Hello Dear Members of Hair Restortion Network, Thank you for your interest and questions which I would be glad to answer. In our clinic, implantation step is performed with a spesific implanter which has been developed and taken out a patent by me; Yaman Implanter. Different than classic implanter technique, in this spesific implanter hair follicles are taken from the upside of expert staff’s hand and they are pushed under the skin with the help of slice bar. The hair follicles are replaced under the skin without being touched by skin or forceps and by preventing any possible trauma which may be caused by crash or smash. So a possible damage on hair root, which may be caused by professional staff’s incidental mistake or causes making transplatation harder like hard skin structure, etc., can be prevented. Yes, Yaman Implanter is used similarly to Dr. Erdogan’s KEEP embedder. As you can see on the video, the tip of Yaman Implanter has not been designed for incision step, it is not sharp. Different than classic implanter technique, in this spesific implanter, incision step of operation is performed first so we aim to define hair roots growing directions correctly, the homogenization per square centimeter and the proportional hair density. the operations, where the number of graft is high, implantation step is performed by two technicians. This may risk the homogenization and hair roots growing directions at right and left sides. This risk is minimized by the methode where incision step is performed only by one person at the beginning of the operation. Also, because of that it is possible to create smaller incisions in the size of spesific implanter’s diameter than incisions which is created with forceps so this new implanter provide us denser transplantations. Hello Dear Members of Hair Restoration Network, First of all I would like to thank you all for your time to share your thoughts and doubts and giving me a chance to explain the situation here. We have already defined the patient whose nickname is “Hussein000” having had the hair transplantation in our clinic. We are in communication with our patient and work through to solve his problem which are caused by unsatisfied results. We would be glad to share with you about the findings on this case Thia patient had hair transplantation for 4680 grafts in our clinic. His analys form, which was filled during his consulttaion before the operation shows us that he had 4,5 micron thin-medium hair and his donor capacity was limited. During his consultation before the operation, he was informed about his donor capacity and his hair thickness. He was also inform about that he could not receive a final result in one session and he would need a second or maybe a third session, where his beard donor will be used in addition in the future for an acceptable density. During his consultation after measuring his recipient area, we have defined 39cm2 frontal and 130 cm2 midscalp for implantation which provides about 27 grafts per square for the implantation and considering 4,5 micron thin-medium hair, the density would not be sufficient in one operation. This is a case where the acceptable result can be received only after second or maybe a third operation where beard donor would be also used for providing extra grafts. We are in communication with our patient and we are on scheduling a second operation so now on. If the second and third operations are realized, we are very optimistic for a successful result. Also I would like to apology in behalf of Arabic interpreter about the lack of communication during post-operative period. We have already defined the patient whose nickname is “Details” having had the hair transplantation in our clinic. We are in communication with our patient and work through to solve his problem which are caused by unsatisfied results. We would be glad to share with you about the findings on this cases. Mr. “Details” case, who had hair transplantation for 4500 grafts in our clinic, is in high grafted and risky operational group. His analys form, which was filled during his consultation before the operation, shows us that he had mean 7 micron hair thickness and his donor capacity was good. After exemining his operation result, a poor rate of hair growth and damaged donor area has been deteched. In the operations, where forceps are used, the risk factor is higher. It is more effective to use bigger diamater punchs during the extraction in such cases. Generally, the internal diamater of the punches that we use for extractions is 0,7 mm and the external diamater is 0,82 mm. For this patient we had to use a bigger punch which its internal diamater is 0,9 mm and external diamater is 1 mm. The swelling and the healing process of our patient lasted longer than we expected and this was why more than usual scars appeared on the donor area. Although our medical expert staff had experience on thick folicule transplantation, they performed thoroughly and they were informed of that the operation had to be performed specificly because of his thick foliculs, we got unsatisfed result. As hair transplant surgeries have many possible risk factors, we might face some complications time to time.
