  1. Great result.

It would be great to see the crown.

How many grafts does he have left?

    Thank you.

We did not work on his crown.

He has another 2500-3000 grafts left. This patient has a good donor area.

This guy must be extremely happy. Another great FUE result. I'm sure he'll go back and get that crown filled in with a follow up procedure and then be golden.

    Thank you!

  2. Hi Swooping,

Many thanks. But are there any complications in doing so in terms of re-growth? Is it bad for the transplanted areas to have native hair covering it? I thought maybe the new grafts won't be able to 'breathe' etc. if there is native hair covering it every day and during sleep etc.

    What do you think?

And if there is anybody else reading would also appreciate your input.

No there shouldn't be any complications because of that. I mean on the operation day it's important you native hair doesn't get stuck in the crusts (blood) of your freshly implanted grafts. But thereafter I see no problems at all of covering your transplanted areas with your native hair.

  3. At seven months I'd have expected better than this. The hairline is so see through. Looks like some of the grafts didn't grow, but I guess there's still time.

Do note that this patient literally just hit the 7-month mark. So more growth may still come and maturation of his current hair shafts is still expected.

The lightning is also extremely harsh on the 7-month pictures as you can see.

We will try and update this case later when you can expect the end result is there. Thank you.

  4. I had my second procedure done by Dr Bisanga, he knows what he is doing and his confidence level is pretty good. I was refused FUT by two other docs recommended on this site but Dr B did it and my scar is pretty good.

The only issue with him is that he tends to complete all his work and then leaves the technicians to carry out the extraction and implantation. This leads to the work taking a long time and more importantly graft time out of the body being longer.

The issue that made me really disappointed with BHR clinic was that while paying the deposit, my bank managed to pay two lots of deposit which I did not realise until one month post procedure. However, at the end of my procedure they asked me to pay the outstanding balance without mentioning that they received twice the amount of deposit.

It took me a while to take my money back and not even received the full amount.

BHR let me down by not following my case up, currently 10months post procedure and had no follow up appointment with them.

Just to be careful when paying the deposit, they are friendly and good prior to procedure, however post HT it is hard to get any reply from them.

That's not what we strive for.

You got a PM from me. Please contact me with any issues/concerns/questions you have. Thank you.

  5. I don't know how old you are, but I don't think you have to give up the idea of a hair transplant. There might some miniaturization in your donor area, but it definitely isn't advanced whatsoever.

Frankly speaking, someone can only map for current miniaturization anyway, nobody can predict the future.

If you do have current miniaturization going on in your donor area then going on finasteride will be pretty damn important

Going for a live consult might be a wise idea.

  6. At best they will modulate your telogen/anagen ratio.

Telogen hair follicles have the ability to respond sensitively and promptly with anagen induction to a large array of stimuli. Think of growth factors, cytokines, immunomodulatory compounds etc (shown in many studies).

So it's logical that a treatment like PRP or LLLT can modulate this.

If you decide to go for it, I wouldn't expect anything to be honest from these treatments.

They definitely won't help in maintaining your hair.
