  1. In our opinion, manual fue is superior. We paid $250,000 for Artas. Tested it a couple of times and no longer use it. It's collecting dust.
  2. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Some additional info: the procedure was in 2008 and mostly singles were used. More answers below. Hope this helps. The patient does not suffer from hair loss and his family history does not indicate that his hair loss will progress. It's a very natural shape and was requested by the patient. Are you looking the immediate post-op pics? I doubt you would pick up on the fact that he had a beard hair transplant if you were having a conversation with him. In fact, I guarantee it Why? Because he wanted a thicker looking beard? How is this any different than getting a hair transplant? The patients wanted a thicker beard, which he achieved. He looks great!
  3. Here is an interesting case... The patient was having trouble growing a full beard. It appeared thin and patchy, especially when longer. To make his beard appear fuller, Dr. Rahal transplanted 1905 grafts via FUT. The patient can now sport the "5 o'clock shadow" he always wanted. The after photos are 5-days growth. Any questions, please let us know.
  4. When it’s two cases, it’s either FUT/FUT or FUT/FUE and one nurse/RN. Never FUE/FUE. It’s always FUT/FUT or FUT/FUE. Never FUE/FUE. There are times when techs from one FUT team will assist another (if needed), say for example we harvest 6000+ FUT grafts in one session. But for the most part, they would go home. Distinct teams. Each is an expert at one specific task; however, they are also cross-trained. FUT - 10 FUE - 6 Yes. There are seperate distinct teams for FUE and FUT. They specialize. Though all are cross-trained, dissection, etc. Dr. Rahal designs hairline, makes recipient areas, etc. Dr. Rahal and lead tech with over seven years experience for graft extraction. Techs for implanting. There is one team for FUE. They are guaranteed to get Dr. Rahal’s “A team”. Hope this helps!
  5. Hi PupDaddy... some great questions! Give me a couple of days to gets some specifics for you ok??
  6. Hi everyone, What matters here is that theflyer is not happy… we want to help him. theflyer will not return our calls or emails. We have tried to contact him many, many times. We don’t know what happened because we don’t have all the facts… We don’t know why theflyer did not contact us at 1, 2 or even 3 years post-op to say he was not happy… why did he wait 5 years? All I can I tell you that hair loss is progressive and that unless on medications to slow/stop your hair loss, you can expect additional hair transplants over the years. I would love to show you the overhead photo that we have on file. But we can’t due to patient confidentiality. BUT… in the end, all of this does not matter. We stand behind our patients and want to help theflyer. He has options including free work… We’re here for him and just want him to be happy.
  7. Hi guys! Couple of points... If there are two hair transplants in one day, there are two teams of techs… always One hair transplant is performed in the morning. The other hair transplant in the afternoon. Both patients have their own team of techs and Dr. Rahal’s full attention. This continues after the procedure… our after-care is exceptional. Let’s squash this rumor started now It's 100% not true. Most of our techs have been with us for 10-20 years. Combined, it’s over 100 years of experience. Our techs are VERY good at what they do. It’s a VERY important role at Rahal. A position we deeply respect. Why do our techs stay for so long? 1) Full benefits… 2) Free massages on breaks… 3) Free lunches… 4) And many, more perks… Hope this helps!
  8. Hi everyone, Just some facts…. theflyer contacted us 5 years after his hair transplant and said he was not happy. The photos that you see posted are from 4 years post-op. Dr. Rahal offered theflyer 1000 grafts for free and a discount towards additional work. Unfortunately, theflyer he is not responding to our calls or emails. We can’t help him if he won’t talk to us. We are trying to help you theflyer… if you read this, call us.
  9. This 31-year-old patient came to us as a Norwood 2. His hair loss had been slowed with medications, but his hairline had still noticeably thinned. He chose Rahal for Dr. Rahal's signature hairline design to frame his face and restore his hair's appearance, and decided on FUT to get a bigger session for a dense, youthful final result. With 2458 grafts harvested for a total of 4704 transplanted hairs (657 singles, 1356 doubles, and 445 triples), the patient's hair 11 months later shows the thick, natural hairline this patient was looking for.
  10. This patient came to us with a hairline that was receding at the temples and thinning at the front, leaving him with a visible halo of hair around around the mid-top of his head. He chose Rahal for Dr. Rahal's signature hairline design, getting 2553 grafts to anterior region of his scalp. That gave him 5010 hairs: 658 singles, 1333 doubles, and 562 triples. The results you see here were taken at the Rahal clinic in Ottawa 12 months after his procedure.
  11. Dr. Rahal, 1705 graft FUE on a Norwood 2, 12 mos. post-op This 39-year-old patient came to us as a Norwood 2 looking for Dr. Rahal's signature dense, youthful hairline. He chose Rahal FUE™ for the 1705 grafts he received (431 singles, 822 doubles, 390 triples, and 62 quads) to his frontal hairline to minimize the recovery time and invasiveness. He can now style his hair how he wants -- short and spiky at 9 months, and longer and back at 12 months!
  12. Dr. Rahal / 626 graft FUE / Norwood 2 / 12 mos. post-op This 30-year-old patient came to us with a problem: The left side of his hairline was youthful, while the right side was receding upwards and off-axis, with some recession resembling a Norwood 2. He felt uncomfortable with the asymmetry and imbalance this "invisible cowlick" gave his hairline. He chose Dr. Rahal for his hairline design, and Rahal FUE™ for the harvesting technique. He received 626 grafts to his hairline to fill it out, and was so satisfied with the results he opted for a second procedure to thicken out the hairline overall.
  13. Dr. Rahal / 2158 graft FUE / Norwood 3 / 6 mos. post-op This 33-year-old patient came to us with pronounced thinning in the front hairline, resulting in a thinning look extending back to his midscalp. This patient opted for Rahal FUE™ to add 1848 grafts for 4113 hairs total to his front hairline. The results you see here are obtained after just six months -- this patient still has plenty of maturity and growth to go!
  14. Hi Muscleheadofhair, I’m not sure if you missed the thread, but 404hairnotfound was advised to wait a couple of months. It was the non-transplanted hairs that shed. Not the transplanted hairs. It’s entirely possible that he will achieve some re-growth. Let’s give it time. We would like to address a few things... - We are not “money milking” anything. If 404hairnotfound decides to shave his head and move on, we will FUE his scar for free. Our goal is to make him happy. He will be charged nothing... - We did not cause the scar in the example that you cited, http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.co...ne-repair.html If you had of read the thread, you would have discovered that the scar was caused by another clinic and that Dr. Rahal reduced it to 0.7cm... To be fair, your statements like the "call” do more harm than good. It’s not a conspiracy. The “call” was to listen to 404hairnotfound’s concerns and provide solutions. We are here for 404hairnotfound and will do everything possible to make him happy. You are new to the forums… we are not. Our results are well documents. There are hundreds of happy patients on these forums. We are on your side... and do everything possible to ensure success for our patients. However, even the best clinics will have some unhappy patients. That’s the reality. There are factors we just can't control. You can do everything right... and some patients will still require a touch-up. What you need to look at is 1) does the clinic to everything possible to ensure success? and, 2) is the clinic consistent? Yes and yes. We are one of the most consistent hair transplant clinics in the industry and do everything possible to help ensure success. For example… did you know that to keep grafts hydrated, we use the same solution used to preserve organs (heart etc.) for organ donation and transport. Most clinics just use saline. That's just one example. There are many more. I think our record is pretty good.... over 5000 hair transplants and only a handful of patients had some concerns. Hope this addresses some of your concerns.
  15. Hi Cant_decide -- we can definitely show you what his crown looked like before. I'm not sure why this photo wasn't included originally, but here it is now, with the after shot again for comparison:
  16. Dr. Rahal / Norwood 4 / 3721 Graft FUE / 3 Years Post-Op This 30 year old patient came to us as Norwood 4 with severe balding in the crown. He had two Rahal FUE procedures with us. First he wanted his crown restored; the first procedure for 2107 grafts (115 1's, 987 2's, 1003 3's, and 2 4's) treated his crown. Several months later, he got his 2nd Rahal FUE treatment for 1614 grafts (525 1's, 893 2's, 190 3's, and 6 4's) to restore his frontal hairline. The results you see here show the progress he's made over three years.
  17. Dr. Rahal / Norwood 5 / 2808 Graft FUE / 6 Months Post-Op This 53-year-old Norwood 5 came to us looking to achieve Rahal's natural-looking, youthful hairline. He chose to get Rahal FUE™, with an original estimate of 2500 grafts. He ended up receiving 2808 grafts for a total of 4691 hairs: 1017 single-hair grafts, 1450 2-hair grafts, 250 3-hair grafts, and 6 4-hair grafts. The results you see here were taken at 6 months, meaning 6 more months of growth and maturity for the hairs. He was so satisfied that he booked a second procedure for another estimated 2000 grafts.
  18. Hi glocktop, I’ll start with that we 100% stand behind 404hairnotfound. We will make sure that he is happy in the end. Period. My issue is that you’re implying we had something to do with the non-transplanted hairs shedding, somehow altered his story and aren't producing word-class results… Let’s stick to the facts… 6 months results are great... non-transplanted hair shed at around 12 months post-op, possibly sooner. Let’s give it time, hope that everything bounces back and review his options then. We will make sure that he is happy in the end… I get it… people expect Rahal to produce some of the best results in the industry… and we deliver on that. However, there are times when a patient will need a touch-up. We call it the X factor. Nothing is 100%. It happens. We are dealing with the human body… there are things we can’t control. But rest assured we are doing everything possible to ensure success… from quality to training. Everything. We provide some of the best patient care in the industry… We have a department 100% dedicated to Patient Care. Our patient satisfaction rate is 98%. One of the highest in the industry. We survey every patient pre/post-op and ask for feedback about “everything”. And make improvements as needed. We listen. And take patient care very serious. We are booked 12 months in advance for a reason... Every clinic has some unhappy patients... Every clinic. Including the best. This includes every clinic on this forum. I challenge any clinic to say otherwise. These are the facts. It’s how the clinic deals with the unhappy patient that’s important. Our record is perfect… We have and always will stand behind our patients. Always. You asked what’s going on at the clinic… We are producing some of the best results in the industry. We are producing consistent results… Here are a few recent comments from patients and results... there are thousands more examples... In the mean time please extend my appreciation to Dr. Rahal, Michael and the rest of the awesome team again for a great procedure and ulmately, great results!! After comparing my post transplant results with my last surgeon and Dr. Rahal, there is NO comparison whatsoever and I mean NO COMPARISON !! Dr. Rahal’s density, hairline outline and overall shape is clearly outstanding! BTW, I am very happy with the process and patient care delivered by all the staff at Dr. Rahal I would really trust this company you guys are so consistent with customer service its taken me a while to get back to you as ive been in an intensive business course so my focus has been on that thank you http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176906-dr-rahal-2158-graft-fue-norwood-3-12-mos-post-op.html#post2405503 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176906-dr-rahal-2158-graft-fue-norwood-3-12-mos-post-op.html#post2405503 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176827-dr-rahal-2511-graft-fue-noroowd-5-9-mos-post-op.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176785-dr-rahal-fue-result-2818-grafts-7-months-post-op.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/176005-dr-rahal-fut-result-2946-grafts-9-months-post-op.html
  19. Dr. Rahal / Norwood 3 / 1569 Graft FUE / 12 Months Post-Op This patient in his 40s came to us as with frontal hair loss that would have left him with a wreathe of hair over top of his head, leaving his forehead looking large and exposed. With 1569 grafts for a total of 3060 hairs, he was given the results you see here.
  20. Dr. Rahal / Norwood 3 / 2158 Graft FUE / 12 Months Post-Op This 45-year-old patient came to us with a prominent widow's peak and recession pushing deep into his front area, leaving the signature island of hair forelock. He was looking for Rahal FUE™ to fill in the temples and bring the hairline down to a more youthful, natural look. The follow-up photos you see here were contributed by him at 12 months after his procedure.
  21. Hi 404hairnotfound, Thanks for bringing this our attention. I understand you're not currently satisfied with the outcome of your procedure, and while I can't comment on it before we evaluate it, I want you to rest assured that: 1. We're aware of your issue 2. We'll reach out to you As I said, we'll reach out to you and make sure you get your issue resolved.
  22. Dr. Rahal / Norwood 5 / 2511 grafts / 9 mos. post-op This 35-year-old patient decided on Rahal FUE™ to address his Norwood 5 male pattern baldness. He received 2511 grafts (for 5542 total hairs) placed in the mid-scalp and hairline during a single procedure, giving him good facial framing and a great cosmetic result. The follow-up photos for his hair transplant (at 9 months) show the results you see here. He's considering a second FUE procedure to fill in the crown area.
  23. Hey Rootz, I agree better quality after photos would be ideal. At one year, I'll reach out and try to grab clearer photos. In all fairness, you're implying that there are many flaws. It's a great result... the patient is happy. If anything, it's only going to get better, thicker and more dense. My only concern is that others will expect the same result so quickly. It's a waiting game... typically 12-15 months.
  24. Hi everybody, The patient is 37 and from Canada. He is just 7 months post-op from Rahal FUE and is ecstatic about the results. He has not styled his hair like this in years! As you know, he can expect additional density/thickening in the coming months, so the best is yet to come. Please note that the patient emailed the after photos. If you have any questions, please let us know. Patient Information Months Post-Op: 7 months Norwood Scale: 4 Procedure Type: Rahal FUE Treatment Areas: Front Graft Count: 2818 Hair Count: 6061 Country: Canada
