  1.

I use emu oil sometimes, it makes the hair feel really nice, and it's totally natural, it also helps in the absorption of minoxidil, most ketocanzole shampoos like regenepure and big 3 have it listed as an ingredient. 3 months is the hardest months, don't worry growth will start soon, im another 3 months you'll look back at these times like a distant memory.
Cheers mate thanks for the tips. Iv stopped buzzing it last week at 3 month mark so now I'm bracing myself. It will be the first time I havnt buzzed in 2 and a half years
  2. Hey mate iv been using minoxidil for 1 year now and I recently changed to the liquid from the foam. I found the foam easy to apply and it dries fast but just felt like it wasn't actually getting to the scalp too much on the hair. With the dropper u can drop liquid directly onto scalp and can do it very precisely. Each guy has a preference but for me the change from foam to liquid is so far so good

  3. I'm approaching 3 months at the end of this week. I'm happy with what early growth iv seen so far but really hope it picks up frm month 3 to month 4. Iv no reason to believe that it won't but of course u always have doubt when u are impatient. My 1 week post op hair which I was so excited lookin at seems like a distant memory. I Just need to hang in there and look at the likes of yourself as encouragement that results do come

  4. I can see the growth you're talking about, it's gonna be small changes, from month 3-4 hopefully that's when things really start picking up. After hair transplants is the only time goes by so slow lol.

That's the truth HT soon time is going so so slow. Least we are all in a similar boat as one another. It's crazy to be checking like I do at 8 weeks especially when I'm still buzzing my hair but I can't help it haha.

@hairsearch I will try find it mate cheers

  5. Hey man..

You should not expect a difference to the 3 months mark..

I think month 2-4 are the toughest and yeah im 1 week after my 3 month mark so i know what im talking about :)

Patience is the key... but it sucks :P

I cant wait for my 4 month mark as from there it will hopefully get better and better from week to week.

Now my head is very itchy, and there is a lot of new growth. But all in different lenght and density is hopefully not at the maximum now because thats not enough :P..

Im looking forward for your progress and wish you fast and good growth.

    Remember, it takes time ;(

Cheers mate I'm find the patience part very hard but we have no choice in it. Have you got a thread ? I hope you grow well man

  6. Hi this is my first post and really my first real step in seeking any guidance am certain I want to go ahead with procedure just unbelievably nervous about making the decision on where to go as I don't have a big budget and am worried about the result looking cheap i have came across dr saifai before and liked what I read but really need someone to put my mind at ease thanks

Feel free to message me man. I'd be glad to help if u need any advice.

  7. I am 7 weeks post op and am going insane looking in the mirror for growth daily I kno it's foolish but can't stop myself. I'm seriously impatient and am wishing the days away. If I look at my head under the red light of my hairmax lasercomb I can see tonnes of tiny hairs which are invisible if I switch the lasercomb off and this gives me hope that the hairs are coming along. I can see some others quite clearly but overall to look from normal view I look pre op state

  8. I really enjoyed your initial post and think you made some good choices. I think that it sounds like you got good advice from your surgeon. You should hopefully get a good result from what you had done and you have lots of donor left going forward if you decide on more HT.
cheers mate. Appreciate the input. I'm 7 weeks post op so just have my fingers crossed waiting. I can see some early growth which is encouraging
  9. The reality is most people who use the lasercomb myself included

Use it in conjuction with other treatments such as minox or FIN so it can be very hard to no whether improvement is coming from the laser or from one of the other treatments. I read one study where a doctor said it's possible to regrow up to 13 hairs per cm Sq. but she felt the effort was not worth it considering time needed to use it. The question is would 13 hairs extra per cm Sq. be worth it for a diffuse thinner. I reckon it would be. I use the LUX 9 comb and intend to keep it in my arsenal. I could not unfortunately say it regrows hair but I have halted loss using it in conjuction with minox

  10. To make a somewhat larger point, I think that this bulletin board, and most internet bulletin boards in general, are skewed towards the extremes. For example, look at how many mega sessions get posted here, but the average HT in the USA is still between 2000-2500 grafts.

I have noticed here and on other hair loss boards that results posted tend to be one of two kinds:

    1) Look at how amazing my results are!

    or

    2) Look at how awful my results are!

This is, essentially, sample error. Statistically, most average patients have average results and probably do not bother to post pics.

Could there be a bigger problem with FUE having less than stellar results more commonly than FUT? Possibly. Can we say so based on the postings on the board? I'm not so sure.

I think this concept is flawed by the masses of people that post their immediate HT and then post pics monthly etc of their progress. how are they to know whether their transplant will be successful at the time of posting immediate post op photos? I have seen people progress with both excellent and average results but to insinuate there is some kind of premeditation associated with the results which are posted here is ridiculous

  11. And I'd agree with Romperstomper - it's not the pain that puts me off strip. I'd prefer fue (if it worked for sure), but I haven't ruled out strip. What's going against strip for me is the possibility of a stretched scar and the increased downtime after the surgery. But in both cases I'd dread the following months when it'd look crap and people would know I'd had an op - and that's probably as big a factor as any that's stopped me going ahead with an op.

Newbie I had an FUE with 2,050 grafts by surgeon Marwan Saifi in poland who performs both FUT and FUE. he maintained a good surgeon should be able to perform both procedures as good as each other. He leaves the decision totally up to the patient. He does all the extractions and all the incisions himself. Techs only implant grafts. He even left a strip of untouched grafts in my donor area for the possibility of me changing my mind and considering an FUT down the line. He advocates for hair transplantation as a whole and not which procedure is better. When I had various consultations with top clinics I was told I need 4,000 grafts 5000+ grafts etc. Some docs will fire as much grafts into u as possible and look for wow results as opposed to developing a plan with the patient and factoring future loss etc. It's shouldn't be FUT vs FUE it should be FUT or FUE the choice is urs. Finding an ethical surgeon is one of the most important factors in deciding who to go to in my opinion.

  12. Congratulations. You're tougher than the rest of us.

I've spoken to enough people personally to know this is a factor for many. It just is. Someone chimed in already admitting it ;)

No reason to be offended. Truth is its completely reasonable to be worried about being cut open. Obviously this assumption excludes you.

Yet I sense a very sneery tone to your message. I have a metal plate and screws and pins in my body so I genuinely mean it that I do not fear the pain of FUT it is indeed the scar which put me off the FUT as I like to cut my hair short. You obviously have a low opinion of the fellow forum members. Christ even boob jobs require incision.

  13. People love to focus the narrative on scar vs non-scar, as it detracts from the real concern they share: incision vs non-incision.

I mean this in most respectful way possible, but there's a "wimp" factor at play. Its more acceptable to say you dont want a scar than admitting you dont want to be cut open. I do wonder how many went with FUE in fear of the pain.

I'll readily admit, that was my biggest fear going into surgery. I thought I woud be immobilized and hurting for weeks. It was bs on my part--I was just afraid of getting cut open. As it turns out, the pain was minimal and I was feeling fine after a week. The post op aesthetics have proven much more taxing.

Have to say this is total bullsh*t iv had surgery before and quite extensive at that and pain doesn't bother me in the slightest it was the scar that was off putting. I'd let a player cut me open anyday if the results would be superior but that big nasty looking scar is the off putting factor. With respect to u this assumption of urs is disrespectful and mis-guided largely by ur own fears I would guess.
