  1. I've heard some people recommend using Rogaine after a HT to help speed up growth. I currently use Rogaine but only in my crown (as it is intended) and all of my transplanted hairs are in my hairline. Would I recieve any benefit from using Rogaine on my hairline also to potentially speed up graft growth? I know it wont help my existing hairs there...

  3. Reviewing the site further they also say they can test to see if finasteride will help stop your hairloss. Has anyone tried this?
  4. Apparently there is a company that can test to see if your at risk for MPB. Here's the link: http://www.hairdx.com/ I have not tried this (didn't need to, already knew I had MPB.) Has anyone else heard of this or tried it?
  5. I wouldn't pluck them. If you have clippers I would buzz them down. Its less harsh than shaving.
  6. It can't be a graft holding on for dear life. I buzzed my hair 3 weeks ago to match the length of my transplanted hair/native hair that was shaved for the procedure so it would all grow evenly. My transplanted (whats left) and native hair are a little over 1/4 inch in length. This hair is barely poking out of the surface and is thicker than all the native hair surrounding it...
  7. PGP, Christina told me that Dr. Hasson didn't count the 2 and 3 hair FUs so unfortunately I don't have that breakdown for you.
  8. So tomorrow will mark the first month since my procedure and I am noticing stubble in my hairline. The hair is thicker than my native hair. Is it possible to experience growth this quickly? I will be posting my 1 month photos tomorrow and try to get some close-ups of it...

  10. I've had the same problem as you. I decided to get a painters mask and use that when I apply my toppik. You look rediculous but it solves the problem.
  11. I use Xfusion while working out (similar to Toppik) and have had no issues with it in the gym. It wont run or smudge with sweat but if you wipe it with your towel it will come off. I am just careful to only wipe my forehead and not my hairline and had no problems.
  12. I have used both as well. I prefer the Xfusion over Toppik. It seemed less noticible to me.
  13. Thanks guys! Yea the toughest part of this procedure is waiting for the hairs to start growing. I need to get a hobby or something to get my mind off my hair... Bill- Thanks for fixing my signature! I was wondering how to do that...
  14. Five weeks seems quite long to still have scabbing. Have you been showering twice a day? Do you massage the area with shampoo for a few minutes each time you do shower? I would also recommend using vitamin e oil.
  15. I just e-mailed Christina with that question. I will update my blog when I get those results.
  16. Finally set up my journal. I'd like to thank Dr. Hasson and his staff for making my experience quite painless and rather enjoyable! Here is a link to my blog:
  17. Cut your hair short, get on minoxidil and finasteride and try using concealers.
  18. I have olive skin and rarely burn. I never use sunblock, usually tanning oil and still have no problems with sunburns unless the UV index is around 10+ and I'm laying out for 4+ hours I am 3 weeks post-op and was wondering if I would be able to lay out at this point. My recipient area is still a little pink from the transplant but barely noticeable. I plan on putting sunblock on my scalp to prevent any burning. Is burning the recipient area the only thing I have to worry about when being in the sun after a HT?

  20. Thanks for the replies. I poked it with a sterile needle and it is now barely visible.
  21. It all depends on donor density and scalp laxity. You might be lucky and get an extra 1000 or so grafts that they can sprinkle on the crown. I believe that is a question best answered by Dr. Wong himself when he examines your scalp...
