loss Community in General. He was so committed to this subject and tried genuinely to help others solve their balding problem. All the staff at HDC is devastated from his loss. His presence and help will be missed by all. He is leaving back a family with two children of 14 and 8 Years old. We all need to give our deepest condolences to his Family. As per is wishes I will continue his participation in this forum.
