    Hello everyone,

Just a quick update on my HT with Dr Saifi Poland. It's been just over a year since I had my first transplant and the results have been amazing. So much so that I became greedy and went back to Dr Saifi to get another top-up on some of the areas that I felt could do with a bit more density and slightly lower the hairline.

Below you can see the results of the first transplant: (Sorry about the poor quality photos bu I am trying to crop out family members :)

This one is 10 months after the TP, the photo is taken outside in natural light.

This next photo is taken indoors, please excuse the doodle my little kid put on the photo, also around the 10 month mark.

Finally this is 12 months after the HT and right in the middle of lock-down with no possibility of getting a haircut. My hair was very long and brushed to one side to hide any thin areas. If the wind blew it would look different :)

So as you can see and amazing result but I did say I got greedy and wanted more so this is me today after an additional 1600 graphs 10 days ago with Dr Saifi (bringing the hairline down by around 2-3 mm and filling out the back. By the way the scar from the first treatment is almost impossible to see, even with 2 blade on sides and back.

Looking forward to Christmas when I will see the first of the new grafts come through.

One final word, especially for people living in Ireland. Don't settle for over inflated prices you will find with local surgeons. For me Dr Safi is one of the best Surgeons in the business and almost half the price of local clinics.

I agree 100% .  Less quality results also. Best wishes for a great result.

  2. Celebrities rarely choose the best doctors and clinics , it's the ones who give them a free HT they go with.

If your Hairline has been receeding that will be an issue as you are really young and most likely will receed further . On the other hand if you had this high hairline in your early teens you can consider surgery in conjunction with good advice from an ethical Doctor.

    Best wishes

  3. Hello @originalwonder  The most important thing is for single hairs to be placed first in the hairline , the double s behind that and triple s behind again. This is to ensure the hairline looks natural. It's the same for women and men. The hairline design and curve is different in women though.

It's not necessarily more expensive for FUE. Doctors prices vary, and their skill, especially from country to country and from all over the globe. In any case price should not be your main concern. It's getting a natural undectable hairline is your number1 priority. If you dont have the money now don't go for a quick cheap fix from the first HT doctor you come accross. You will regret the way you will look for the rest of your life.  If you need a repair to undo and recreate a hairline it will cost you twice as much as your first botched HT.

By the looks of your pic you won't need  a great deal of grafts to achieve a great improvement. I have seen higher hairlines in ladies. Take your time and don't rush your decision.Dont fall for hyped up marketing gimmicks. Do research on your doctors and see similar real patients results to you. Take Care.

    Paddy.

  4. As you do not have a major problem with a large degree of baldness over your scalp that is a positive starting point to address your issue. So in that regard its your hairline and no other areas as such.

Lowering a hairline will not need a really high number of grafts, especially for a female.  So it's not a major HT . When it's a small procedure FUE would be the way to go .  You can go with the celibrity type HT where the back of the head is only partially shaved, and your remaining hair covers the shaved area after the HT to disguise the shaven area. This is presuming your hair is long enough of course.

If it's short hair you have., FUE would still be the way to go. It's almost impossible to see any scars with the naked eye afterwords if your head is ever shaved down to zero. Go with FUT and you will have a scar, even if it's hidden, but that's not the point. Why go with a more invasive surgery ?  You would be cut and a strip removed from the back of your head. ? When it's a small procedure this would be absoutely needless .

Best of luck on your journey.

    Paddy.

  5. Great doctors can make a HT natural and undectable. Average Doctors make your hair look like what you describe. Hair characteristics can play a big part also , lots of other variables to consider also. HTs are an illusion of density,  so that has to be kept in mind.  Hairstyles can change an appearance of naturalness and help the illusion of density greatly.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder .

  6. It's important to try to hold onto your native hair for as long as possible when deciding on a HT.   Your HT will be a success providing you go to a reputable Doctor, but you don't want to lose your non transplanted hair and undo the good work of your HT.   Whatever way you decide to do that or not to do that is everybodys business and personal choice.  Having said that, you dont need finasteride for the transplanted hair. That will grow regardless of what you take , it dosent matter.

  7. I would evaluate what norwood number you would most likely end up with. Then you can Forcast how many grafts you have potentially left in the bank for the coverage you require.

Why would you waste 1000 grafts now into a small part of the crown ?   Then you lose more and before you know it you need another 1000 grafts.

@Melvin-Moderator and @Zoomster plan would be the way to go imo also. You don't have a large area to cover for the moment anyway.  If you have tried that already or you don't want to go down the meds and microneedling road you have another option.

If you are intent on having a HT I would recommend using 500 scalp grafts along with 500 beard grafts . These would blend in really well together . While at the same time preserving precious scalp donor grafts. I had beard grafts myself and no scarring to be seen by the naked eye . It's a great  compromise and would be the way to go imo if you are really intent on a HT.

    Best of luck.

    Paddy.

  8. The current situation is concerning for patients but more importantly for clinics themselves. When no international patients are travelling to the clinics , lots of business is being lost.  Their own domestic market may be the only option for business and even at that it can be a challenge especially at this particular time. Here's hoping in the not to distant future the situation will improve for all concerned.

    Paddy.

  9. Hello @Dodocc  yes that's a great question . Which doctors are considered the best.?   You are taking the right approach and doing your research.

After spending years researching and meeting top doctors and seeing patients results I had to make that decision for my own HT.  I decided to go to Eugenix in India to Dr. Pradeep and Dr.Arika. I'm really pleased I did as I'm really pleased with my result to date since I had my HT only late last Year.

Dr.Pradeep and Dr Arika are top Doctors and are achieving 10 out of 10 results consistently.  Even their skill level is ahead of so many other doctors as they can also treat patients with extreme cases of baldness that so many other doctors would simply say coverage and density isn't possible.   So even if you are not a high norwood level Eugenix are well equipped to give you a great result with great density and more importantly a very natural hairline . Your donor management will be their top priority where all the experienced team of doctors and technicans work together in a modern facility to ensure you get the best result possible.  Their DHT technique ensures the grafts are kept to a minimum out of body time to ensure very near 100% survival of grafts for a great result. All of this with a dedicated and really skilled doctors and technicans has consistently proven to be a winning formula.

Do your research well and never let cost be the deciding factor, but also more importantly distance . It's such an important decision , distance should not be a compromise.  Good luck on your research.

    Paddy.

  10. Over Time after your HT you won't care about the price of a great Hair Transplant,  or you won't remember the cost if your really happy with the result. Money will be at the end of your priority list. It's the result that really really matters.

However when you have a poor Hair Transplant first and foremost you will hate the way you look, and then you will for sure remember the cost of the HT, and this will eventually cost you a lot more money to fix .  Research .

  11. Yes that's correct that different hair characteristics will make a difference to hair density with the 50/50 rule in mind.

Also the hair style of that individual can make a huge difference in appearance in full density also.  Combed to the side is better than straight up in most cases especially if hair characteristics are not favourable.

Take for example a guy with fine straight hair, and another guy with wavy coarse hair...big difference.  It's all about preventing the reflection of light off the scalp.

Another example of black  hair and light scalp versus  blonde hair light scalp. No 2 heads are the same.

  12. @SilverFox you have coarse hair but should not be an issue for your hairline if you go to a top doctor.  Single soft slow growing hairs can be extracted from just over your ears and down towards the nape of your neck for a natural and non pluggy hairline.

Ask about what density you will be provided with , about 45 grafts per cm2 should provide good density with coarse hair.

    Take your time researching .

How much is Dr.Reddy charging ...£4 per graft on average ?

You could get a better result for less money elsewhere , but the money isn't a deal breaker, it's the result you must look to first as a top and only priority.

    All the best,

    Paddy
