  1. Hi, I'm 8 days post op and I've just finished the saline spray I got provided by the clinic. It's says in my aftercare notes to switch to spraying normal tap water on the recipient, but doesn't give an indication of how long to do this. Does anyone have any advice for how long I should be spraying the recipient for? Thanks
  2. Thanks for your reply. Sure, it makes total sense that there is pain there. The only thing that got me concerned was that everyone else seems to just report donor pain, big I guess what you're saying makes total sense.
  3. Hey, Post-op 7 days now, and still have recipient pain. The pain isn't intense, but it's definitely noticeable, and it comes and goes. Worse when I lie down. Also accompanied by a tingling sensation, which is again not constant. There are lots of threads on donor pain, but hardly any on recipient pain. Is this something I should be concerned about? Is it an indication either way of whether or not the transplant will be successful or not? Thanks very much
  4. Hi, I've read redness is a good sign for the first couple of weeks post op, as it shows increases blood vessels to feed the transplanted grafts. My redness has completely gone, 6 days post-op. Do you think this is indicative that the surgery won't be successful?
  5. Thanks for your reply and reassurance. It's just that it seems so early for this to be happening. I've been searching so much to find other examples of people shedding this early and I can't find any.
  6. Just to add they look very similar to the photos on this thread: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/163272-am-i-loosing-grafts-experiencing-normal-shedding-2.html I tried taking photos myself but when I get close up the image is really poor. The hairs have a darker, thicker part at the end of the hair. As it's still early for me I'm worried they never took and now they're completely falling out.
  7. Hi, Does anyone know if shedding on day 3 is a bad sign? I've started shedding already (the hairs having a hooked shape or an L shape) and I'm worried I'm loosing grafts. Most people on here describe shedding much later. Any experiences people could share would be great. Thanks
  8. Thanks Sethticles. So many things seem like potential problems!
  9. Hey, So I woke up in my sleep scratching my recipient area. It was very light scratching and as soon as I came to my senses I stopped. First thing in the morning I checked my recipient area and everything seemed fine, no grafts on my finger tips or on my pillow. No bleeding that I could tell, and as I'm only 2 days post op I've still got the scabs and there wasn't even any dried blood from the scabs on my finger tips or on my pillow. Does anyone think this sort of thing poses a risk?
  10. Hi, I am unable to access my previous ID - 'options'. I forgot the password so followed the links to have my password resent. I received an email with a link, clicked on this link but it took me to a page that said 'page expired'. I tried several times and always got the same response. I then created this new ID and tried to send a PM to Bill, when I clicked on 'send Bill a PM', a new window popped up, but instead of having a message to send it was simply a new window with the homepage in again. If any admin read this please could you look into why I am unable to access my account as 'options'? Ideally I would like to continue to use that old account as I have private messages etc saved. If someone could send an email associated with the options ID that would be great. Many thanks
