  1. I don't rely on pictures anymore after two failed HTs. They can always be deceiving and not capture the true outcome. For example if I take a picture of my own hairline now it actually looks more dense than it actually is! You should chat with someone who has had a procedure.... Also "search" the doctors name not only in this forum but others like "realself".... I found multiple bad reviews on doctors there that aren't on this forum. There are other forums similar to this one, do your research, and then do it again. Just because this website or another says they are recommended that doesn't mean it's guaranteed.
  2. IS the group of doctors listed under coalition of independent hair restoration physicians 'BETTER" than the other list of recommended doctors? Im confused.
  3. I too wonder- how long has it been since your procedure? When did you get it done? I know that Dr Diep prescribes anti biotics. Wouldn't that have stopped the folliculits from happening in the first place? How can one prevent folluculitis from surgery? It's true, when you go with a recommended surgeon you almost believe it's guaranteed and nothing will go wrong, but of course we know that's not always the case.
  4. Yes I want to see your scar. Is that bad too?
  5. I also had a transplant with low growth. My doctor offered me a free second procedure. It didn't work the second time either... He's offered me a third procedure but I want a new doctor... Did you try and ask for free second procedure or discount? How is your scar? Any pics?
  6. You mentioned you didn't experience shock loss. Did you take anything for that to happen or do anything different? Any advice for people to get results like yours?
  7. I have read that Dr. Diep normally provides you with antibiotics after surgery...(?). When did you have your surgery? How is your scar? He comes highly recommended on this forum. I was considering having him fix my transplant too...
  8. So they are basically charging the same $3 per graft for the second time. I assume this was the FUT (Strip method)???
  9. Do you have a before picture?? I'm suprised Dr Diep did this work... I hope a moderator can link him into this conversation so he can explain what went wrong. It's unfortunate he's not doing the work for free. How much did you pay per graft? Was this FUE OR FUT? what's your scar like?
  10. Do you have any pictures? Did the grafts not grow in?
  11. Do you only want a transplant on your crown? No hair line photos? I'd go with FUE doesnt seem like you need many transplants and it wont leave scar, but it is usually more expensive.
  12. Hello Everyone! I had a failed transplant, actually two, from the same doctor where I experienced little to no yield/density and some pitting.:confused: I was hoping you could tell me how many grafts you think i need to fix my hairline. Originally my doctor said I would need 600 grafts. I was told pitting happens when the grafts are placed to deep into the skin? Does that sound right? FYI The doctor who produced these results was Dr. Wesley Hall Sr. in Reno, Nevada at AKROS Hair Restoration Clinic. FUT method. Oh yeah, what norwood class am I? Thanks for your help
  13. How many did you get? Have any pics? I want to do dr Diep this year
  14. Is the rogaine and the fin to prevent shock loss or does it help grow in the new grafts?
  15. I would not go to that doctor. Read the prior review about her. Of course she "doesn't know" who it is or remembers. Don't say you werent warned... If I had read one single review that made me think my doctor was incompetent I would have ran the other direction. - confused
  16. I am about 2 years post op. Originally it was only 600... After nothing grew in he did 600 more a year later. accoridng to his calculations I only needed 600 to cover the area needed.
  17. I'm a native to Reno, Nevada and there is only one hair transplant doctor here. Dr. Wesley Hall Sr. (AKROS HAIR RESTORATION) His father was a reputable plastic surgeon in town and now his youngest son is a plastic surgeon too. 3 generations. my doctor Dr. Hall senior was our hospitals chief of staff. I had no doubt that he had a great pedigree. im still not sure if I'm a case where transplants just don't work or its my doctors fault. After two procedures of 600 grafts each I have extremely low yield / density. Almost nothing. Doctor wants to do it a third time, at no charge but I've lost hope and consider going to Dr. John Diep in San Francisco for repair. I also have pitting at recipient site where my doctor claims it is just how my skin reacted and not his fault. He doesn't know why the grafts aren't taking. Suggestions? Comments? Input is welcome
