  1. You want to do it yourself because you don't want dots on the BACK of your head????? I had a transplant a year ago and have a line in the back of my head and no way in Hati can you see anything. Do not do it yourself. How many bad stories started with "i thought I could do it myself..." . So don't.
  2. Looks good Voxman. I do tell people that I had a HT but not ready to put it on facebook yet. Thanks for being so open.
  3. This is a great result. The fact that he fooled his girlfriend is even better ! Great job.
  4. I had my hair shaved for my procedure. I had asked Dr. Bloxham specifically about that and he said the shaving was so he could see better and there would be less chance of damage to my existing hair follicles. Makes sense to me and most patients online had their head shaved. On another note, after doing research and looking at pictures of others who have had a transplant I think you can better judge how many grafts you get and how good the work is when the hair is shaved. When its longer its sort of covered up.
  5. This is true. I've seen that on people before and told it was a fungal infection. What he is saying here however is that there is an internal inflammation that is present that is causing the hair loss. Maybe yea and maybe neh , but probably too small to be a real effect.
  6. Had my photos taken and Chris the F&B computer geek put it up as my signature icon. So I sat and spoke with Dr. Bloxham and he recommended that I do a second procedure for the front part of my crown and move back from there. He said no problem taking hair from the sides and that I do not need to do FUE to work in that area. Now it's time to find a date for the next procedure.
  7. UPDATE: October 13, 2016- 1 year and 1 month after my procedure- My follow up visit It has been just over a year of growth and I could not be HAPPIER with my results. I arrived for my follow appointment and both doctors were in their respective operating rooms so I had to wait a bit. After a short wait Dr. Bloxham stuck his head into the waiting room and asked me if I would show off my results to his current patient and I said sure. I went in and remembered the room very well since I myself spent hours in it. I showed off my results and his patient was very excited about it ( I forgot his name). After a few minutes Dr. Bloxham asked if I wanted to say hi to Dr. Feller and he took me into his room where he was doing an FUE and went back to his room. Dr. Feller said hi and let me watch for a bit and said he remembered me. Several of the techs came in to look at my results as well. I didn't remember all their names but they seemed very happy to look at my results. It is an extremely good feeling. So now I am waiting for Dr. Bloxham to come out and see if we can do another procedure. I will update after that.
  8. Then if your inflammation levels are coming down, shouldn't your hair be getting better ? Even the hairs that didn't need transplants ?
  9. Great result and such an interesting hair loss pattern. He is lucky to still have most of the front but looks like you filled in the gap behind it. Looks very natural. He must be very happy. Did you do the crown too ? Or are you going to be doing it ? Because I need my crown filled as well. Great job again as expected from F@B
  10. azdz I looked into all the medications for hair loss and found I had to go the hair transplant route. Best thing I ever did. Look for a local doctor and get a consultation. It may cost a few dollars but you will feel good that you just did it.
  11. Runerrrr, I did a hair transplant and it was the best thing I ever did. Worth every penny. I went to Dr Feller and Bloxham and they did an outstanding job and highly recommend them. Here is a link to one of the patients they just posted. They are very professional and caring people. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184939-feller-bloxham-great-neck-ny-qik-vid-16-seconds-hair-transplant-magic.html
  12. Excellent results as usual. I like the concept of the quick paced before/after results. Keep them coming.
  13. I didn't notice that line. He wants to lower it? I think he looks good. I just want my crown done. Wouldn't it be smarter to save the hair for the back or the future Dr. Bloxham? And thank you for coming on yourself as you do. It shows you really love your work and you did a great job for me. Now can you do it twice ????!!!! :-) :-)
  14. Runnerr ? Are you still there? Modernhair- I never heard of internal inflammation. It would be awesome if you were right and diet and focus on inflammation cured hair loss but I'm thinking not. I think we're stuck with DHT for now. And hair transplants.
  15. No Runerr i decided not to go propecia due to the side effects. Genetics and inflammation together does make sense but what medications are there for inflammation of the scalp? Did the steroid shots help you? Have you looked into hair transplants already? I never thought I would get one but I did and it really was a great choice. I'm not the bald guy in the room anymore.
  16. I have read about what causes hair loss (other than demonic forces) and it is genetic, not inflammation, so the focus should be on that. I learned that aging is genetic. Were you aware of that? So maybe someone can figure out how to reprogram cells to stop aging and balding as well.
  17. Tnx. I'm going to make my one year appt with the docs office today so I'll have them take a bunch of pictures and then put them up. What I am thinking is that if I can get FUE for the top/back I can have them take from the sides and leave the donor back for another strip in the future.
  18. Had my surgery with them a year ago and could not be happier. I recommend them and am going to go back for another procedure to cover the back/top. My experience with them is here... http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180902-giant-thanks-dr-feller-his-wonderful-staff.html
  19. I had my surgery with Drs Feller and Bloxham last year and am very happy with the results. But now I would like to cover a smaller spot in the back of the head. Should I do this as another FUT or as FUE? Docs, what do you think?
