This is a 38-year-old patient who wanted to lower his hairline by about 2 cm. He does not have a bad history of hair loss and his existing hair are not miniaturizing. He has thin hair in the class 4 area which will be lost in the coming years, and he will need further hair transplantation in this area. We hereby present a Norwood class 5-6 patient who transplanted in total 7650 grafts in two FUE Hair Transplants, with HDC Hair Clinic. FUE1 on March 2019 for 3600 grafts FUE2 on November 2020 for 4050 grafts covering an area of about 93cm. See below all the photos showing his before, post op and 1 year result in November 2021. This patient who is 35 years old, wanted to enhance his hair density to the front and temples. He had a previous hair transplant many years ago when he still had most of his native hair. After the loss of his existing hair, he ended up with lower density in this area. HDC Hair Clinic with Team leader being Dr Maras, has transplanted only 1872 grafts to increase the density of this area, to match with his hair density behind. The important element in this case is that the existing hair were used as part of the solution. So, the new hair transplanted hair was placed in between those. This is a young patient, only 25 years old. He wanted to fill up his receding hairline. HDC Team has examined his family history and status of hair loss. It was found that he does not have a potential of high Norwood stage, so we proceeded with his surgery. In young patients, is important to make sure that they understand their future hair loss and to have realistic expectations, otherwise you end up with unsatisfied patients. It is also important to check that they have a good donor that can support possible further hair loss. In this case we only used 2500 grafts as you can see below. Notice that we kept a conservative hairline, as it will escort this individual for the rest of his life. Low hairlines and temporal rectification should be avoided in young patients. This 32-year-old patient wanted to restore his hairline. He was after a natural result with density that would blend in harmony with his native hair behind the transplanted. This 37-year-old Norwood Class 5 patient, wanted to cover all his baldness. It was too much to cover it all in one surgery, so HDC has divided the balding area to be covered, in two different surgeries with a minimum 1-year interval. He had his first FUE in July 2019 for 4180 Grafts and the second one on May 2021 for the crown with 2850 grafts. This totals 7030 grafts in both surgeries. In order to make possible covering large balding areas with good density we, need to manage correctly the donor area. Grafts should be taken out with care and spread the extraction all over the donor area, by leaving the surrounding hair from each punch, intact. This causes less trauma to the donor and can maximize over all the total hair that can be extracted, with minimal damage. To succeed you need the skill and the patience of the doctor and the technicians. Therefore, we divide each surgery in two days. We will show the before, post op and result of the first surgery to the front and then the post op of the surgery to the crown. He was also concerned about his donor and wanted to cover the area to a natural look without insisting on high density. His main aim was naturality and to leave donor for future hair loss. HDC Medical Team, under the responsibility of Dr Maras used only 3300 grafts to cover both areas. To achieve this, we did not build a dense front hairline that would spend a lot of grafts. Note, the clean recipient area one week after and the post op donor photos, showing how the extraction had been evenly distributed over the area, leaving in-between hair intact, as it is always done by HDC. Finally, the result was to the full satisfaction of the patient and this shows an alternative approach to patients that want to proceed with a more conservative approach. This is a 29-year-old patient who wanted to add hair to his hairline to blend with his existing hair behind the bald area. The initial hesitation from the HDC medical team and Doctor Maras was that if the patient would preserve the same number 1 short haircut, the transplanted hair could look slightly different from his existing hair. The Transplanted hair are placed with a density of about 50 Follicular units per cmsq, while the native hair may be thinner in this area with a higher number of grafts in one cm. Well, In the end the patient accepted to grow his hair if needed and this hesitation was over. So HDC Transplanted 3050 FUE grafts, and the desired result has now been accomplished. It is remarkable to notice the almost zero haircut of the patient in the donor area and that no visible sign of scarring is observed. This is what we call a two-way result. This patient had hairline and temple reception. The rest of his hair were very strong and had no miniaturization in the crown. This is why we decided to proceed with his hair transplant. This is a 42-year-old patient who wanted to cover his crown. HDC Medical Team under the supervision of Dr Maras, transplanted 2730 grafts. This patient has good donor. So even if the donor has high number of follicular units per square centimeter, still we distributed the extraction of the grafts all over the donor area. This achieves the least trauma and scarring to the donor and does not make a specific area of the donor look less dense than the adjacent area. It needs more patience and time to extract this way, but in HDC protocol this technique has to be followed. Well, the result is only 5 months and it still has a lot of room for improvement. This is a classic case of a 24-year-old patient who wanted to restore his front hairline recession. HDC Medical Team transplanted 2800 grafts to restore this area. This is a 50-year-old patient who decided to restore his receding hairline. HDC Medical Team dense packed 2800 FUE grafts, giving a full density so that the transplanted hair, would blend nicely with the hair behind. A receding hairline can increase your estimated age for up to 5 years, and the reverse will apply if you restore it successfully. A hairline surgery is not easy, because you need to design it correctly by avoiding placing it too high or too low, dense pack the grafts, use correct pattern in making the sites and the correct angulation so that it will look completely natural. You can also notice how correctly and evenly the punching was spread over the donor, thus avoiding leaving an area of the donor looking less dense than any other.
