  1. Congrats, MrMatt! The work looks good. You were one of the reasons I got my first HT with Dr. Nader. Like you, I got a second one this past May — I really should post my reviews. Thanks.
  2. He's a great doc. I returned about a week and a half ago from my second HT with Nader where I transplanted a little over 1900 grafts. My first HT was almost two years ago where Nader transplanted 3500 grafts over two days.
  3. I returned last Saturday from my second hair transplant with Dr. Nader and it was an excellent experience, just as it was the first time. He is a very talented surgeon and cares about his work. Also, if you should choose to move forward with him, get the tacos for lunch
  4. Etownone, what is Dr. Nader charging these days?
  5. Congrats! I took the plunge in late July 2016 with Dr. Nader so I'm close to a year now and I have been very pleased. The entire experience was excellent as were the tacos I had for lunch during both days of surgery! Dr. Nader is just a great person who knows what we're going through. I had a little more than 3500 grafts transplanted over two days. At some point, I'll have to post some before and after shots. I probably need another 1,000 to 1,500 grafts to add a bit more density and finish filling in my vertex. When I contacted Dr. Nader in early May to set up the second surgery but he said to wait until 18 months because he thinks I still have more hair to grow and at that point may be happy with the final results and not need a second transplant. In my opinion, it is rare to find that type of honesty and character these days! Oh, and he is right, I've had some hairs sprout up since contacting him so we'll see how I feel in another 4 to 6 months. Congrats again on taking the plunge. It's a great feeling!
  6. Looking good! I had 3500 grafts by Nader in late July 2016 and so far so good
  7. Good for your, man. It really is looking great, MrMatt. How long will it be between trips? For the 2,500 grafts, are you doing that in one day or two? Like you, I'm happy with my progress, but I'm going to need a second a trip and I'm wondering how long I should wait in between. I was 3,500 the first time over two days. /pidds
  8. Looking great, MrMatt! Like you, my crown is coming in slow. How many grafts do you think you'll get on your second trip? /pidds
  9. It was a great experience. I was nervous, as was my wife, about traveling into a Mexican boarder city but Santos, Dr. Nader's driver who drove me to and from my appointment was great, and it turned out I had nothing to be worried about.

Dr. Nader was fantastic; he spent several hours talking with me to understand what my expectations were and then we created a plan. I never felt rushed and I wound up having a little over 3,500 transplants over a two day period. I also loved the fact that Dr. Nader only sees one patient a day and he worked on every part of the procedure.

Post op was an excellent experience. I was able to easily get in contact with Dr. Nader to ask him questions as well as have him review my progress.

It has been about 80 days since the transplant, and I'm slowly seeing hairs start to pop up.

  10. Glad you too had a great experience, Etownone! /pidds
  11. How long have you been trying to get a hold of him? My advice is to keep emailing him. I probably sent him four emails in a week until he replied. He get's a lot of email that he checks himself. I was a very courteous in the emails and told him that I was doing my best to the get to the top of his email list and he finally replied. I've heard that calling his office works well too. /Pidds
  12. Just saw your post, MrMatt. Your hair is looking great! I'm about 65 days past my procedure with Dr. Nader.
  13. Looking good! I'm 9 days out and plan to post my pics in the near future. /Pidds
  14. mikeyhwk, Dr. Nader transplanted 3500+ grafts on my head on July 27 & 28 and speaking from personal experience, the overall experience was fantastic. Does his initial communication lack greatly, yes, yes it does but that's because he tries to answer all of the email himself and he doesn't want to expand his business. He genuinely believes in seeing one patient a day and he is booked for months out. So I had to be very persistent and once Dr. Nader answered my emails, the experience was great including surgery and follow-up communications. I get that you are angry he hasn't answered your communications I can't blame you for that but that doesn't in my informed opinion reflect on his work which as far as I can tell when I look at my head in a mirror pretty damn good. I plan to post pics in the future and journal my journey in the hopes it helps others because others have helped me! Just my informed two cents... /Pidds
  15. I don't think you'll be disappointed, Estownone!
  16. Sorry to hear that, ontop. I think it took about a week for Dr. Nader to reply to my emails and I sent him several within that week. I've also heard that calling his office works. Once I was in contact with him, I didn't have any communication issues.
  17. I had my hair transplant with Dr. Nader on July 27 - 28, 2016 . I plan to post a full review with some pictures in the next day or so but I just wanted to weigh in on this thread because it was so helpful for me in making my decision to select Dr. Nader. The experience was phenomenal! Dr. Nader was literally there for every part of the procedure. He only sees one patient a day and this is his passion in life! Does he take a while to get back to you initially, yes, but that's because he is so busy and there is a reason for that. With regards to communications, after the procedure he gives you a special way to contact him and he is VERY responsive! To answer some questions that I've read: 0) I've read horror stories around the amount of pain some doctors have caused when numbing the scalp for both the graft removal and insertion. While there was some pain, it was minimal. Dr. Nader uses some sort of vibration tool on your scalp/head prior to injecting the local anesthesia and that coupled with his technique made what I believed was going to be a horrible experience become somewhat unpleasant but easily manageable. 1) Most of his assistances did not speak the greatest english or perhaps any english at all but it didn't matter because Dr. Nader was always there and he speaks perfect english. 2) His facilities were immaculate and modern. 3) Dr. Nader makes sure there are a lot of creature comforts, and what I mean by that, when you are sitting in the chair having the hair implanted he has a computer full of movies that you can pick from and get lost in. I was literally cracking up watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles as Dr. Nader was implanting hair in my head. A surreal feeling! 4) His team worked like a well-oiled machine everyone knowing their tasks. Harvesting took around two hours and the first grafts harvested were probably out of my body for no more than 3 - 4 hours before the insertion began. 5) I paid in cash and received the 10% discount which covered my airfare. Dr. Nader also covered the cost of the hotel. It is a GREAT deal that no US Doctor could come close to. 6) I felt safe the entire time and this was a big one for my wife and me! She never thought I needed a hair transplant to begin with God love her but she supported me because she knew I wanted it for me. That said, she was scared about me going into a board town. At the end of day, it didn't feel any more dangerous than flying into Cancun and traveling to Riviera Maya. Mr. Santos, Dr. Nader's driver is great and he took care of everything. He doesn't speak very good english so use Google Translate or some app like that if you want to talk to him. 7) Returning to the US was easy. I just told the border patrol that I got a hair transplant and that was that. As I stated, I plan to create a full review but I wanted to weigh in here as well. Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to respond in a timely manner! Given Dr. Nader's abilities coupled with price and the fact he cares you'd be crazy not schedule an appointment with him! One final note, Dr. Nader has no idea I am writing this review and I was in no way paid to write it... the contrary is true, I paid him.
  18. I'm scheduled for later this month with Dr. Nader so I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes!
  19. Hi, kkgm07, I'm scheduled to see Dr. Nader later this month so I'm just curious if you have any updates? Everything gone well? Happy? Thanks!
  20. I'm seeing Dr. Nader in late July. I'll let everyone know how it goes. That said, all of the research I've done has uncovered nothing but positive reviews.
