  1. abcd0000, As it's almost 2 months since your HT, do you still have much redness on your recipient or donor areas? If so, how strong is it? Thanks.
  2. Anyone with a brain reading this thread can make their own informed judgment on this case as to what is "true" or "untrue". There are indeed negative comments about a well known doctor on the thread but everyone has to remember that nothing has been concluded between the two people involved - ie, the doctor and the patient. Simply by shutting this thread down or locking it is not good for free speech on this forum. It should be allowed to run until the thread has been exhausted.
  3. Well there you go. Another piece of very interesting information for those seeking a HT and were wondering what the FU ballpark price was for surgery with Hasson and Wong.
  4. I certainly do not believe that HT surgery is only for the wealthy any longer. On this forum there are many examples of good work now being performed by fairly new or relatively unknown clinics in countries in like Turkey or Cyprus where living costs are on the whole much lower than in countries like the USA and the UK. One noticeable clinic that I have seen on this forum over the past few months which has produced very good FUE results is the Maral Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey. I am currently seeing adverts on the net by Dr Maral for his FUE surgery for only EUR 1,700 for between 3,500 to 4,500 grafts. I believe his prices even start from as low as EUR 1,500 including transport and hotel. This is a price range that opens up HT surgery to many people who could not otherwise consider HTs from many of the more well known clinics that are heavily discussed on this forum. What I believe would be very useful for many potential HT patients on this forum who are looking for FUE/FUT options is to have either a section or a thread where standard or guide prices of HTs are published. I am sure this would be a great help to people. This information would help people to filter out those clinics/surgeons that are "only for the wealthy" and could save everyone involved a lot of wasted time and effort. For example, if someone has a budget of say $3.00 or EUR2.50 per FU, they would not bother contacting Dr Wong or Dr Umar. I personally find it very frustrating having to send emails or filling in forms to various clinics for guidance/quotes on HT pricing, only to find that their quotes are complete out of my price league. Surely I am not the only one that would like to see at a glance those clinics that are in my price range, and those are outside of it. I am sure there are people who would say that the price of a HT is between the patient and the clinics. That may be so for individuals, but what I am suggesting is guidance on pricing only, after all many people on this forum openly state what they have paid per FU. For example, the prices per FU of Drs Doganay, Demirsoy and Erdogan in Turkey are openly and regularly discussed on this forum. To those clinics who would not want their standard prices to be publicly known, I simply ask what do they have to hide? Are they embarrassed by their pricing policy? Anyway, it’s just an idea that I thought relevant for this “only for the wealthy” topic.
  5. This may, or may not be so. In any event there are pros and cons with all types of procedures. The key point here is that HT options have increased for the patient.
  6. Future_HT_Doc, HARIRI, many thanks for your responses. It is good to know there are other top clinics offering/developing similar non-shaving HT solutions. To me the U-FUE or similar offers the best of both worlds of FUSS and FUE - it greatly improves the initial aesthetics of a HT procedure and is not so invasive as FUSS. It may mean less FUs in a single session, so may require several visits. This too can be an advantage to some people who want to have a gradual change to their hair. No doubt there are many others like me who are planning a future HT in coming months, but do not or cannot go through with the whole head shaving routine. I hope other clinics will start to offer similar procedures soon, expanding the choice for patients.
  7. Has anyone on this forum had a FUE procedure without having their head shaved (or most of it)? I would be keen to hear of your experience. I have recently read on an online version of a British newspaper that a colleague of Dr Reddy in London, Dr Thomy Kouremada-Zioga now performs what she calls U-FUE (Unshaven Follicular Unit Extraction). From the article, she charges GBP 4.00 compared to the usual GBP2.50 per FU. It is a relatively new service that they are offering, but apparently it is proving very popular. For me this looks like a great HT solution going forward and I am really pleased to have discovered this. The clinic is well known and the price per FU is reasonable as far as London/UK clinics go. The problem with current FUE HT procedures is that it rules out many people like me who work in certain professions and/or of a certain age who could not realistically turn up to work with a skinhead hair cut. Does anyone believe this type of unshaven FUE procedure could catch on in other HT clinics?
  8. I think it would be useful to know who did your FUT/FUSS as well as the FUE work. There are people like me who will only consider FUSS (strip surgery) as shaving my whole head for a HT is not an option. I would be keen to avoid the clinic you used if they are as bad as you suggest. So you could be doing some good for a number of potential HT candidates if you could mention who they were. Lets hope your final result meets your initial praises of HTI.
  9. If this is Jason Gardiner's pic then essentially all the answers to your questions are clearly mentioned on the Ziering website! They claim 3,500 FUs were transplanted using FUSS (folicle unit strip surgery) all from the back of his head, all in one session. Cost - not stated, but being a UK-based HT clinic dealing with "celebrities" it will no doubt be eye-wateringly expensive. Whether Ziering is being totally honest with the final post-op picture is debatable. Personally I find it hard to believe his final result with just 3,500 FU. As 1985matt suggests, the post-op pic may have included some concealer on his noggin to "help" give a thicker final look.
  10. I think this thread has really been started by a young school kid using fake pictures. No normal adult can write such childish things like this on a serious forum. Such language and childish comments does not serve anyone well and only diminishes the whole forum. It has turned into a script from Beavis and Butthead. The moderators, if they wish to maintain the quality, respect and usefulness of this forum, should now close this thread down forthwith.
  11. Many thanks JohnnyDrama for your comments and clearing up a couple of points. Clearly if it is up to the patient to request to look like the above pics post FUE - ie, to have only the donor area shaved, and to leave the rest alone - then I have no issue. If it was the HT surgeon's choice to make a patient look like a victim in the latest series of "Dexter" then that would be a different matter all together. Just a point about FUEs, from the hundreds of examples I have now seen on this forum, the vast majority appear to have their whole heads buzzed for shaven prior to the HT procedure. I would not say nick72's is a standard case from the many cases I have seen. Anyway happy growing to you both.
  12. I am sorry but how can any reputable HT surgeon leave your hair looking like your 3rd, 4th and 5th pics? It looks so ridiculous - part shaven at the back but full hair on top? It looks freaky and I certainly would not go with a surgeon who leaves my hair looking like that. If the hair needs to be shaven, why not shave the whole lot off? At least it would not look so bad. Or am I missing something here? I do not expect any HT surgeon would operate on a woman like that so why leave hair looking like that with a man? Am I the only one who thinks this looks wierd and unacceptable? Anyway, despite my comments I hope you are pleased how your FUE went and wish you well with your final result over coming months.
  13. Just saw your post. My answer to your Qs (although I am not an American): Q1. I am not able to tell whether you got 1,000 grafts in the mid top part of your head "to cover strategic gaps". The pics you have supplied do not show the work carried out over the past few days. Are you able to post 1 or 2 pics of your head showing the lastest HT work so a more detailed reply/valid opinion can be given? Have you discussed your concerns with your surgeon over the past few days? You said "or he did it so that I'd be less than pleased and eager to have more grafts done by him". My personal view I do not think any HT surgeon would carry out surgical work so that you would be less than pleased and eager to have more grafts done by him. He would be pretty dumb if he did have that view and I am sure he would not be in business for long. Q2. Re hitting your head on weight lifting eqpt after your HT - I am not qualified to answer that, but I too would be interested to hear from someone who is qualified to answer this. Again, have you spoken to your surgeon about this?
  14. Sorry, but is there something wrong with my monitor/web browser or has all the pics on this thread been removed? This is a very good thread for reference of what to expect after a HT. Lots of good info here.
  15. I think going to the Met police in London will be a complete waste of your time. From what you have described so far on this forum, the LHTClinic have not committed any obvious crime against you. You have not mentioned all the facts of your case, although you say they have not communicated with you very much, nevertheless you have a date booked for Wednesday of this week. Have you cancelled that date with them, or have they cancelled the appointment on wednesday? What does your contract say about cancellations? What the police will tell you based on the information you have provided is that the matter is a civil legal case, not a criminal case. Police do not usually get involved in civil cases in the UK. You will at least have a stronger case of being a potential victim of fraud after Wednesday. If you atttend on Wednesday and nothing happens, and you have not been made aware of any cancellation, then you will be in a much stronger position. What you are dealing with at the moment is contractual legal dispute. So far no contract has been broken from what I have read. They made you an offer, you accepted their offer and there has been consideration paid (which was GBP3,000), so legally there is a valid contract in force. The only issue is whether they carry out what they have contractually agreed to do on Wednesday. If they do not then there is a breach of contract. As I have mentioned before, I strongly recommend going to see a lawyer first. Some solicitors even offer first appointments for free. Otherwise it may cost you (GBP 60-100) for a consultation, which may be money well spent. A lawyer can look at your legal documentation and advise on the contract that you have entered into. They can also advise on any fraud issues too if there is evidence that fraud is being committed. By the way, just because you may have been naive does not mean that you have to accept a loss of GBP3,000. You have every right to obtain justice/reimbursement if legally entitled to it. Hope this helps. Good luck.
  16. I would like to give you some additional advice. I note that you intend to confront these guys about getting your money back. It is absolutely essential that you plan ahead for your meeting or visit to the clinic. I am sure you will be emotionally charged (and perhaps rightfully so), but it is essential that you remain calm, in control and logical. Please try not to get emotional as emotions so frequently end up making a bad situation even worse. (It is why lawyers are so good in such situations as they are calm and focus on facts alone.) I would gather all the relevant facts of your case, stating what you expected or signed up for, what you actually paid and what you actually got. This will make it so much clearer for everybody to see where the issue is. This will also be a useful exercise in fact-gathering if it proceeds to a legal case - you will need to logically set out all the facts (avoiding emotion as the law does not recognise emotions, only facts). If they refuse to speak to you regarding your grievance (which is quite possible), you might want to leave a (pre-written) letter with them outlining all the facts as I suggested above. In that letter you should state that you will commence legal proceedings against the clinic unless they respond within 7 days. If they have not responded within 7 days - go to a solicitor. Don't bother wasting more time with phone calls, visits, emails, etc as the facts will have been made very clear to them. Make sure you always keep details of phone calls, copies of emails you have sent, copies of contracts signed, etc. Good luck, and keep us informed.
  17. Hello, I had another look in to this unfortunate affair and found some additional troubling facts. "The London Hair Transplant Clinic Limited" went into liquidation in December 2012. The trading address of this company was 1 Harley Street, London. The sole director of the company was a Mr Parvez Zoha. He owned 100% of the company. The company owed a total of GBP 464,650 to unsecured creditors. That was a substantial amount of money. A large part of that debt was relating to taxes owed too - in fact GBP280,000. Quite simply, if you owe that amount of tax to Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs, you must have received a substantial income in the first place. Mr Parveh Zoha also happened to be the new sole director of a new company "London Hair Transplant Clinic Global Limited" that was formed in 2012. The registered office and trading address was the same 1 Harley Street, London. I notice that there is now a new director of this company - a Mr Yasir Ishaq. You can conclude from these facts (obtained from public records) whatever you want. From the above information I have gathered, coupled with the appalling service provided to a number of people on this forum who were simply looking for an honest clinic to provide a professional HT solution, the current "London Hair Transplant Clinic" has some serious explaining to do if it realistically expects to remain in business. Buyer beware!
  18. I am amazed that people part with their hard-earned money so quickly without carrying out appropriate checks. There are some sad cases described on this thread. I looked into the London Hair Transplant Clinic and there was a company of the same name ("The London Hair Transplant Clinic Limited") based in Essex, UK that entered voluntary liquidation in December 2012, so if anyone entered into a valid contract with them, then there is not much chance of getting anything back now. Interestingly, another company was created last year in July with a slightly different name based at 1 Harley Street, London called "London Hair Transplant Clinic Global Limited". As a professional bean counter I know that this is the kind of activity that professional criminals indulge in. They set up a company, obtain money by deception from naive trusting sources, and then close down the company leaving customers/creditors out of pocket, and then they start up a new company to do exactly the same thing again. I am not saying that this is the case here, but it appears to be so from what I have seen and read. The London Hair Transplant Clinic is certainly not helping itself by ignoring paying customers who acted in good faith. If anyone feels they have been defrauded by this company, you might want to start by looking at your contract with them. You will undoubtedly have something in writing that will include who you actually contracted with. You need to check the legal status of the party you contracted with. For example, "The London Hair Transplant Clinic" could be a limited company, a partnership or even a sole trader. This is usually clear from the contract that you entered into. This will have a bearing on any future action you may want to take against the business. Once you have established who you entered into a contract with you should write to them at the address stated on the contract (or registered office if a company) setting out your issues and giving them appropriate time to respond. If they do not respond, or fail to settle your agrievance, you might consider making a claim for the amount of your loss (+ costs) in the Small Claims Court (now up to GBP10,000 in England and Wales). This action will at least force them to tackle the issue with you to get the matter resolved. If judgment goes in your favour, they will have to pay up. If they fail to pay within a month you will then have to enforce the judgment by getting a bailiff to get the money from them. If you feel you are subject to dubious trading activities, you may also want to contact the local trading standards office of Westminster City Council. They have the power to shut them down if they are found to be acting illegally. There is an easier way, and perhaps a quicker way of getting a resolution - simply go to a solicitor. A letter from a solicitor will not cost very much and usually gets a response. If they fail to respond then the solicitor can help you to take action in the Small Claims Court (you can also claim for the solicitors costs too). It's a messy and stressful business which ever way you look at it when you have been cheated out of your money. I have personally been there in the past which resulted in my spending over GBP 40,000 on legal fees alone against an individual who effectively stole a lot of money from me. I won in the end by getting the High Court to freeze all his assets, but it took 2 years and huge amounts of stress ( - it didn't help my hair loss issue one bit!!). My advice to anyone is to avoid getting into such a situation in the first place and do careful research beforehand on the HT clinic, the surgeon and his/her results. This forum is a great way of getting a lot of information upfront before making what is a life-changing event.
  19. How far am I? I am still gathering info about a surgeon/clinic to use in the next 6 months. I don't know why but when I see the latest pics of s2thoudriver I keep thinking he is a double of the young guy in Breaking Bad!
  20. Hello, How long is the recipient area supposed to stay red from the time of the HT before it normalises? Thanks.
  21. Hi, There are several people mentioning Dr Marwan Saifi in this thread who have had a HT procedure with him, but there are no links to any pictures or web sites where any actual work carried out by him can be viewed. Can anyone please post pics or at least a link/blog where you have posted pics of Dr Saaifi's "wonderful" work so we can all see. If I could see some of his work I may actually consider him for a HT. Many thanks.
  22. I see Dr Maral has given detailed instructions on this web site for post HT care: maralhairklinik.com/en/mikrofue-after He suggests moisturising from day-3 after the procedure with him.
  23. Very useful feedback, many thanks. I have read on this forum that it can take 8-12 months for all hairs to finally grow out, so it will be interesting to see how your growth progresses over the next few months, hopefully you will increase your score above 87%!
  24. Hi UK43, Your latest pictures of your HT look good. However at the end of the day has the growth you have experienced after 7 months met your goals or do you think it has exceeded them? Do you think you have any further new growth to come from your HT with Dr Maral? Thanks.
  25. Hi 'Another', When did you have your HT done with Dr Maral? Do you have any pics of the procedure you had?
