Yeah, this is unsatisfactory. I pray for you that it will still turn out well, but that's highly unlikely. I find the graft amount also pretty low also to be honest? But I guess that is another discussion.

Great result.
It would be great to see the crown.
How many grafts does he have left?
Thank you.
We did not work on his crown.
He has another 2500-3000 grafts left. This patient has a good donor area.
This guy must be extremely happy. Another great FUE result. I'm sure he'll go back and get that crown filled in with a follow up procedure and then be golden.Thank you!

You are an ideal candidate for medication to be honest, could really buff up your diffused areas.
For your hairline and to fill in the temple, I guess something like 1500-2000 grafts would suffice. If you want to enhance your crown or midscalp (if that is possible, I think you need a live consult for that) you will be looking at more.

Hi Swooping,
Many thanks. But are there any complications in doing so in terms of re-growth? Is it bad for the transplanted areas to have native hair covering it? I thought maybe the new grafts won't be able to 'breathe' etc. if there is native hair covering it every day and during sleep etc.
What do you think?
And if there is anybody else reading would also appreciate your input.
No there shouldn't be any complications because of that. I mean on the operation day it's important you native hair doesn't get stuck in the crusts (blood) of your freshly implanted grafts. But thereafter I see no problems at all of covering your transplanted areas with your native hair.

No, they won't dislodge that easy. You can hide your transplanted area with your own hair if you wish.

Like other already have said, AGA is unpredictable. No way to tell if you have stabilized now.

Has minoxidil worked for you in the beginning? Then it never "stops" working as long as you take it. If you stop with it though you will lose the results you have gained in the first place.
I don't think taking it 2-3 days a week is a good idea, either take it once daily or cut it out completely.
You could lose some, which can be significant even if you quit.

Good luck!

What are your goals? You have a lot area to cover.
You are a NW5 pretty much.
Are you on finasteride?

At seven months I'd have expected better than this. The hairline is so see through. Looks like some of the grafts didn't grow, but I guess there's still time.
Do note that this patient literally just hit the 7-month mark. So more growth may still come and maturation of his current hair shafts is still expected.
The lightning is also extremely harsh on the 7-month pictures as you can see.
We will try and update this case later when you can expect the end result is there. Thank you.

I had my second procedure done by Dr Bisanga, he knows what he is doing and his confidence level is pretty good. I was refused FUT by two other docs recommended on this site but Dr B did it and my scar is pretty good.
The only issue with him is that he tends to complete all his work and then leaves the technicians to carry out the extraction and implantation. This leads to the work taking a long time and more importantly graft time out of the body being longer.
The issue that made me really disappointed with BHR clinic was that while paying the deposit, my bank managed to pay two lots of deposit which I did not realise until one month post procedure. However, at the end of my procedure they asked me to pay the outstanding balance without mentioning that they received twice the amount of deposit.
It took me a while to take my money back and not even received the full amount.
BHR let me down by not following my case up, currently 10months post procedure and had no follow up appointment with them.
Just to be careful when paying the deposit, they are friendly and good prior to procedure, however post HT it is hard to get any reply from them.
That's not what we strive for.
You got a PM from me. Please contact me with any issues/concerns/questions you have. Thank you.

Most of them usually do yes .

I don't know how old you are, but I don't think you have to give up the idea of a hair transplant. There might some miniaturization in your donor area, but it definitely isn't advanced whatsoever.
Frankly speaking, someone can only map for current miniaturization anyway, nobody can predict the future.
If you do have current miniaturization going on in your donor area then going on finasteride will be pretty damn important
Going for a live consult might be a wise idea.

Do you have some pictures to share?

At best they will modulate your telogen/anagen ratio.
Telogen hair follicles have the ability to respond sensitively and promptly with anagen induction to a large array of stimuli. Think of growth factors, cytokines, immunomodulatory compounds etc (shown in many studies).
So it's logical that a treatment like PRP or LLLT can modulate this.
If you decide to go for it, I wouldn't expect anything to be honest from these treatments.
They definitely won't help in maintaining your hair.

Do you have some pictures you can share ?

hi Swooping,
yes my goal is fixing the hairline and temples with enough density. How many grafts would you advice as an astimate ?
thanks
I'd say 2000-2500, based on the picture.
-
Well, it's always many times better to take medication. AGA is unpredictable and you can't foresee the future. You can map for current miniaturization, but nobody in this world can map for future miniaturization.
Deviating from SDA only makes things riskier, I think that is where FUT shines anyway.
-
You seem to be a good candidate. I'd say you need 1500, max 2000 grafts.
-
Social media may have more implications than we think...
Yeah, very good point Gillenator, I agree that social media probably has a big impact.
Hopefully, this trend won't continue as the best information is found on forums like these imo.

Stay on finasteride continuously. Why do you go on and off?
Your donor is looking ok from what I can see. No need to use beard hair.
Also, what are your goals? I assume fixing your temples and strengthening your hairline?
You can't really work in your other areas as there is still plenty of density, that's why it's important that you stay on medication.

It does seem that forums overall get less crowdy. HLH used to flourish and so did BTT, both pretty much dead now.

Clean work. Will be definitely following this.
Are you decided on finasteride? If you want to reap the maximum benefits of your HT long term you def need to take it.
