  1. Think I will stay buzzing up until 3 months and then maybe grow it out. At that point I'm hoping there will be some growth but who knows as everyone is different. I'm definetely no worse off than before the op so that is a plus I guess
  2. I wasn't going to bother updating because there is no change but said I would for the forum's benefit. I think nearly all transplanted hairs have shed. I have lost no hair to shockloss so far and all my native hair has remained intact despite the obvious miniaturisation of my pre op state. My surgeon boldly said shockloss is largely down to the surgeon's ability ?truly love he's confidence.
  3. Again this to me is very suspect after the poster said he's results were great he then disappeared. No picture to back it up either even though he had no problem uploading the poor growth pictures
  4. Thanks for the update HtSoon. And once again it's good to see some1 giving hope to the high NW's who, so often are told by the lower NW's to just forget it man and move on. Everything looks to be going well and I'd say ull have a killer hairline in 3 months time. Also that crown isn't too bad at all in those pics it's light ya but still has some milage left
  5. Cheers buzz, I think you can only be recommended here as a doctor if you are willing to pay so a lot of doctors probably slip under the radar. Fortunately for me the likes of yourself and a few others had experience of Dr. Saifi which made the decision all the more easy for me. Thanks for all the help and advice mate?
  6. HTsoon is right. dont listen to these guys who say forget a HT if ur not on FIN. not everyone is chasing these wow results with full restoration. lots of people would be happy with what I would call, improvement. Even one transplant can drastically improve appearance. Obviously you have to be realistic and consider future loss and future Ht's down the road but for someone to tell you that without Fin u should forget about it and shave ur head is just ridiculous in my opinion
  7. I was walking around a shopping mall the very next day wearing a loose fitting cap. It was very loose fitting so the donor area will be clearly visible. I got a lot of strange looks but f**k it I wasn't bothered ha. As far Im aware no doctor bandages their patients head
  8. I didn't actually ask him whizz unfortunately but def I assume he meant including the strip yes. And I also think he meant 3 procedures def not exceeding 2000 grafts. But again it was just general conversation I never asked specifics as I was a bit overwhelmed sitting in the operating chair. At the moment I'm just focusing on this procedure. He did say I had lots of 3's and even 4's so I'm optimistic of a satisfactory result
  9. ya for sure man. My surgeon said I might possibly have enough grafts for 3 future procedures but he was just roughly estimating
  10. cheers mate. it is a strange feeling wishing christmas had been and gone already. as the saying goes "u dont know what u've got til its gone"
  11. Just a quick update. I can notice some of the transplanted hair shedding with each wash and am surely heading towards the ugly phase. I really enjoyed the week or so that looked like I'd loads of hair again. Hopefully it will only be a matter of months and I can have it back.
  12. I shaved the donor area - back and sides of my head after 5/6 days and i blended it into the top part of my head using a scissors. I was very careful not to touch the new grafts and shaved up towards them but stopped an inch or so before them. Obviously you cant do anything with the newly grafted area but it will be quite short up there at first anyway. check out my photos on my forum post to give you an idea of how it would look. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181146-fue-hair-transplant-dr-marwan-saifi-wroclaw-poland-fue-2050-grafts-2-10-15-diffuse-norw.html
  13. I found it quite worrying how quickly that particular patient done a 360° also. Within 5 weeks he went from very very dissatisfied to shortly returning with a short message like... Hi everyone everything is fine now and the doctor is great and disappeared basically
  14. thank you very much HTsoon. Yes the strip is left on purpose by the doctor. Although I assured him I wasn't interested in FUT he said he would like to leave a strip in the donor untouched just incase down the line I had a change of heart. He said he likes to do this for patients as it keeps their options open and if the donor availability allows it he will leave this unspoiled strip as a "grafts in the bank" if you like. He is extremely particular about avoiding transection in the donor area.
  15. Hi all, I first started using this site in January 2015 and found it to be very beneficial in acquiring information in regards to hair restoration. I always said I would return the favour to the forum when I had my HT so here I am. I will try keep this post short but the journey up to my HT was anything but. I decided in January I was going to do something about my hairloss and done as much research as possible. I am 30 years old and noticed thinning when I was 27 years old. In January i went on minoxidil and bought a lasercomb which has seemd to halt my loss and even regrow a small few hairs. I have steered clear from propecia due to sides fear and am aware i have put myself at a disadvantage. Anyway I consulted with numerous hair restoration clinics seeking diagnosis, help, information and ultimately seeking a cure. In July after speaking with a number of clinics, many, which are recommend here, I decided to opt for Dr Saifi in Poland, strangely the surgeon who recommended the least amount of grafts for my restoration procedure. I say strangely because when i started out looking into hair restoration I wanted 5000 or 6000 grafts without question. Take me back to teenage years i thought and I wanted the opposite of conservative. Thankfully I became educated on hairloss and Dr Saifis approach seemed somewhat conservative but not limited and for someone with my level of hairloss it seemed to be realistic and honest. A lot of other surgeons were happy to recommend I get 5000+ grafts. I booked with Dr Saifi in July and paid my deposit of €500 euro to secure surgery date which is non-refundable . I feel it's important to mention I contacted Dr Saifi 5 weeks ago as I was a bit nervous and panicked and he offered to refund my non-refundable deposit if I wanted to pull out of the procedure or if I want to postpone it for a future date he would hold it for me. I think this is testiment to the kind of guy Dr Saifi is. Fast forward to the present and I had my surgery 4 days ago. I flew to Wroclaw and stayed at a recommended hotel by Marwan Saifi,The Art Hotel. I went for surgery on the 2nd October at 08:45. Dr Saifi had originally estimated I needed 2500 grafts but in the consultation in person he estimated I need only proceed with 2000 grafts. We agreed a hairline which was higher than my original hairline and agreed to leave the crown alone. I had decided prior to consultation that I would go with what Dr Saifi thought was best, as much as I would have loved an 18 yr olds hairline again haha. The procedure took about 6-7 hours. Apart from the anesthetic injections it was painless. Dr Saifi done all the extractions himself and made all the incisions himself. They only carry out one operation a day in this surgery. It's hard to fit it all in without boring people so I won't delay. All I can say is that I was very happy with the whole experience. Felt like I was in great hands throughout the experience and am very satisfied with the experience. I will leave you with my pics and anyone with any questions please fire away. The purpose of this post is just to give back to this network which has helped me so much in recent months. And also I promised one or two members I would make a forum post and felt I couldn't back out lol
  16. then by all means proceed. I think such a small number of grafts could easily be obtained with FUE but I am not a fan of the FUT procedure anyway. Good luck with your choice as previous posters pointed out at NW2 don't do anything drastic as you probably have a great head of hair.
  17. Well are u familiar with the nature of the two procedures? You would be cutting a strip off the back of ur head to potentially achieve 800 grafts. That wouldn't be my idea of the best strategy to combat a very small amount of hairloss
  18. For a session of 800 -1200 I would go FUE not FUT. No need to go down that route
  19. Help I'm 24 hours post HT I have just finished my first wash with cup of luke warm water and baby shampoo I'm probably freaking out too much but in recepient area around a few of the graft hairs it looks like crust or a little tiny flake or something around the hair like mid hair stem. Is this normal after a wash. I thoroughly washed shampoo out and hair is dry. Never touched anything with my fingers. Can anyone tell me if it's norm
  20. HTsoon look at he's pre op pics there was no native hair in the recipient area to lose
  21. Man I think u need to chill out big time. I seen ur pics and everything looked normal. You are 2 months post HT and have completely lost the plot. Surely you done your research before having this procedure. You have to wait it out for another few months to see the results. I can't tell whether u are very young or need a physche evaluation. You obviously had a totally different idea of the procedure you were having. Even the professional footballers/actors have all had to wait 6months to a year for their result yet you are displaying a very immature impatience. I don't mean to sound harsh but relax man you haven't lost a limb in a car crash or anything in 6months you will probably be delighted with ur result
