  1. Just had an FUE procedure 3800+ grafts which unconcealed the scar from my prior FUT 1750 graft procedure.with the trichophytic closure done in 5/2013. I was really surprised how vague the scar was. I have been reading & researching FUE vs FUT for the last couple of years. Now since I have experienced both I can honestly say FUE is a lot less painful & the healing time is very quick. I'm 5 days post op and have just a little tenderness in the donor area & the extraction wounds are just about healed. As for my FUT procedure the donor area was very tender for over 2 months and numb for about 6 months. As far as graft yield, I'll just have to wait & see, my Doctor claims 97% & I'm confident it can be achieved since I've seen many examples of his work.
  2. Just got back from Reynosa Mexico after my HT procedure & all I can say is this Dr 's skills, knowlege & prices are amazing! Check-out his work! I couldn't be happier! Just for the record I don't work for Dr Nader, I'm not being paid & he doesn't even know I'm posting this.
  3. Reynosa Mexico right across the Texas border. Dr Nader has 5 different graft # packages His current price for 4000 FUE grafts is $6723. which includes a 3 night hotel stay, all medications & tests, transportation to & from the airport & his office. There is also a 10% discount for cash. That would currently break down to $1.525 per graft. Dr Nader does all the work his self & only does one patient at a time. It is very difficult to get a reply from him since his rock-star status on Youtube & the fact he answers each email personally. It took 2.5 months for me to hear from him & set up my procedure The current price I mentioned was $400 less 6 months ago & I'm sure it will continue to rise with his constantly rising popularity & approval.
  4. Eli Glad to hear your results are meeting your expectations. It amazes me how under rated Dr Nader is on this site, I guess his skills & prices seem too good true, I thought the same until I thoroughly researched him. As you know I'm scheduled for 4000 grafts with Dr Nader next month. Thanks for your help & information.
  5. I tried to post on a thread, got email from Hair Restoration Network saying I used trigger words ? I see no use in posting the statements I wrote because it will be held for approval .I went back & reread the post and can not understand what is so wrong with the wording to bring it under question. I tried searching trigger words in this forum with no luck. Could someone explain this to me ( what will be under scrutiny ) so I wont be wasting my time time making post that wont be published in the future . Thanks!
  6. Why would you even consider beard grafts when you have such a good full & coarse donor hair area ? Even if you have a family history of high Norwoods I'd save the beard grafts as a last resort later down the road if necessary...Good Luck
  7. Shame they can't mix the two together to keep hair on the head & a pistol in the pocket.
  8. The pictures of your surgery looks very good. My guess is in 6 months you'll be happy with your results & laughing about how worried you were for nothing.
  9. I tried to to call his office a few times, I get a message saying I've entered a restricted code. This is what I'm dialing 011 52 899 XXX XXXX tried both numbers on his site receiving the same restricted code message. Have you been able to contact his office by phone ?
  10. lileli Glad your results are coming along. I'm still waiting to hear from Dr Nader. He sent me some available FUE HT dates in April but since I wanted FUT I asked him several time if consider doing it with no response. Now that I have elected to go with FUE, I have contacted him many times telling him to just give me a price a time, a date & I'll be there still no response. Reminds me of the Seinfeld 'Soup Nazi" but instead "No FUE For You" Lol
  11. Dr. Feller, Are you saying a person can look at virtually an post opt HT photo showing only the recipient area & tell if it is FUT or FUE, if they know what they're looking for, or just these two ? Everything I've read so far gave me the impression that the grafts from both procedures were planted basically the same way.
  12. I don't believe which procedure can truly be determined by photos especially at that angle since it's the extraction of the two techniques, not the placement that sets them apart. Good point .
  13. Has anyone had any positive results with this supplement alone ? I'm not talking about new growth, just thickening what you already have . I've read some very good reviews on it.
  14. I've tried Toppik & Caboki , while consealing thin spots well I still saw a very good chance to embarrassed in close contact .In my case as far as fibers, Toppik out shined Caboki as far as natural looking & staying put but still rubbed off fairly easy even with the holding spray. I'm currently using couvre mostly on my crown just for special occasions ( driving my convertible with the top down ) It looks really natural & doesn't rub off near as bad as the two fibers listed above. I use a small toothbrush like brush that gives the illusion of actual hairs You would think in this day & age they could come up with a concealer that was completely waterproof & didn't rub of until you wanted it to.
  15. I'm headed for my second FUT procedure (haven't decided on a doctor yet) How is the location of the second strip incision (or more) decided? I have seen many photos of HT scars above each other, to the right, left etc. If a patient has suitable donor hair around the existing scar can the second strip incision be combined with the first for a total of one scar? I also noticed Dr Feller uses staples instead of sutures. What would be the benefits of that ?
  16. Is the Biotin giving you any results ? If so how long have you been taking it ? I read some really good reviews on it, I just started the regular dosage 3 days ago. Isn't 2 cups of cooked egg whites a day kind of excessive ? My doctor told me not to eat any eggs at all.
  17. Both, I plan to lower my hairline a tad & fill the crown. 3 to 4000 grafts was the online estimate from 3 different HT doctors. Judging by the yield & coverage of my past 1700 graft procedure I believe that estimate will get me the results I looking for.
  18. I've had one FUT HT of 1700 grafts on 5/ 13. I'm 56 years old and looking to have 3000+ more (FUT) for round 2. I then plan to grow old gracefully (no more HT) I've read the average donor area has around 6000 grafts. If that is a close estimate I should have about 1300 grafts (Recent photo of donor area below.) just in case I decide to go for round 3 ?
  19. lileli I've done a lot of research on Dr. Nader & all the information I have found seems very good. I have have pretty much decided on him for my next HT. Did you have trouble contacting him & setting up your procedure date ?
  20. I was researching SMP and was very surprised at the high cost of this procedure. What all is involved in this technique to justify the current high prices ?
  21. Carlene Matters that aren't ever going to go away need to be brought out in the open & let the chips fall where they may or your relationship will never go any further than it has now. Marriage & or living together will be out of the question because I don't believe two people can live in the same house intimately & keep such a secret from the other. Wish you luck with your decision.
  22. Mexico HT seems to be a joke around here. Was attacked for mentioning going there by that busa guy( very glad he got the boot ) and others don't seem to think much of the idea either but positive proof has been documented, especially with Dr Nader. Your hair is really coming in, should be looking great for the upcoming holidays. Thanks for the update.
