Hi, I was wondering what people's experience was when making payment for hair restoration in Turkey with the whole cash payment only option that most surgeons have. I am scheduled with Dr. Erdogan in Feb. They gave option of paying with Euro or USD and said normal exchange rate would apply with USD but not sure if the exchange rate applied would be the one you see on the Internet or a Bank exchange rate which is not as good. Anyone got surgery with Turkish docs from US can chime in here? Did you pay in Euro or USD? How about the exchange rates and any tips on getting better exchange rates for carrying the cash? Nice work! Fair skin and light brown hair definitely give a good illusion of coverage. Do you have any stats as to what density the grafts were placed at throughout the head, what the distribution was (how many to hairline, how many to mid scalp etc.) as well as the patients hair caliber? Thanks

Looking very promising at just 5 months..goodluck! .I have similar pattern as yours and am also considering Dr Erdogan for a procedure....did you have 4.8k grafts extracted over a continuous 2 day period? Also do you have any stats from your surgery like individual grafts count, hair caliber, donor density etc? I heard that the techs do the extraction and implanting, Dr Koray does only incisions? Is that true and how did you feel about the experience.? Sorry for the barrage of qs trying to get more info..

Hi, I am considering FUE in the future and had a general query regarding how doctors harvest follicles for FUE. Usually from what I read and research upto 50% of original hair can be taken so as to not make a cosmetic difference in appearance for an HT, is that true? I see some docs like Erdogan and Doganay take 3.5 to 4k sometimes even 5k grafts from the donor area whereas someone like Dr.Lorenzo constantly takes 6k+ I ve seen even 10k+ from him. Some take hardly 2.5 3k and not more. Are certain docs harvesting more than others? Is this usually upto the patient to decide how much to let the surgeon harvest? Obviously it probably depends on how donor will look after harvesting but if 6k 7k can really be taken from donor without the donor not really looking bad, would it not make sense for everyone to do it?

Hi, I have read in some places on the web that using finasteride can increase the density of the donor area over a period of time. Is this true? Has anyone experienced this who have been taking it for a few years? Sorry if this has already been answered before.

Hi Blake, did you happen to get a response from Dr.Doganay regarding these concerns? I am seriously considering him for a procedure but some of the threads recently have been concerning with not so good results and the fact that they are rushing procedures too quickly

Curious to know where grafts were placed and where hair and beard hair grafts were particularly placed? Do you use beard grafts only for vertex or evenly distribute them throughout the scalp?

Hi folks, Planning an HT sometime in the future, what is generally the acceptable density of grafts per cm2 to achieve an illusion of coverage? Due to the amount of 1/2/3/4 hair grafts available, would this vary as per the region being covered? Also, beard grafts I hear are thicker than scalp grafts, if that is the case would lets say 500 beard grafts appear denser than 500 scalp grafts for coverage? Thanks

Excellent result doc! Were all hair grafts used for the procedure or some beard/body grafts were used as well? Seems like this person had a lot of multiple hair grafts implanted..what is the typical distribution of 1,2,3,4 hair grafts in an average person? Thanks
