  1. Thanks pma...hope your progressing well with your journey..you must be close now to the fireworks starting!!
  2. Hi All Just thought I'd post my 2nd/follow up procedure I had 12 days ago with Dr Lorenzo in Madrid. My 1st procedure is documented here :- http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/175672-3003-grafts-dr-lorenzo.html I'll keep this new thread going from now 1st HT was to address the frontal zone with 3003 graphs 2nd HT (8 months after 1st HT) was to address mainly the crown and some touch ups to hairline to add some additional density 2404 graphs. I've got to say the recovery and healing so far on the 2nd HT has been far quicker than the first ..hardly got any redness remaining even at 12 days post op this time round (took around 4 months to clear 1st time) Here are my stats and some pics following 2nd HT Grafts: 2404 in one day Hairs: 6421 Hairs/graft: 2.67 Singles: 166 Doubles: 684 Triples: 1344 Quadruples: 195 Quintuples: 15 First couple of pics are immediate post op. pics 3-5 are day 1 & 2 post op. Others are 12 days post op.
  3. Hey 1966kph Yes he did all the extractions at Farjo's. To be honest though the tech in Madrid was just as quick if not quicker than Lorenzo himself (I know speed isn't everything) but end of the day the end result is badged against Dr Lorenzo not the techs. Thanks I'll post some pics soon but only 4 days post op so nothing too significant to report.
  4. To back up previous post...I have literally just returned from Madrid for my 2nd/follow up procedure with Dr Lorenzo (1st in UK @ Farjo's when Dr Lorenzo was there) and confirm he does some of the extractions but all of the insertions. I had 2400 graphs - 1400 extracted by Dr Lorenzo & the remaining 1000 extracted by a specific technician..All insertions carried out by Dr Lorenzo.
  5. Depends how conscious you about the HT. If you decide to wear a hat then best to start wearing one on occasions now (assuming you currently do wear.one) that way it minimises any suspicions people may have.
  6. Awesome result! not surprised at all that you are getting compliments. Quick question - Did you see much noticeable progress from months 7 to 12? If so what did you notice?
  7. Been on Fin almost a year now. Not really experienced any sides - well not enough for me to quit using. I do feel fatigued more often but that could been down to a variety of factors including 3 children and age!!
  8. Looking good pma with donar healing very well. Definitely retained some of the transplanted hairs (i was fortunate to be in a similar position) which of course minimises the impact of the ugly duckling phase. Also think i can see pimples on your recent pics? Usually a sign of growth!
  9. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here :- Basically my Mum has cancer and currently NOT taking any chemo or radiotherapy. However as a result of her cancer her hair has begun to fall out to a point where she now wears a wig. Other than 2% minoxidil I am not aware.of any other treatments for females - does anyone know if there are any other FDA approved treatments/preventions? Other option of course is a HT but unsure whether the hair loss is temp or permanant so this may/maynot be an option. Only looking for suggestions so she can consult and share these with her Doctors. Ive already told her not to take any hair loss type drugs until she has consulted with the docs. Appreciate any comments.
  10. Cheers pma I've attached a zoomed in pic of hairline to show what i mean. I guess its where the insertions were made and looks (to me) noticeable where these insertions were made..maybe im just being paranoid. I'll check out with Dr L and see what he says. Hope your healing/progressing well.
  11. 6 month update Recipient area continues to thicken although I think I am all but done for new growth now. Still have the odd white wirey type hair that will hopefully mature and blend better into my normal hair over time. I still have slight pluggy type bumps in particular in the hairline - is this normal at this stage? Booked in to address crown on 17th Feb in Madrid so will hopefully be able to assess my progress better then.
  12. Congrats on your procedure. Looks very clean work and healing very well. I agree with your conservative approach to hairline design - Don't forget you can always grow hair below hairline anyway. How's the donar area - any pain? Gotta play the patient game now but 3 months from now...BOOM!!!
  13. Thanks David - I'll take a look at the link you provided. Thanks pkipling - i'll probably give your recommendation a go especially as you have tried every product out there!!
  14. I am coming up to 6 months post op now and for the first time in almost 10 years I have hit a problem albeit its a nice problem to have - I'm not sure which hair styling products to use!!!! Can any of you recommend any styling products that enhance your HT results and keep it looking the same or better? I want to avoid any gels/waxes that clump your hair together and leave gaps exposed. Appreciate any recommendations.
  15. I personally have not gained any weight however I do run 40-50 miles per week so maybe keeping any potential weight gain at bay. I have noticed a general increase in tiredness and lack of motivation though.
  16. Only just spotted this thread - awesome improvement Scooter! You still using concealers? Although cannot see your face, from the pics alone it looks like you've slashed 10 years off your visual age.....and I bet you feel a lot younger too!
  17. Thanks pma. Yes i was thinking around the 2000 mark now too. I'll see what Dr Lorenzo says and see if we were right! Wibbles & Squatch - thanks for your kind words..
  18. Hi Johnny Thanks! Yes i am very happy at the minute - main problem I have now is styling my hair!! Not sure what the density placement was but my general stats were Grafts: 3003 Hairs: 7134 Hair per graft: 2.38 Singles: 323 Doubles: 1231 Triples: 1405 4 hair FU’s: 34 Punch: 0.8 mm Hair thickness: 52 microns Good luck if you decide to go through with it. One of thd best decisions I've ever made!
  19. 5 month updates attached and very pleased with progress so far. Hair is thickening up every week now and new hairs continuing to pop through. I have flicked hair up at front to show hairline progress so far. I am looking to get crown done in the new year (see last pic) how many grafts do you think I need? I was originally quoted 3000 around 10 months ago but I have had improvements since from meds.
  20. Like a lot of people on this forum I've dappled in world of online dating (and did OK for myself) but called it a day whilst going though the motions of a HT and recovery process. I will be re - joining the online dating scene in the next few months or so but wondered how many of you noticed an increased success rate in views and actual dates following HT? If so by how much did views and dates increase by?
  21. Looks a great transformation and took years off you as well. cool facebook pic BTW! look forward to seeing the pre op pics in January
  22. Is there a reason why you are limiting your options to London? Suggest you expand your research further by looking into European surgeons as well.
  23. Looks like great progress! Do you have any pre op pics before shaving for the procedure? Be good to asses how well you have progressed.
  24. I had 3003 grafts over 2 days. Left side of head 1st day, right side 2nd day. 1st day took 7hrs (no break) 2nd day 5.5 hours (no break) I was happy not to have a break and interupt Lorenzo at work plus i wanted to maximise graft survival rate with immediate inserts following extractions. He had 2 techs loading the implanter and occasionally could hear him pressuring them to keep pace with him. Tried to time the speed of insertions it was something like one every 2-3 seconds. He uses manual punch for extractions He was only in Manchester for a year with the farjo clinic. If you want Lorenzo then you have to travel to Madrid now (i'm booking for my crown with him early next year) I know there are a few guys on this forum who are scheduled in for Nov & Dec so look out for their posts coming through. Hope this helps
  25. Certainly can confirm KO's comment above as I have experienced first hand. Dr Lorenzo puts immense pressure on the techs to load the implanter at lighting speed...trust me!! No sure about the Dr Vila aspect as I'm guessing this is the setup in Madrid (had mine done in Manchester)
