  1. Yes i am sure the beard grafts are all singles, however i am not sure of the breakdown. Hopefully Dr Hakan could chime in and give us the figures.
  2. Right guys as some of you know i have been away for a few weeks in Turkey, and had the pleasure of spending some of this time with Dr Hakan and he's team. During this time i asked if i could meet patients and interview the Doctor and meet patients i did! In total i got to meet about 4/5 patients, some grown out and some a day or two after and i have to say the work was great. It was nice talking to these patients and hearing their stories, and everyone of them had the same thing in common, they told me they smile a lot more:D Really was nice seeing how these guys life's changed for the better. Below i have posted an interview with a patient who had 8500 grafts:eek: I think 2000 was from the beard, and honestly meeting him i couldnt believe my eyes and you guessed it this guy was over the moon and please bear in mind he's 3rd procedure is only a few months out. I can honestly say after seeing the work and the Doc in live action, Dr Hakan is a great choice for guys thinking of having FUE in Turkey and this may seem like i am promoting him a little, but i dont care the work was fab:D Over and out... Enjoy guys!
  3. Really impressed with Dr Reddy's work recently. He seems to get great results using minimum amount of grafts. Very natural and a nice subtle improvement.
  4. Erm....Lorenzo, Keser, Hakan, and Koray place all the grafts themselves and have been doing so for years and do not have any Techs involved in this process and have had no problems in regards to fatigue. And for me personally i prefer this method.
  5. It sure is...i got to see many results when i visited Dr Hakan and i was very impressed and as others have stated, you also have the likes of Koray and Keser. Turkey is a hotbed for FUE Docs, and the cost is great too:cool:
  6. Cheers Mick, i look forward to hearing all the final details. In fact the Farjo clinic and you were one of the first Docs/reps i spoke to about 6 years ago regarding a HT procedure, and the advice and info you gave was very ethical and set me on the right path. I have a lot of respect for the Farjo clinic and this is great move in regards to Lorenzo.
  7. I am becoming a big fan of the implanter pen, after watching this technique used quite a few times this week. I at first was very wary of this technique but i can certainly understand now, why some Docs prefer to use this method, especially FUE.
  8. It is great to see another solid FUE doc posting some nice results on the forum, however 6 pound a graft:eek: No disrespect to Dr Reddy, but the option of going to Belgium (Bisanga, Mwamab, feriduni, Reys, Pro-hair etc) Turkey (Hakan, Koray, Keser etc) is way cheaper and a much better option than paying these cost in the UK. And the work is much better, just my opinion.
  9. Has the cost been confirmed for FUE with lorenzo?
  10. Very nice for only 1277 grafts. I have seen some Docs place 2500 grafts in an area this size. which would you prefer?
  11. Quick update... Today i went to see the Doc perform a procedure and had the chance to meet a patient who has had over 8000 grafts, some using BHT and i have to see it was amazing work, why cant we all have donor like that! Do not worry, i have recorded the Doc performing the procedure and threw some questions in there, and did an interview with the 8000 graft patient. I will be posting these soon, however it is time for me to relax and enjoy the Turkish sun/sea and maybe a beer:)
  12. Cheers Bronte, you are in great hands:) It was a tough decision telling my girlfriend, but thankfully she is being very helpful and understanding, and shall be coming out with me next time i have a procedure.
  13. Cheers 1978matt, it has been a pleasure meeting him. Have you picked a hat yet!
  14. Cheers chrisdav, the forum has helped me in the past few years so it my turn to give something back if i can. It has been a great experience meeting him and if it helps potential patients:D
  15. Not to worry pal, Dr Hakan has promised to post more results on here for you to see, and hopefully will post some of he's recent patients who have just undergone a procedure with him. The work looked great. Hopefully i can make a trip to Istanbul and meet Dr Koray, that would be great. And Anatlya is very nice, i am staying in the old town near the sea, i am guessing it is less hectic than Istanbul.
  16. Cheers guys, i will try and get as much information as possible, it has been a great experience. I have decided to delay my procedure:(... The Doctor knew i was quite nervous and i honestly thought i was 100% certain about going ahead with the procedure, however i guess i was not! My hair loss is not to bad to start with and it is something i can live with for a while and keeping it a secret from the other half of nearly ten years did not go down well (told her 2 days ago), she wanting to be involved in regards to big decisions in my life and all that, so she has decided to come to Turkey with me in the not to distant future to support me during my procedure...i have to say it was a relief telling her. The Doctor was fine about this and said my happiness is he's priority and when i am 100% certain then he will be happy to proceed, oh and i insisted on paying him but he wouldnt take a penny from me. Really is a great guy/Doctor The trip has not been wasted however, i have been able to see patients, some right after operation and some grown out. And the results are fantastic, i couldnt find any signs of surgery and the results were totally natural. The Doc really is a genius. Tomorrow Dr Hakan has invited me to see him perform a procedure and meet a guy who has had 3 procedures (8000 grafts). The Doctor has stated he will be posting these results on here, and some of the repair work which looked great. Yesterday i spent the day with the Doctor looking at results and talking about he's techniques, methods etc. really has been a great insight. I guess i have found my Doctor for my procedure, now it it is just about being ready to go ahead with the procedure:confused: Any questions, i will be happy to ask him. Regards.
  17. I discussed this in detail with him yesterday and was fortunate to see a patient who had beard hair extracted using this method and i could not see any signs of surgery at all, i was very impressed. The Doc claims it is about the skill of the surgeon using the tool, and he believes this gives him the best results, however manual is possible if the patient prefers.
  18. Dear members at the moment i am in Antalya with Dr Hakan Doganay and have asked him if it would be fine for me to interview him and post the question and answers on this forum, and he has kindly obliged. So here goes.... Q - What extraction tool will be used for extracting the donor? A - Hand held micro-motor or Manual punch if need be. Q - Who will be extracting the donor? A - The Nurses (supervised by the Doctor) Q - How experienced are the nurses? A - All nurses are trained by the Doctor, and have not been trained in hair transplantation before, so therefor know the clinic's technique and have over 20 years experience between them. Q - How many FUE operations have you completed successfully? A - Over 1000 FUE operations completed since 2008 and 500 FUT before 2008 Q - How involved is the Doctor? A - The Doctor is involved in all the process, i.e hairline, placement...the nurses place the grafts in the pen for the Doctor Q - Is the cost fixed at 2 euro per graft (Any hidden charges? Tax) A - 2 Euro without accommodation and transfers- 2.5 Euro with accommodation and transfers etc (No flight) BHT- 2.5. Euros on all areas No hidden charges. 3.5 Euros if manual extraction Q - Does the hair need to be shaved down. A - It is fine to keep the hair as it it, however we prefer the hair to be shaved. (no charge) Q - Why do you use the choi implanter pen? A - We have tried many techniques for procedures and compared to healing time, operation scars, density and natural appearance, we found this technique the best. Q - Do you perform any other procedures at AHD clinic? A - Eyebrows, beard and moustache transplants. Q - Do you have any experience with repair patients? A - We are happy to treat 5-6 repair patients per month, however only if possible. Q - Do you treat women's hair loss A - We have an agreement with a lot of dermatologist in Turkey about women's alopecia areata and we treat all their female patients successfully (shaving not required) If you think i have missed any questions you would like to ask the Doctor then please ask as i am here for 10 more days:D Tomorrow i get to see a patient who has had an 8000 graft procedure (3 procedures) which i can not wait to see. The results, repairs and patients i have seen are very impressive and will be on the Doctors case to get these results posted as i am excited for you guys to see them:D To be continued......
  19. Hariri, i am with the Doc today and will ask him all your questions.
  20. Just a quick report, at the moment i am in Turkey with Dr Doganay and to say the hospitality i have received is an understatement. Today i met with Dr Hakan and he's team, i got to see a patient who had a procedure done yesterday of 2000 grafts and have seen many results of past patients and i have to say the work is is top notch. I have asked him to post these results/videos on the forum for everyone to see. Expect more results to follow... After the meeting the Doctor and spending the morning with him, he invited me out for lunch which was a nice gesture and i duly obliged. We sat and talked for hours about HTs, techniques, ongoing research, food and drink! Tomorrow i shall be visiting him again to look at more results, measure my donor and have a look around the clinic and further discuss my procedure and possibly the Turkish baths in the evening. To be continued....
  21. Sounds great! Bill, how about the advanced hair studio for recommendation:rolleyes:
