  1. Is it just me or was your first procedure with Dr. Bhatti unsatisfactory?
  2. Very nice result for just 6 months of growth. More importantly, the hairline looks solid. You'll be happy with the end result for sure!
  3. If you compare the previous shots Ive posted, they've all been taken in the exact same lighting. Was there something specific you had in mind?
  4. This picture shows growth 1 year after the ARTAS FUE procedure. I'd love to hear your thoughts as Dr. Paul has stated that this is the end result and near 100% of the result has been achieved.
  5. I really like the result! Suits your head perfectly. I gotta say I'm quite impressed with Bhatti
  6. Looks like planted marketing post. Moderators will likely get involved
  7. I would definitely say that the result is very noticeable but the hairline is not yet as desired. Dr. Paul Shapiro did state that it would take more than a year...sometimes up to 18 months. I'm prepared to give them to month 15 before getting worried.
  8. I would agree that I am quite disappointed with my hairline as well. There are days when I think it was better 3 months ago. This is something I intend to raise to SMG but I want to give them the time that they have asked for. That being said, there have been several positive developments: New hairs sprouted up until the 8 month mark. Quite late compared to other procedures but that seems to be the trend with ARTAS. Since month 9, my grafts appear to be thickening and I am seeing some recovery from the shock loss. Yesterday, in fact, I couldn't see any scalp for the first time. Not a bad result for being an estimated 25-30% away from the final outcome.
  9. I participated in the SMG's trial of the ARTAS machine, which is why I was able to afford it. To the best of my knowledge, I am the only patient of theirs with 100% ARTAS grafts - no SAFE punch system used, which is why I hope to keep them fully informed of my progress. Dr. Paul and Dr. Ron both worked on my case and stated multiple times that the grafts looked great. I'm beginning to see the results Here's my latest shot taken towards the end of November, or at entering month 10. I can definitely see thickening of the grafts, though the hairline still isn't close to what I expected it to be.
  10. I'm now well into month 9 and I have to admit that I'm seeing less scalp than before. While my hairline isn't close to what I expected it to be, I can definitely see a difference over the last couple months!
  11. I've been told that my growth is slower than the norm by Dr. Shapiro as well. In month 7, the range is typically supposed to be 60-80%. I was told that I was at a low 60% of the range.
  12. I've been told that my growth is slower than the norm by Dr. Shapiro as well. In month 7, the range is typically supposed to be 60-80%. I was told that I was at a low 60% of the range.
  13. This picture was taken exactly 7 months and 10 days after my procedure. Dr. P Shapiro was nice enough to provide his view on the outcome so far. He believes that typically, patients see 60-80% result at this stage. My growth is happening slower than normal, which puts me in the low 60's %. I may have to wait for more than a year to see the full results of the procedure. I could really use any thoughts from the more experienced folks out there. ARTAS is still a very new technology and I'm hoping that my decision to use the robot pays off.
  14. I'd like to see this thread stay open as well and would urge you to reconsider your decision to lock. Reason: there is a lack of transparent feedback centered around the negative experiences of transplant patients.
  15. For those of you unfamiliar with the historical dynamics at play here, let me state that this thread stopped being about Hair Transplants the moment India came into the picture. The two nations and their people have been at each other's throats for over 60 years and, if this thread is an indicator, will be for years to come. In my opinion, some of the posts made here are an embarrassment to the nationalities being discussed and do a decent job of reflecting why both countries will always trail behind other nations who's citizen's chose more constructive endeavors.
  16. I was under the impression that over 65% of the end result can be expected in between the 6th and 7th month. I'm going to go with the experience of the many and hold on for the end result but I'm very curious to hear anyone else's opinion
  17. Just crossed the 6 month mark. Note, hair length is at its longest since the procedure. Felt the last of the small new hairs a week ago. All in all I'm not quite sure what to make of the results and would love experienced opinions
  18. I had a similar procedure with Dr. Paul a few months ago, using the ARTAS machine. Take a look here http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170216-artas-fue-transplant-dr-paul-shapiro-2007-grafts-3.html It might show you what you have to look forward to!
  19. In a way, part of my reason for doing this was the prospect of partnering with SMG as the clinic helps develop the technology. I was thrilled to see both the Dr. Shapiro's excited about the technology!
  20. Honestly, I really can't tell at this stage. Earlier it was easy to say no but now I'm not sure if these are the transplanted units or regrowth of the shock loss. I've posted earlier pictures. Feel free to take a look and chime in with your comparative thoughts
  21. Update @ 3 months exactly. Please note that my hair is a bit longer, which shouldn't be mistaken for thickness.
  22. Here's a picture a couple days shy of the 2 month mark. As you can see, there's no sign of growth. This really is the ugly duckling phase as the shock loss has increased scalp visibility to levels higher than I've ever seen on my head. I actually had a cute girl come up to me and ask if I was doing anything about it  The topical Finasteride + Minoxidil regimen continues...
  23. I went in to AHS for a quote. The "expert" wasn't a doctor. He wasn't even medically licensed. He was just a dude who had fooled hundreds of chumps into signing up for substandard transplant surgery or for the medicine packs (minoxidil + laser). Stay away from Advanced Hair Studio as I did. There are better Doctors in the Mumbai region
